94 camry v6 LE idles too high: fixed

This car was idling at over 1000 rpms even after engine was warm. Replaced coolant temperature sensor on left top side if engune and this took care if the problem. Engine now idles at about 750 to 800 rpms once it reaches operating temp.

Dumb guy question: what is the purpose of draining the coolant prior to torquing the sensor?
