@@DankMagician420I just play the englund against D4 but I'm just a lowly 1500.
Mainly for 2 reasons. I refuse to play a normal boring London game and it's a lot of fun.
Objectively worse? Yes. But a lot of traps for white London players to fall into very quickly if they're not precise. If you play a lot of London zombies that always just move their pieces to the same squares as white you'll have a great time with it.
Anyways I'm currently at 64% win rate in this opening as black and a lot of games end very quickly. So as long as you're not planning on playing professionally and like fun and open positions (and despise the London) give it a try. It gets a lot of bad reputation because it's technically unsound, but you're playing people and not computers and people fall apart when you force them onto unknown territory.
Search for englund gambit chessbrah here on yt if you're interested in the lines.

Hi Alex! I love your videos man, I learned a lot in the last couple of weeks watching your caro kann and jobava videos. As a 1000 rated player I like to see the games against 1500 to 2000 players, but I also like to watch you play against higher opponents.

Fantastic job Alex! It’s all the nuances of different lines that black tries and your responses in the Jobava that make it interesting to learn. Your ideas on connected passers in that last game where things could have gone either way was worth learning. Keep pushing it on the rating climb. Excellent content. I appreciate you are pushing yourself to the wire on time too. Thank you!

I like watching both types of videos. I suck, so seeing the lower rated ones are more relatable, but watching the higher rated ones are entertaining and twist my brain as you calculate 400 moves ahead and then I have an anxiety attack as you get down to 5 seconds while they have like 3 mins and you still do some pre-move sorcery. All entertaining. And you explain and talk slower than Gotham so I can actually attempt to retain some info. Great teaching and stellar analogies.

Higher Elo games are more intense, so there are many more high level ideas going on. Much better than lower Elo games where they just don't squeeze the juicy tactics out of your head.
Like in the last game here, it's the first time I see the idea of connecting two passed pawns like that. I mean you did that on purpose, kept your cool with his pawn queening while you executed your own promotion sequence. That was some top level awesomeness.

Alex, i like your hypothesis about why it's easier for you to beat 2200's than 1800's.. because the 'correct' moves are predictable. As a martial artist, I can't help but think of Bruce Lee's similar comment, something like 'I can easily defeat an experienced martial artist but a big, strong enraged man without training is impossible to predict'.

Hi Alex and thanks for your educational videos! May I ask you if you ever start pushing your kingside pawns after the regular 3-4 Jobava moves to break through to your opponent’s king ? I am not talking about the normal pawn storm with black’s bishop on f5 though. I see that some other good Jobava players do that occasionally and I can’t remember you doing that despite having watched all or close to all of your Jobava videos on UA-cam 😊 You’re a great teaching by the way!

    Hi Alex !
I would like You to do Both:
Play the Jobava London against Beginners as well as against High Rated Players.
    Same for the Caro-Kann.
And Same for Your best Recommendation of what to play as Black, if 1. is not e5 for White, which I presume would be the Kings Indian.
And Same for Your best Recommendation if playing 1. d4 as White, is met by Black with something that doesn't allow the Jobava London (preferable a Single opening for White which would work for everything that doesn'tallow the Jobava London).
All this with the idea to end up with a comprehensive and as simple as possible Repertoire, that would work against whatever your opponent does, whether as Black or as White.
I would like to also suggest that You emphasize even more the explanations of the simple logical ideas behind the moves, to minimize the need for memorization of moves.
On this last point You are Already doing a Fantastic Job, - just emphasize this even more, --- if at all possible.
Further I would like to suggest to not do video coverages of high level tournaments You may be playing in, --- just stick with videos of playing regular games against high and low rated players, maybe on a ratio of about 50% to 50%.
It would also be great if You could intersperse the above with Demonstrations (You doing all the moves) to use these to additionally Highlight and Emphasize the most important concepts, which would form the basic, logical framework for all.
Thank You so much for Your Fantastic and Entertaining Work !

I had the same impression over my development. I am 1600 now and it's really easy to stay 1600 and still improve. At the 1450-1550 range my rating fluctuated a lot. People just destroyed my openings. The most frustrating part was that I couldn't just 'play solid'. Now at 1600, I don't even have to focus to maintain my rating, because I just have to play slow and steady and they will make a blunder sooner or later and collapse. I don't understand how, but 1500s' blunders were more like missed tactics and in general bad play, 1600s play well and then hang their pieces simple and clean.

I just played Jobava against an FM OTB and he played the quick 3. c5 line to which is am supposed to respond with e3 according to Simon Williams' chessable course. However he totally doesn't look at the line where black plays Bg4 and then after f3 retreats to d7 which results in a horrendously equal position which is not fun to play. Anyway I am really well prepared in most lines of the Jobava but not so much this one, and the more I look at it I realize that probably responding 3. c5 with e4 is more fun. What will be in your course for this?

Yes, i personally would love some more lower ratet opponents, since there is often so much stuff im not sure how to deal with.
And i think above 2000elo there are only a few lines played.

We want higher rated games, I loved this video, I like how you still play very confidently in time scrabbles, and I'd like to see an opponent that'd actually try to break the opening if possible 😂

Hi Alex, I enjoy all the games, but since you asked--I would probably enjoy seeing games against the lower rated opponents since its harder for me to relate to smoking 2200s.😆

As far as I know, when playing the London E5 is your square to protect....Keep them off it at all costs.. If you are playing this line, is that still the same objective for your opening?

Let’s see some 700-800 games. I’m confused when they play nh5 on the pawn storm. The same for Karo when they don’t get into the e 4 d4 positions
