Knight v. Pawn Endings, Part 2 | Test Your Knowledge | Principles of Chess Endgames | GM Naroditsky

- In this video, the second part of the Practicum, I offer a set of seven (7) exercises aimed at developing your ability to thrive in Knight vs. Pawn endgames [i.e. one side has a knight and/or pawn(s), the other side has only pawn(s)]. In Part I, you took the side of the pawns; now, the shoe is on the other foot, and you will be solving from the POV of the side with the knight and/or pawn(s). Each carefully-selected exercise is drawn from a real-life game, and together, the exercises and meticulously-presented solutions - are aimed at helping you cement and expand your understanding of the key concepts, ideas, theoretical positions, and nuances that undergird knight v. pawn endgames.

The quality of these videos are insane for something that he just gives out for free. I really think Danya is the greatest modern ambassador for chess in the world.
I was really excited to hear when he'd drop his King's Indian course and he finishes it up with "hopefully this millennium" lmao
I’m genuinely feining for it as a terrible kings indian player who bets his nuts on playing f5 and winging it from there
Exact same here lol, his Jobava course was great so have really been looking forward to more of his courses! Hopefully before 3000 😂
Knights are so hypnotic man. They are almost always synonymous with beauty in chess. It amazes me how GMs just know how to maneuver their knights to the right squares so elegantly as though they were another straight line piece like the bishop. I'm sure knight endgame studying affords them that ability. Gotta take endgames more seriously.
Appreciation to Danya for being such an amazing ambassador for chess! This endgame series is fascinating to watch even for a casual player like me.
Danya's well spokeness and enthusiasm made this a great unintentional asmr. I was very relaxed watching this lol
This endgame series has brought me a huge amount of elo❤
Daniel is the only chess content creator who have skills to make endgame videos ❤🎉 Other all are busy ranting theoretical opening lines and reading game notation .
Ooh, we love to see an endgame lesson for the 1800+ crowd. Thank you Daniel
This is the video of a scholar, thinker and a great human being who rescues the spirit of a knight instead a body of a king.
Yay endgames!
Kept refreshing the profile page twice a day hoping for a new speedrun entry,
but this is even better!
Thank you Danya for going back to this series and developing it ❤
best chess youtuber and commentator 🙏 you will always learn something new from danya. KUDOS
gonna watch it tomorrow, tired rn 🤠
So true! I have a chess coach that works directly with me, and I struggle to determine which I learned more from . Danya has covered so many topics and areas many times and in many ways, that it’s hard not to learn from him.
Could not agree more - Danya is the GOAT of chess explaining and commenting
The endgame series is my favorite chess content on all of UA-cam, so glad to see a new installment!
That last puzzle was a work of art... what a beautiful game.
Hey man, this is one of my favorite videos you do. Keep up the great work! looking forward to the KIA class. Much love from South Texas!
the prophet is back with another banger🎉 thank you danya for these very educational videos that you provide us seemingly with pure passion 🙏
Everytime you post a new video i feel more engaged and learn more about chess theories and it helps improve my game!
My insticts are screaming that this series is going to be classic in history....Please remind me after decade

Force field concept is just insaaaaane. Thank you Danya
Love this series. Super high quality with insane amount of work put into it. Looking forward to more endgame episodes.
Great to see another endgame video, was afraid the series was on permanent hiatus
Nice to see you back!
I love these videos so much. I was even able to find some of the crucial lines (very satisfying)! Thanks you!
Thanks!
I been waiting for your post
Another instructive lesson from the best chess teacher out there. Thank you for your massive library of amazing (and free) content.
Unbelievable work. Thanks danya. We love you ♥️
Finally another endgame video, I love you Danya
This is exactly the type of content i'd love to see more off!
Danya, I WANT TO SEE YOU WITH MORE CONTENT! Thank you!
GM DN DROPPING ANOTHER BANGER LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
The best chess series period
One more superb lesson from The Prophet!
Wake up bro Daniel Naroditsky just dropped🔥🔥
Finally I love the endgame videos❤
I really enjoyed this endgame videos as always -- they're both highly educational and interesting.
I think you should split the video up if they're this long even if it may increase clutter, since a random viewer is probably going to daunted at seeing an hour and a half long video about endgames. I also enjoy these more when watching in multiple sessions.
Endgame is finally here
"Very unique" positions are not that useful for an average player. But the themes and their examples are a goldmine, this compensates any shortcomings (if there were any) of the lecture. Thanks for great educational content.
all the many other hats you wear are all impressive but when you sit down to teach like this....unmatched.
I'd only put Judit Polgar in the same stratosphere teaching wise.
Danya doesn't care about views. He cares about us
Great presentation, wow.
Literally the best YT chess series ever created. Thank you for taking your time and making this work of art.
This particular video was probably best for 2000+ OTB players. It might be a good idea to estimate who would get the most from each video near the beginning.
This couldn't come at a better time for me. I got tilted earlier and blew a 150 rating points. I always come back twice as strong after a Nard dog video.
Danya I hope that u're mentally ok. Please take care of urself!
Leetss gooooo!!!
scintillating exercises
Honestly, it is worth the wait of 6 months for the quality of content we are getting on the end game for free.
BRO WE MISSED YOU!!
Naroditsky's wording has become more complicated than the endgame itself
At 35:15 the king can go to e3 as well not forced to take to make the draw
I like you :)
Cool Videos and great presentation, simply Awesome!
Hell yeah new danya video
We’re so back 💪
i feel like i should be paying for this….
I understood some of these words individually.
First puzzle i solved by going king b3
Lesson from that English teacher never learned to this day 😂 If you know, you know.
Hell yeah
oh yes!
good
This does put a smile on my face - Thanos
Wake up babe, new Danya endgame video just dropped
thank you so uch Danya sensai
Liked 20 seconds into the video.
In the first position almost all moves are completly winning, but okey.
I now understand its more of a introduction to a concept.
1:17:46 doesn't knight h2 also work here?
Lets goo
27:45 Kd8 is a sloppy move. After g5 hxg6 black can start with h5 to win a tempo, Kf8 instead makes the game 'close' by forcing you to take on g6 immediately and calculate. However, black can win a different way after Kf8 there's Nc5 attacking b7 and looking to fork on d7, b8=N is forced, but this is obviously a losing move, with how badly white's pieces are placed nothing is stopping the h-pawn, g5 wins and Ne6+ wins and it's not even close.
After Kf8, g5 is better for a different reason hxg6 Kxg6 Ke7 h5 Kd6 Kf5 Kc6 Ke6 Kb6 Nb8 Kc7 Nd7. This wins much faster since you keep your knight and don't have to deal with a queen against b-pawn endgame or deal with a white knight.
This is free? I feel like I'm stealing!
Kramnik is challenging you for 50k USD in blitz on Twitter. Will you accept?
5:00
Cant believe this s* is free
I don't play chess danya is just a nice teacher to listen to in general
Speedrun's dead?
(Time to be cringe) I’m a simple man, i see a Santa video, I click.
He shall now be nown as.. Naroditsky Clause!
@@danielholta5721 lol
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Yo what I’m the first view that’s wild
1.5hr video drops and 10 minutes later, we already have people praising Danya as the best teacher. I agree he's great (I watch almost every vid), but something feels off about posting comments like that before watching the video. I feel like the chess community of any would respect proving quality of content by seeing it played out on the board over just spamming opinions. You never know, perhaps 30 minutes in he could start accusing young chess stars of cheating, and offering levy $200K chess camps to guaranteed earn grandmaster title. I've seen stranger things happen in the chess community...well, at least as strange.
What
bro u trippin
Parroting. Happens in every comment section
Good players watch at x10 speed obviously

Даниель, А можешь сделать такое же видео на русском?
make it every language!
Hi mr Daniel
I don't understand the need to put such long videos. Please make it short to 30 minutes and be to the point 1 and half hour is too long and boring and you keep talking about other things in the middle 😐
I don't think this channel is for you lol These are essentially endgame courses. Be an adult and watch it in one position chunks at a time if your attention span is so low.
Shush. You're not paying a dime for this. This isn't youtube entertainment.
