I have 3 question if you can help me. 1)Can i cut 2mm acrylic? 2)engrave on metal like bracelet, or bar pendent, or kada 3) what if my product height is 5-6 inches.. How i can engrave...?
1. No you cannot cut acrylic. Its a engraver that can cut paper or cardboard. 2. No, it cannot engrave on metal. 3. You have to raise the machines feet by inserting some temporary supports. I have another video on my channel that shows how to engrave odd sized objects.
Excellent demonstration! Thank you very much. I especially liked your demonstrations of different settings and materials. You gave me some great ideas of thinks I can make with acrylic sheets! 👍👍

I have 6 questions if you can help me. 1) Can I cut 5mm acrylic? 2) Can you engrave and cut at the same time? 3) What is the maximum inch that can be cut? 4) Can only Texts be engraved or images can be cut out? 5)I have a sticker shop can it be useful for me? 6) How to buy spare parts for this?
1. No it can not cut acrylic at all 2. It can only cut paper or thick paper nothing more. Its basically a engraving machine. 3.again not a cutting machine, look for creality falcon series if you want a cutting budget laser machine. 4. Images can be engraved, since the software is primitive and not very interactive, it takes a bit of trial and errror to figure out right settings 5. It cannot cut vinyl, infact you should double check before cutting vinyl on any laser machine because cutting vinyl releases chloride that form acidic fumes with hydrogen that can instantly damage the laser lens. ( google about cutting vinyl with laser to get detailed info) Paper stickers can be cut, again since the software is very basic, you will have to figure out ways to properly layout cuts. 6. Mostly the parts that get damaged are bearings and rubber belts and stepper motor. These are available online easily. However damages to laser head will be very expensive to replace ( almost the cost of new machine) and i would recommend to replace the machine if the laser head stops working once its out of warranty.
hi. I want to start my own engrave enterprise and I want to know if this machine (Creality cv-01 pro) is good enough to cut wood thin lamine and others thin materials.
No, its just a engraving machine and will not cut any material. Its made for hobbyists and will not perform well for a commercial purpose. Transferring drawing to machine is a time consuming process.
This was super helpful!! Got one for Christmas and was so confused on where to start so thank you for sharing and can’t wait to get mine up and running!

Hello how are you I had a problem with creality cv 01 pro, maybe you can help me, everything in my memory was erased and now I can't work with it and I can't find where I could get it from.
Unfortunately being a entry level machine it has some drawbacks. You can align the material by using the laser guide with first press of button that shows the outline of engraving, you can see it without laser goggles. You can try some other methods like aligning all engraving at centre of the work area or laser print a 1 cm guide graph at base board if you dont move your laser around.
@@diywithminijon that's a good idea. I was thinking about designing a guide which would have used steel rods and linear bearings but it would make it overall complicated. Graph mat would be a simple inexpensive way. Thank you
Bhai, please help me getting the software. I have lost my laptop which had the software and now I can't find it anywhere. Please help me get the link or anything to download from. Please🙏
Hi, just saw your video, quite clear and concise ! I wanted to know how much engraving can you do in this until it heats up !? Like what would you think is the maximum operation time for this in one go !?
Hi, thanks for kind words. The motors become too hot to touch in just 4-5 minutes of use but thats normal for any open laser or 3d printer. I have run this machine continously for almost 2 hours and faced no issues. I would However prefer to give it a 15 minutes break after an hour of use to keep it in good health.
@@diywithminijon thanks a lot for the reply, have you tried engraving any images with this !? If yes maybe I can dm you on Instagram and you can show me
I have only used it for engraving text and outlines. Didn't try any images. Its the similar laser head that creality uses on all its engravers. You can find some examples of those on you tube at the " teaching tech " channel.
I added small heat sinks to the side of the motors to help keep the heat down, I got them on amazon package of four. I use them also on my Ender 3 S1 Pro.
No, its a engraving machine only. It can cut thick paper but not mdf or acrylic. You should check newer models of creality falcon series for more powerful lasers.
It can if you increase the number of passes at full power, but the result will be burned on edges. Its a hobby grade engraver machine with low power laser. Its not suited for cutting purposes.
The machine is usually sold with a six month to a year warranty depending on the region. You should contact the dealer you got it from and try to get a replacement piece.
Does it cause burnt edges or browning when used for cutting 230-300 gsm white paper? Want to know whether it is possible to make papercut light/shadow boxes with this
For repeat engraving no. You can simply press the silver button again it will redo the gcode to repeat engraving. To engrave a new file you have to remove card and save the new gcode and then press the silver button to start engraving.
Hi buddy nice and informative video. Wanted to know with this machine , laser capacity is just 1.6W, any idea can we change it with laser head of 5W or more?

Like just outline of text ? You have to uncheck an option that says 'fill' than use laser at 80% power, single pass and work speed as 700. It will give you just the outline.
@@diywithminijonok nice👍. I mean filled design only, but with least depth. It should feel close to a printed or sketched design on touch. Any suggested settings for that?
It will burn out some material for the design to be clear and visible... say a paper thickness depth. You have to experiment on similar scrap material to see what works out. For starters you can import the image and set it as 'vector' with laser at 30-40 % power, single pass and work speed as 900-1000. To further lighten the engraving, you can reduce laser power percentage and increase speed, increasing speed and decreasing power reduces the burn as laser head moves faster and with less brightness. To further reduce the depth of engraving you can apply a clear coat of varnish or PU to fill out the surface.
Needed that version 1.2.0 but no response from creality. Can some one post.thx

Yes the edges of paper are slightly burned even with low laser power settings. Paper cut is fine with brown or coloured papers of dark tone.
Okay, thanks. So, I assume a higher speed machine is needed for white paper cuts
Are there any locations in India where they repair the machine if it has any issues?
