I just want to create this post in hopes it may help others, particularly females with androgenetic alopecia. I was diagnosed with it January of 2022, and purchased the "The Original LaserCap" at the higher end, with 224 laser diodes; the LaserCap HD. Mind you this cap cost me thousands. I used it religiously 3x a week at the same time at every session. I want to tell you that after a year of using it, I noticed NO change, and continue to have shedding. Therefore, no, it does not always work (even expensive ones) for females, or anyone in general, and purchasing this may or may not give you the results you hoped for. Thank you for listening!

Also there is a difference between Diodes & LED and a difference between pulsing and steady light. Also some have red lights mixed with blue lights. So just because someone says it didn't work doesn't really mean much because we have no idea the difference's of success between some and others. I for one don't use a single one of the items they discuss. I use an upright LED red light that designed for the entire body use. To stimulate mitochondrial cell production which is never going to happen using a lasercap.

I used iRestore for close to 8 months.
I saw no difference. The difference I noticed was that it made each of my hair to prevent from falling. I sometimes would scratch my scalp and will see a lot of hair falling off.
After the 8 months of wearing the helmet, I scratched my scalp and noticed no hair fell off my head.
It did not make my hair grow but made it more resilient. Of course I am also over 55 years old so that could also be a factor.

Best hair loss podcast on UA-cam. Thank you! You mentioned 30 min per session 3 times per week. The Rx version of the Capillus is timed at 3 min - which is said by the manufacturer to be sufficient. The model you showed on the pod cast looks the same as mine - therefore that system would have to be cycled 10x per treatment to reach 30 min. The battery is not designed for that amount of time nor do I think the manufacturer recommends it. Could you clarify ?

You need to understand that this won't help stop hair loss if you haven't stopped the main cause of hair loss. The 3 main reasons are Hormonal, Nutrition and Inflammation.
You're probably Hormonal like most people. You need to block DHT cause that's the root cause, using Low-Level Laser Therapy doesn't combat the root cause. So use finasteride or Natural DHT Blockers if you're worried about side effects. Use Minoxidl or use DHT Blocking and Hair Serums if you're worried about side effects once again

Healthy relationships and social life are essential for happiness, and resistance training a couple times a week is tremendous for bone density and general health. Easy peasy once you've done a little research on some of these subjects, I'd recommend some Andrew Huberman for happiness tools, Rhonda Patrick for nutrient info, mike Israetel or Jeff nippard for fitness related questions.

If you use a laser cap, will your hair block the lasers from reaching your scalp? I would expect it to be similar to getting a tan when you go outside on a sunny day. The sunlight would tan your face, but your scalp wouldn't tan because it's blocked by your hair. Do people with a shaved head or buzz cut experience better results from LLLT?

After used minoxidil after 4 months + laser cap, clearly saw a lot new hair, scalp wouldn’t be see through, barely lose hair by brush, even shower time ....

I highly recommend use minoxidil, which you can start seeing result in 2-4 month, but it require to put it on scalp everyday, and after use it, carefully wash fingers, I made mistake: used minoxidil , I simply washed finger and go straight to take my eye contact lenses out, after 2 months, when I was happy many new baby hair on my head, I also notice, there are many tiny hair come out around my eyes! 😱🤣

Fuzz around eye are not consequence of rubbing or touching your eyes right after. Fuzz is a "side effect" (it is actually what do primarily). It's actually how was discovered, but face hair doesn't naturally grow long as head/scalp hair. So, wether or not you touch any other part doesn't triggers that zone fuzz but the drug getting into your system itself. And to get it more entangled: Well! They say Minoxidil is proven to work in the top of the head and not sides but triggers fuzz all around the body. Then one end up going for laser removal or electrolysis and Minoxidil and LLLT...

I would buy this in an instant. But the only thing that’s making me sit on the fence with this is the need for ongoing use.
It’s said by users that it’s like Minoxidil, where if this improves your situation… once you stop, not only does the gains stop but it will decline, meaning you will lose all progress you’ve gained and back to how you started after stopping.
I guess that’s a bit like bodybuilding, you gain but then you lose the muscles and return to your original state when the weights stop.
Would’ve been nice if one can retain the hair gained if you stop treatment… but I guess that would be regarded as a “cure” .. which there isn’t a cure for hairloss at the moment :(

    Can cheaper hair cap systems
be worthwhile? I understand the increased number of laser diodes can have a greater more efficient effect. However, it appears the cap systems which possess an increased number of diodes simply recommend less frequent treatments, with less time for each treatment. Can a cap system with less diodes make up the difference through more frequent, and longer treatments as they often recommend? In other words, can cheaper systems be as effective for the more budget conscious, or is the effectiveness reduced to such a level that it would be wiser to invest in a more expensive system with more diodes?

Laser 272 PowerFlex Cap is $2712 for me.. That's an insane amount..
CapillusUltra Mobile Laser Therapy Cap is $1300, but Laser 272 has 3x the amount of medical-grade lasers I read.
But still, that's a heck of a lot of money.. On the other hand, if it works it's not that much money.. :D

Brilliant video, thank you. I am v reluctant to use Fin. Considering I have hair remaining on top, despite being thin, could laser in theory be as effective as Fin for preventing further loss. Just had hair transplant but is it naive to expect good results without Fin in mix. Thanks very much.

The only thing that I’ve seen peer review publication showing that actually works at thickening and regrowing hair is micro needling used with topical minoxidil. All of the other people involved in the study without adding the minoxidil showed no progress or response from the treatment. I just started using derma stampwith minoxidil. if I have a good response from it, I will certainly post it online for others here on UA-cam for others to see.✌️ by the way, I am in no way compensated for sharing my testimony on any of this.
