Thank you for the info.!
I have Delta faucets in my house, they always send me the replacement seals, o-rings, cartridges whatever I need, for free.
Free is even cheaper than 50 cents.
Who makes the best screw on real chrome spout?
That is good that you can still buy a high quality compression faucet.
Thanks for the info
Great video. Does the ProPlus have the scald guard feature that single handle systems have?
It does not. 99% of 3 handle faucets are non scauld guard
@@PlumbingPartsPro Thanks for the quick reply
Thank you!!!!
What do you think of . Glacier Bay
Aragon 3-Handle 1-Spray Tub and Shower Faucet in Chrome (Valve Included)
$70 at Home Depot currently.. I’m trying to decide between that and central brass 3 handle for $133
Central brass all the way. The stems in the glacier bay are all plastic. We sell them in our site see link. People need to really think about the shower faucet quality before install because it's a more difficult installation than a basin faucet. plumbingpartspro.com/products/glacier-bay-washerless-tub-stem-pair
Thanks for the great content and helping folks save money and better quality equipment. If I want to install the ProPlus do the stems typically fit the existing valve body hardware in the wall? How common is it that you need to replace the valve body itself?
Almost always, the stems are designed to fit the specific valve body
I watched this vid about a year ago, as well as the recommendedation of a couple others, and purchased this Pro Plus 3 handle rough in valve cuz ai was sick of the old Delta plastic stems breaking off and replacements not lasting long.
Just finally got around to installing this recently, and am having an issue with the hot and cold valves being very difficult to turn. Very spongey, and stiff to turn.
Diverter valve is super easy and smooth to turn, but hot and cold are a pain in the tookus.
It's a fresh install so there is no calcium or other build-up in there yet. They are so stiff to turn that it's causing the splines on the valve stems and handles to deform, so I have wiggly jiggly handles already.
Any ideas why they could be so hard to turn? Perhaps I should remove them and apply some silicone to the rubber gaskets?
Any tips would be appreciated.
It sounds like the packing nuts are too tight. Try loosening the nut 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Plumbers Grease may help as well
No integral stops?
No it does not. Most 3 handle tub and shower faucets do not have them. Most have an access panel behind the tub and have valves installed inline behind them for isolation.
Where can I buy one asap
We have some in stock and updated the website
Do you know where I can purchase the Pro Plus? Actually I have a plumber coming and I want to have him purchase it. Thank you!
There should be a link in the description of the video. If you dont see it, you can go to our website plumbingpartspro
@@PlumbingPartsPro Thank you.
Why do people still like three-handle tub shower faucets? The big disadvantage is they don't reset to bath after you shower.
It's not that people still like them, a lot of older homes have these already installed pre 1990 and instead of remodeling the tile work for a single handle faucet, they make a few replacement options for those who dont want to or cant afford a remodel.
With some single-handle faucets I wonder how you activate the shower--there's a button you either push or pull--I wonder if this kind automatically goes back to bath after a shower.
The Kohler K-303-k has a spring loaded diverter stem that you pull out to send to the shower head and is supposed to release once the water is turned off
@@PlumbingPartsPro So I assume it also returns to bath.
One word: Flowrate.
