huh? Stockfish 15 browser sees +5 instantly on Qg6, hence it's called a blunder by the game analysis (depth 14)
also, I have seen moves that the engine doesn't realize are best until depth 30, but I am definitely not better than Danya.

Besides sacrificing The Rook I feel like this is the ultimate demonstration of why the bishop pair is so dominant in an open end game. Despite the king being very vulnerable in the corner the Bishops were able to cover back rank multiple times while still fulfilling other jobs.

What a treat. An hour long of free chess class by a GM, clearly demonstrating his thought process, his proposed lines, his ideas, and the final execution. Hands down Danya's the best chess teacher online. I wish they can just dock 400 rating pts from him so we can watch him play these 2200s over and over again. Restarting the speed run with him playing the 12, 1300 doesn't really help because those guys blunder too much. And kudos to this opponent ... it came down to a small difference between that black rook on the C file vs D file that ultimately made Danya's tactic worked to a charm. But also kudos to the bishop G5 idea. That was a great move.
And yes, not a single second spent on the engine that tells you the answer rather than making you learn to critically analyze your game.

Most people at my level play cxd5 and then Nc3 or Bc4. This was the best example of a wining tactic coming “out of nowhere” I’ve ever seen. Black played an amazing game with no clear mistakes but then suddenly, as if chess was a solved game, it simply turns out all of danya’s pieces were in the exact squares they needed to be, not only forming a mate threat but defending against all counterplay. It turns out Black lost the moment he sat down to play danya. Amazing

After a moment when i played the rook sacrifice danya played, the eval bar went up the roof to +6. Even the engine didnt comprehend how strong the sacrifice danya made at first!!! 5:55 I don't usually find cuts like this too jarring, but when we are encouraged to 'think for about a minute' before an immediate cut to the move played, it can be frustrating. Perhaps consider some fade style cut in situations like these? Anything to make it obvious that we will be skipping time so we can pause and think if we choose before seeing Danya's 'solution'.
Great content as usual though! I always learn a lot from this channel and particularly the Sensei series. Highest quality chess videos on youtube imo.

Considering it's such a disturbing move to the strategy, I am very interested as to how that Qe4 move "discourages" but not stops f5.
