- A look at some very nice cars, ex Army FJ Ute and Land rover, some nice early Holdens and a very rare Custom 39 Dodge Hearse. These are all in various stages of original and restored and a credit to their owner. I must say thanks for letting me film them. He has the Military Documentation for the Ute and Land rover which is great to see. At some stage in the future the FJ Ute will be on display in Echuca at the beer shed museum. I hope you enjoy this and keep an eye out for more in the future. I also filmed a couple of other things there which will be in upcoming videos.
Thanks for watching
Old dude has some decent stuff there to play with
Cheers troopie for showing us 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it and yep certainly has some gems there.
That FJ panel van is such a pearler, I wouldn’t mind that in my driveway
Likewise, it’s bloody awesome.
Never seen a Holden fridge before, cool😁
Yeah it’s a pretty cool thing to have.
General Motors owned Frigidaire from 1919 - 1979.
And were manufactured by GMH in Australia.
@@Rob-fc9wg Yep, they sure did
Good stuff. Great cars 🤟
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 thanks for watching
The ole Jack Russel terror on point to make sure the interloper is behaved
On ya bloke. 👍gotta love that EK🇻🇬😎
Yeah it’s a bloody ripper, thanks glad you enjoyed it.
1970's early series 3 Landrover? Looks like to me, that's worth silly money back here in Pommie!
Oh ok, still quite a few of them around here. I’d love one as a daily driver .
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide g'day mate loving your videos
You would love one Of these for a daily driver 🤔
This is where you and I have different opinion 😃 but that's ok mate 👌
Ha ha yep, although I’d fit a 4cyl turbo cummins and 5pd along with patrol diffs.
A sandblasting cabinet in corner , made my own sandblasters that cut like an laser , pushrods & grade 8 bolts & post grinding caper on lathe
Nice
Love it.
Glad you enjoyed it…
Wow, they’re in good nick!
I cook on a GMH stove...LOL. The knobs are located in the dash from a HD Holden.
That’s awesome 👍🏻

@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide all good thanks mate hope you are well too thankyou for the great memories that Dodge hearse looks like TJ RICHARDS built it ???
Started out as a TJR built vehicle then the hearse part was fabricated by another company.
Bloody unreal.
The other fella is right they will never get completed, let someone else complete them and see them in their limelight.
I have nearly completed two restorations, not bare bones, I am in the trade and that's enough.
And I will never ever do another van
Still using 2 series 2a land rovers here they are amazing vehicles, would be lost without them.
That dodge is wild looking with those huge rear windows is that factory or was it done by someone all these cars are so different than what we have in North America we have rebadged Japanese cars but never got anything meant for Australia it's definitely unique to say the least
The dodge is one of 20 or so custom built by a coach builder for funeral homes , hope you enjoy checking out the Australian cars. I just wish we got more of your American vehicles here. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy my other videos as well.
Brilliant cars loved all of them but i want that ex army land rover. Great find mate
Yeah mate I’d love that one as well, just a great machine especially with its military asset number still intact etc. glad you enjoyed the vid
That's fricken awesome! I wonder what company built that old Hearse! I know the original Holden Sadlery Company built a bunch of import models before they became "Holden" with the 48-215. I'd have to go back through my old archives but bloody awesome video man thank you! Oh and thank you for getting permission to video it all, Cheers!
It started life as a TJ Richards built dodge in South Australia then they it was sent to a company called Coachcraft in Glebe nsw owned by a G.H Olding and built into a hearse from new. After this was retired from funeral duties it was used to deliver timber from the funeral companies timber sales yard. The current owner has traced all its history since new.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide that's amazing! Love the history of it! Thanks again man!
The hearse is a old Dodge that was made specific from the dodge company on a specific order. They actually made a line of them which you can still find plenty of in the States but not many were imported to our country worse luck. Such a great design
@@colinmiles9390 For sure, more to the point, this is what I was talking about, see below.

@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide Nice looking Holden fj panel van one if he wants to sell it just let me know
One of your better finds mate . It's a shame there just 1/2 finished . 🤧😪☹🤠
There was something about EK's drainage in front that caused the chassis to corrode out . . working formwork Darwin bought an EK from a wreckers behind our yard , clean as an whistle inside & out apart from an hole in piston old grey motor though still drove it home OK . . but at the time the rusted out chassis at front was too much on the plate with rudimentary welding skills though dab hand with the stick even then
Very nice old humpy and FB very hard to find them in that condition. There used to be a 48 /215 ute in the old Holden dealers showroom in Berriwillock. Maybe you could look it up?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I might suss that out next time I’m down that way for sure.
I think you'll find it's an EK, not an FB
Unfortunately another example of one old bloke with too many cars, all partly worked on but none will likely never ever get finished.
These people should sell them to someone who will do a proper restoration before they're too far gone.
It's a great feeling to be rid of the clutter!
They are all good drivers still except the fx ute shell and the hearse as they stand. Sure it’s cluttered but I do believe he will get the hearse driving next before attempting the bodywork so these have a lot more hope than most that I see.
