  • With so many Americans and other Immigrants flooding into Mexico, why is no one talking about why so many Mexicans still immigrate to the USA and Canada for a better life and opportunities. The same thing you are thinking about currently doing by moving to Mexico. Kinda ironic don't you think? Let's discuss what is actually going on here. #Mexico #USA #Immigration #Canada

I moved out of the U.S. 20 years ago. Mexico gave me my life back. Both countries have good and bad. I prefer Mexico. I live free, happy and with less stress and anxiety. I love Mexico and would NEVER go back to the U.S. I dont even like to go to visit family it stresses me out. VIVA mi Mexico hermoso!!! Its cool if you like the U.S. and for some it is great country, just dont tell us we can't be happy outside of the USA.

We can't ignore the fact that a big reason is simply misconception about life in the USA. I think a lot of people around the world still believe the US to be the land of milk and honey, where jobs are abundant and they all pay well. But that's far from the truth, because as we all know, it's a struggle on that side of the border too, for the majority of people

All the Mexican friends I made in Canada where here to work and make lots of money (a dishwasher getting paid more than a cardiologist... ) 90% went back home, and the rest ends up going back as well disillusioned after a coupla winters and especially, when they have children and want them to grow up in their warm culture.
They were such a joy to work with, too - hardworking yet so happy, jolly, funny, protective of the girls and honest. They’d throw the best parties, make a big pozole and invite everyone like we’re family 🥰 🇲🇽

Interesting topic, a lot to explore here. I just left the US and moved to Vallarta. I'll be teaching English online, and working on some of my own projects. I'm a nomad at heart and have lived in a few different places, South Korea and Shanghai, China, where I taught English. The last few years since covid I got short-term jobs near a few national parks in the US. It was great, and I saved some cash, but I want to get back to flexibility, making my own schedule, and living on my own terms. Plus just the chance to experience life in Mexico and work on my Spanish, is what drew me here. With the cost of living in the US, it's easy to get trapped at a job, with a lease, and be working all the time just to give it all away in rent...with the cheaper cost of living in Mexico (and SE Asia, where I plan to go next year) I'll be able to work less, and actually save more. It's a better situation, and I'm having more fun. Anyhow, great video. Keep them coming!

your correct 15th largest economy and the reason many leave is they go with an economic plan work 2-3 yrs hard save as much as possible and go back
home way ahead of the game what you make abroad in those 2-3 yrs its the equvealent of 10yrs work in mexico if they worked 10yrs hard in US or Canada
and invested most income they can go back home retired for rest of there lives :)

SO TRUE. In the late 70's, 80's and 90's 85-90% of all young men from Jalisco would migrate to the U.S for a better future. Now maybe only 10-15% of young men are leaving Jalisco. The majority of people I know are staying and working in Mexico. it's not worth it so much to leave it all behind for the mighty dollar.

Venezuelans became the largest nationality arrested for illegally crossing the U.S. border, replacing Mexicans for the first time on record, according to figures released Saturday that show September was the second-highest month for arrests of all nationalities.

Even so often the farmer would receive a letter for more information about his supervisor from one government agency inquiring about him. The farmer would tell the guy that it was time for him to find another ID to use so he can continue working. The farmer was very satisfied with the work ethnic the guy had. Thats how many people that live for example in Tijuana, cross the border everyday to San Diego to earn dollars and spend Mexican pesos. I also believe that many Mexicans don't dream about living in USA forever since they feel less "free" in that country. I don't think that it'd have to do much with violence in Mexico

The fact is that tourists just focus themselves on visiting the same archeological zones (Chichen Itzá, Teotihuacan, Tulum and sometimes Monte Alban or Uxmal), but there are many others that are equally relevant and impressive, just like Calakmul, Xochicalco, Cantona, Teotenango, Toniná, Edzna, Comalcalco, Chalcatzingo, Tamtoc, Bonampak, Cacaxtla-Xochitecatl, Tetzcotzinco, La Quemada, Cuicuilco, El Cerrito, Malinalco, Tzintzuntzan, etc.

Most people don't have that and have to struggle to bring in the views by pulling various strategies to sustain interest. You are immediately someone I feel I can trust and I like your personality. Most UA-camrs don't have that immediate likability factor.
Editing, preparartion on what you're going to discuss, and doing a bit of research to strengthen your claims will go a very long way toward sustaining interest and getting repeat viewers. Right now your unedited, freestyle style of producing content is a bit problematic because the lack of editing and prep causes you to be inadvertently repetitive. Like, there are multiple points where you literally repeat the same thing in like 5 different ways. Editing out the repetition can help a lot with that. Also be sure to discuss things you have real knowledge about so you can be as useful as you could be on this very uniquely complex topic. It seems you approach things by playing it by ear and it would be better if a bit a reaearch was conducted to add a sense of expertise. Most people that watch your videos are eagerly looking for an authority on the subject. You living there for 4 years makes you a great authority on this topic but playing it by ear makes it come across as unsure and unsupported.
The last thing, I haven't watched enough of your content to know your intent. I've gotten the impression you are pro-Mexico and also the impression you're anti-Mexico. Maybe you're both but if that's the case you have to be clearer about that. People are going to watch either looking for someone to confirm their resservations they may have about Mexico or to confirm their wishful thinking regarding life in Mexico. People should feel better informed after watching your video. The driving through what appears to be a Mexican ghetto is also a bit confusing and a tad off-putting because you don't know if you're doing that because you hate Mexico and want to show people "reality" but in that case you're absolutely wrong to be claiming those neighborhoods represent the reality of Mexico. So that I'm not too sure is working out. It gives your channel an anti-Mexican feel that isn't accurate. It's as if I recorded myself driving through the worst part of L.A. and claimed that's the reality of L.A.
The above was intended in the most friendly manner possible. You can ignore it or apply some of the suggestions and advice. Whatever the case, you got something fresh and very informative here. Wish you luck and you've got a subscriber.

I can mention few reasons why the mexican can't or won't go work north
    1. visa restrictions, language barrier, rules over rules.
2.work ethic, in Mexico one may be at work 10 hrs but really work 6 hrs. where outside the country people work full hours.
    3. culture diference. life in the north is really boring, expensive, etc where in Mexico one can have 1 beer or 6 while at work listen to their favorite regional music and that's fine with everyone. That's not permissible in the north.
    3. The feeling of being exploited and looked down upon which may be less inside Mexico

with your particular example with the ad you saw for butcher jobs in canada, but this could apply to any area of work. 2000 usd per month would be not a very good wage for somebody who has decent experience as a butcher. still, it's actually slightly more than minimum wage, (depending what the minimum wage is where you live) and you can live a simple life and save money on 2000 dollars a month. but in my opinion its immoral for these companies to be taking advantage of mexicans or other foreigners like that. I personally worked at a place before where I would help to deliver poultry, but in the processing plant where they would clean the birds, they hired a lot of filipinos, and even though they were super hard workers, they didn't pay them very well.

Down in Imperial Valley California, Yuma Arizona areas mostly all the field work is performed by seasonal migrants. They are bused daily over the border to work the fields and return to Mexico the same day. Back around 2012 they were making $10.00 per hour and had federal taxes taken out of their pay checks too.
Those fields used to be owned by real farmers, but now one entity owns the land, and the owner contracts out a company to plant the fields (whatever they decide to plant), and another company is responsible for harvesting the field. Both of those companies are responsible for hiring a company in Mexico to bring in their workers. They are fed and provided health/sanitary conditions while working under federal guidelines. In those areas they even have Arabian palm trees that bear the date fruit, where they are harvested usually in August in 100+ temps.
They deserve more than $15.00 per hour for sure.

As a first generation immigrant who still remembers when at 4yrs old my dad got deported after an INS raid on an orchard/harvest he was working, these benefits and perks immigrants supposedly get are news to my family. There were no handouts growing up in the 80s and 90s. No easy loans. Their first mortgage was a 13% interest loan 11 yrs after living here, 4 after amnesty. As a matter of fact if you were to ask me about easy passes into the country I would say Cubans have had fast tracked immigration just because the US gov has a problem with the Cuban gov. Meanwhile Mexican and Central American immigrants get told to get in line and "do it the legal way" and blames for taking all the jobs while also at the same being on welfare which doesn't make sense. My SSA income statements begin when I was 13! My extended family all worked the fields in Northern CA. Don't know what special benefits we supposedly got that an average American didn't. I didn't even apply for or claim unemployment benefits until I was 28. And that was the only time in my life and for only 6 weeks.
