- How to Program GM Remote key for Cars or Trucks. Easy Many different Models and Years same. ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR CAR/Truck door is closed while programming Remote. Once you have programmed your remote all of the features should work, such as security alarm system, trunk release button, and any other features on your remote.

It’s crazy we have UA-cam now to show us these things, years ago we would’ve had to go to lock smith or dealership and pay 200-300$ just to program a key fob with such a simple method. Thanks!

for everyone: the reason for failure of buttons in keyfobs is exactly pressing them excessively hard like in this video, that ain´t necessary, just a gentle push is all it takes, I can´t understand people pressing those like the harder the greater the strength of the signal, nothing farther from the truth. god bless you all.

On some impalas you have to program it threw your radio controls. Look up program FOB for. Chevy impalas.

Bro, Thank you so much! Note to others Once you are in program Mode that's when you program ALL key Fobs. Then complete the cycle. Bought a 05 Sierra that only came with one working Fob. I had 2 used key Fobs lying around from a previous Suburban and was able to program those as well. In all programmed 4 fobs to work on the same Vehicle. Again, thank you!!

What do you mean by program mode? How do you make sure both get programmed correctly ?
@@JesusChristisGodintheFlesh follow the sequence right up until you hold both buttons down on the fob , once the locks go up and down do not open the door until you do that same thing to all the fobs

Dang it! It stopped working. New battery. Still won’t program.

What key fob did you use that had a trunk button & still connected to a truck? & does the trunk button do anything or have any outputs anywhere in the trucks oem harness? I added an extra feature on my aftermarket alarms trunk release button but I prefer the oem key fobs looks but I’ve never seen one with a 4th button like yours that works for the trucks

My lady has a 2009 Saturn Aura, will this process work for her vehicle as well?
So I bought a new case fob for my camaro and swapped the circuit board to the new case and after I installed the new case on it it started to function wrong if I press the unlock button it locks the car or if I press buttons it won't work and it was working how it's suppose to work on my old case fob do I need to re program it or do I need a new circuit board? I don't see why it would not work properly just from swapping it to a new case lol

I’m just curious why my remote is connecting. I have an 01 Monte Carlo. Yet I did everything you did but still won’t connect. I’m not sure if it’s something to do that I removed my antenna

OK...I have a Cavalier with standard transmission. There's a little button on the steering column to help remove the key. The button gets stuck at times and I can't complete they cycle. Even if I can, the recycling process won't work. I've done the instructions on this video to the T, and it's not working.
I got these from Amazon a few years back, and the battery fit in them is awful, but since I'm unable to do the recycling, I'm SOL! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
