mushrooms on pizza are surprisingly good. it barely even shows up as anything on the slice but it adds that slight hint of extra you didn't know you'd like.

Mushrooms go well on most things, they absorb flavors very well and some mushrooms even taste exactly like meat.

I can't believe I just sat here for 10 minutes and 51 seconds watching the TF2 team fighting over which toppings belong on a pizza.

I watched these guys argue about fast food restaurants for over 11 minutes, so this isn't much different to me anyway.
While it was amusing hearing most of the team arguing about what toppings that should be put on pizza (with various agreements and disagreements of specific ones), I kinda figured the moment pineapple would be brought up (by Pyro of all people), they all unite and act like a crime against humanity was committed.
Though, I'm surprised nobody suggested the anchovies..... to be fair, most don't like anchovies on the pizza anyways.
Anchovies are a common topping in italy, but they share the same issue with bacon: they can be very salty if the restaurant uses salted ones. On the other hand, fresh anchovies cooked on the moment on the pizza are a manna dal cielo, lips-smacking perfection.
This is another situation that would be fixxed if they did the sensible thing: Order their own pizzas. They're mercs, they're stacked. They can afford to buy their own pizzas, and not have to fight over what would go on a pizza.
All toppings have their origins.
Some may like them, some may don't.
The important thing that often gets lost here is...
That everyone has differing tasts.
No Topping is absolut good or absolute evil.
All find their place in someone's heart.
Conflict only leads to conflict, but not to understanding.
Respect others, and they'll respect you.

Problem is that's kinda the point of it.
Fighting over completely trivial things that has virtually no impact on life provides the thrill of an argument, without any real repercussion.
It is simply so much fun.
I would much rather willingly participate in a heated argument in pizza toppings compared to being forced into some debate over serious matters like mRNA vaccines or China.

Honestly, I'm with Scout and Soldier, no mushrooms on pizza.

Little know fact: Theres a pizza that dosen't have chess at all (just tough and tomato sauce),wich isn't really that bad as long as the sauce itself is good.
My personal taste on pizza topping is salami.
I like salami on bread, so salami on pizza is basiclly salami on bread.
Other toppings:
Ham, Margarita, Mozzarella, mushruum (I personally don't really like them, has a weird taste and texture).
try prosciutto as well. It has a similar taste to salami but is a bit tougher and more flavorful. It's also cured strips rather than a sausage.
Whenever I order pizza, I get it with spinach, mushrooms, anchovies, and extra garlic.
I do this so that nobody will ask me for a slice, and my breath will become so overpowering that nobody will try and talk to me.

People only hate pineapple cause it's meta, just follow the crowd. I hated it too cause of it. I was once getting pizza hut with my dad and we talked about it. He said it was good and insisted I try it. We ended up getting a small pizza with pineapples just to try to go along with the taco pizza's we got. I actually liked it. It adds a sweetness to it, not too strong that dulls the other flavors and not too weak when you can't taste it at all. It was pretty good.

My theory of what each class crust preferences
Scout, soldier and Heavy: Deep dish crust, can hold a lot of meat and provides a lot of energy.
Sniper, Medic and Spy: Thin Crust, light and delicate also can eat one handed while working
Engineer and Demo: Cheese stuffed crust, engineer knows how to make a mean cheese stuffed crust and demoman knows that eating cheese helps with hangovers
Pyro: Calzon, Ha you thought I would say burnt but no, pyro likes to keep the flavors inside the dough a mystery
Can relate to all of them, each preference sounds delicious, specially the calzon, I love calzon
