I'd love to see and hear a review on the YAMAHA CSF3M. Any chance of you guys doing one. It looks just like CSF-TA, but has solid mahogany back, sides, and binding at a very reasonable price. The one here is interesting in the concepts with the electronics... but not sure how popular it'll be.
True, I kept mine going all summer with a solar USB charger :D It's amazing how long you can get sound out of one charge as well when using cells instead of batteries. I keep the effect on for hours when I'm playing, and can do it for a few DAYS before I need to swap em. I've also forgotten to press the button when I stop and leave it in the baggy, and there's still enough charge to play through a few sessions the next time I unpack it. Humidity hasn't been an issue either, the electronics didn't break even in 95%. I've also played through a heatwave and in freezing temperatures, this guitar just doesn't seem to care about the weather. Wonder if I can finally crack the finish a bit during next winter. edit+ Try using elixir polyweb extra lights on this and be amazed xD
i can't believe how bad the quality of this recording is. This is a guitar magazine channel? All that over modulation and string popping?! Guys get with the program!
Interesting technology but the guitar sounds dead to me. Not a clean, glassy tone. Just dull with no life. The effects are cool but my Hohner DR550 sounds wayyyy better for less than $300.(Hard to find these days) and I can electrify it or just play through a good mic. Like the player-excellent style.
It's a parlor guitar, it's not going to sound like a full-size guitar. However, with the effects, it has more than plenty of resonance for a full-bodied guitar sound. The idea is to take it with you traveling or to play with effects sans the amp, not to lug a full-size guitar and an amp around while on vacation or having to plug in just to get a little reverb.
Yamaha around the world is proud of Japan👍
nice looking guitar too!

Im looking for my first acoustic in the parlor size, would you suggest this one? There's a nice used option for $550
@Sam Armstrong which model Alvarez??
Does the TA system amplify the sound - is it louder than a regular guitar
I got one of these, what strings are you using
Does anybody know what song /tune, he's playing at the start?
Not a song... just picking some random chords.
This is an off grid guitar!

But only the Top are solid wood, back and side no, before to do a Guitar with effects, do a solid wood guitar, and after that, put the effects yamaha.
that's the LL-TA and LS-TA, solid with transacoustic.
Yes I realize this is 2 yrs later, but for anyone else reading this is available.
