Great instructional video. To the point, didn't waste any time on pointless drivel at the start. Love it. Step by step, highlighted potential pitfalls and used correct terminology for various components/tools which are helpful for the DIYers needing to acquire said items. Really useful. Thanks for this. Thumbs up and am now sub'd to your channel.

That galvanized spout nipple is not good. Not sure why people use galvanized pipe on water lines. I see soot of general contractors who do that . I get calls all the time because no water flow because of the galvanized pipe.

Awesome
BEFORE removing the faucet it is best to check whether it is a slip on or it is a screw on
Absolutely do some investigating before dismantling

Not a 1 size fits all, probably need to take the old to supply place and have someone match it for you
Great video . Very easy to follow and I learned something new today. Thank you
So many different names on Amazon … how do I know what kind do I have
Probably a stupid question but does the water main need to be shut off when doing this?
@@SathingtonWilaby yes, for sure
The tub water still flows when turning the shower head on. Does it just require a new kit or something with water pressure? Thanks
Probably needs a new diverter

How new shower faucet don’t fit old one
What if you put in new assembly and everything works but the cold water? It isn't the cutoff valve.
Make sure water is on 1st...might have the cold stem in there wrong? Hard to say
I bought the exact same kit as yours. Somehow the two stems on the sides isn't fitting. Everything else fits. I am stumped.
Probably a different faucet?

Hi. What could cause the shower valve in the middle not to work? I replaced the valve and it still doesn't work.
Hard to say without putting hands on it ?...I would suggest shuffling thru UA-cam or having a plumber look at it
What if you just want to change the knobs.
That will make the job a lot easier...They make handle kits for just about every set up, just have to make sure its adaptable to your stems...
I need to do this also.. Whats that kit called from homedepot?
There's an Amazon link in the description that shows the kit I used
How did you shut off the water supply? And where is the valve? Is it possible to shut it off by the water heater?
If there are no shutoff s to isolate the shower you'll have to shut off the whole house . should be by the water meter where it comes into the house
@@GetToThePointplz123 Ok. After I shut it off I have to let the water run until it stops, correct?
Open the lowest faucet in the house and the shower to let air in the lines so it will drain faster

How much can you expect a plumber to charge to install this for you?
Depends on where your at but I would expect $200-$400 for a plumber
