0:47 right after the first half of Malric's speech(after words "It was I who restored it to its former Glory!"), Argon parries with "My father cannot rest in peace until Agathian integrity is restored to the Throne!"
Also in the end there was the next exchange:
Malric: "Sheeth your sword! Join us in repelling of Galencourt! This is bigger, than our petty squapple!"
Argon II: "The rain of Mason Order ends here, today! There is no stopping the Will of the people!"

first a small note, you seem to be missing half the speech. But that aside!
Argon's a bloody moron. The Tenosian Empire is ransacking his lands, pillaging his towns and murdering his people, but naah.. revenge more important!
Malric offers him a temporary truce to beat back Tenosia. naaah, must avenge muh dada!
Malric is here defending the kingdom from Tenosia by having his elite stationed in the south, while dealing with this upstart whelp's rebellion. He's giving the people of the kingdom a chance to claim what they want to be, rather than be tied down by their birth. Someone born a peasant can become a general under Malric if they so choose - not under Argon.
Honestly why would anyone want to serve Argon after witnessing this? Malric's people have stood and bled in the defense of both Mason and Agathian lands when Tenosia rose from the south. Argon is just burning is way through Vantear with only singleminded revenge in his eyes, and not a care in the world for any of the people that want to side with him. Hells, he's even forcing the peasants to take up arms to defend their towns, with no training, no equipment, and a garrison that reponds far too late to an incoming attack.
Both in the case of Coxwell and Bridgetown, the Garrison shows up only when all the peasants have already been slain. But when a Mason town is attacked, do you see defenseless peasants take up a desperate stand because the garrison is still sleeping? No. The soldiers are already charging out at the attackers.
For the Order! For the Red, and Black!

Malric could have just offered this alliance earlier though. It is only at Trayan that he actually tries to make peace with Argon. And Argon doesn't directly order cities and villages and towns, it's the lord's and noble's faults, not Argon's. This does mean that the nobles of Agatha are flawed, though. Also, Malric getting rid of "birthright" is false, as he has an HEIR in Rudhelm. Heirs imply birthright. It is likely that the peasantry also did fought out of choice or out of necessity, as in Bridgetown, they say "Us peasants must make a stand!". The Garrison might take too long, of course. That's an issue, of course, but shouldn't be blamed on King Argon II.

@@supernate760 Aye, Malric does have an heir - which has some interesting lore on him, given he was born from Argon the First's sister or daughter. One of the two, though she died shortly before Malric returned from the crusades.
In any case, he's likely just the heir to Malric's things, just like how Tim the Tanner's son would take over his father's workshop after his death. Sure its a bit grander in Malric's case, and nobles do still serve under him, but he does promise a lot more freedom than the Agathians. At least, on paper. If its the same in practice, I do not know.
What I do know is that, yes, Malric could've offered a truce sooner - but it was just as likely Argon would've waived it away. The lion's whelp is too proud and stubborn to accept it, which might be why Malric waited until he had Argon literally at the tip of his blade. I cant fault Argon for being an inexperienced leader either, even if I prefer the Masons, because he is still young. Like, what, between 19-22? That's far too young to be leading an entire kingdom. Its very likely the nobles in his court are taking full advantage of him.
So is it directly Argon's fault? No. He should be less proud and stubborn, and actually see Tenosia for the threat it is. But he's too inexperienced. Should Malric have offered a truce sooner? Aye. As soon as the Bulwark went down, he should've sent a raven to Argon. They're both flawed.
In any case, yay order, boo agatha. And the Tigress is one hell of a scary Empress. I hope she shows up in person soon
