Last time I checked we had freedom of speech in America, you dont have to shut up, telling your story is therapy for you and saving other women from the same nighmare so keep telling it.
Well told, and yours is a very positive reaction to what you have endured! The abusers want to be protected from the consequences of their crimes. The enablers don't want to hear about the role of the enablers in violence, bullying, rascim, and in unfair systems in general. The one who points out a problem is very often considered the problem-creator. She or he rocks the boat, they say. She or he should be considering how the abuser feels, etc, they say. Blaming the victim is a widespread strategy - to keep what is going on, going on - and to keep those who profit from it, keep profiting from it. We who have seen those strategies and mechanism in one context, can easily see them in another, and we can give you credit for being very credible. I hope the time is come for a new round of "me, too!" for victims of abuse in a religious setting - and for the other contexts of abuse to be kept in the lime-light of justice and fairness. You are absolutely a forerunner, and a brave one. I can't listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir since heard/read about all the abuse and indecency going on behind the scenes in the Mormon world. Such falsehood! Thank you for your service, for bearing witness, surviving, and resisting! You need not feel pity, be silent, nor forgive the perpetrators - right-minded people feel empathy for you, the victims.
I really hate when I hear that I must "forgive" in order to move on. NO! Forgiveness is a privilege I will not grant males. To forgive is to grant permission for males to continue abusing me.
It's gonna be ok. I've been there too. My family was morman. I've been in a "polyamorous" lifestyle for years with men who claimed to be polyamorous and they lied. My family was morman. So it all comes back to religion... It always has been.... The elephant in the room is religion has turned human against human to secure it's position from micro level to macro level. May you heal from it all. 💙💙

@@pianorelaxingmusics "we have none of this gender shit I see online" The most authoritarian, patriarchal misogynistic men I have encountered were Christian of some sort.

I know right? So stupid! Pick me women who want to be moose lambs don't realize that the leopards WILL eat their face. All mono theistic religions are the same. They all are deeply misogynistic and primitive. It is time to evolve!
While I do acknowledge that Islam has many of the same or worse issues with treating women badly as Christianity, I still don't understand this accusation that people "want Sharia law everywhere." First of all, Sharia law is defined by individuals and communities at the local level. It differes by location and even by individual family, as all have their own interpretation of it. Much like Chrisitans interpret certain aspects of their religion differently, some Muslums interpret Sharia more loosely and some more strictly. There is no absolute Sharia law that is practiced the same everywhere. It is literally impossible to define what it means to "want Sharia law everywhere" on a global scale because it would not look the same everywhere. That doesn't mean I agree with Sharia law; just that I don't think it means what people think it means. Secondly, I think you raise a similar point to what Jennie raised in this video that some forms of abuse and corruption are acceptable to talk about and some aren't. Everyone is quick to call out something like Sharia law and point out its problems, but Chrisitian law in America seems to get a lot of free passes. Calling out Christian hypocrisy and Christian abuse in America tends to get one labeled as "un-American" or "too progressive." Fun fact: Christian dogma is not that different from Sharia law. It's still using religion to oppress people and justify it under the legal system; only for whatever reason, in America, it tends to get labeled as "Patriotism." Project 2025 is a perfect example of what I mean: A legal framework designed by Christians, to benefit Christians, and to force Christian ideals and values onto everyone.

the nightmare is normalizing terrible behaviors on the ground of religious beliefs. same as those back in the day, who worshipped the guy with the funny moustache.. they rationalize their hatred and normalize violence for "the greater good", and that's a very basic dynamics present in many opressive social systems historically and in the present, and it's very important that you speak out so other may recognize!

It's easier to blame women or men for domestic violence or religious trauma then look at the cause of the problem. People use cognitive distances, sorry for the misspell. When a narrative is challenged or what beliefs they hold to. Assholes don't change, they lack no insight
There are woke Misogynists, they just express their hatred for women in different wa,s. Do you think a man that Puts on a dress and demands access to the women's changing rooms does respect women?
keep telling your story, it's super interesting to hear it first hand. you probably have more supporters than haters away from the church :) the trad mormons don't seem so super nice tbh :D i'm from a lineage of lutheran pastors and was never ever indoctrinated, never feld another expectation than to become a respectable person. (not raised to be a woman or man) one thing that i learned is that those people who scream around the christian doctrine the loudest to rationalize their wrong behavior, they always claim to be the most christianist christians, ironically :D
to prevent this for happening is simple the church leaders need to follow what the bible said and teach men since they are children how to be a husband that he needs to be the preacher and the teacher in his household that he needs to race the kids for 8 hours since the child is born until the child is 25, he needs to do house shores and be emotional intelligence so he learns what God commanded to love his wife like Christ love the church and sacrifice his own ego, confort and live for his wife.
Unfortunately, a lot of therapists are not trauma informed when it comes to living in cults or being sentenced to live a certain lifestyle. They either say you are being a perpetual victim or they’re just ill equipped. It is best to fine, unfortunately they’re not very common a therapist who is informed about the inner workings of a cult or ritual type abuse..

However I was 4bu53d in several workplaces and when I needed help, because I could not understand why people did this to me sometimes I did not even understand what was happenening so I was confused. The reaction is it has to be your fault especially when it happened not only once but many times. It is a horrible situation to be in because you feel you need to talk to process but you know if people know this they will punish you further and making a living will be harder then it already is. Also I get a bit triggered when people say Narcissits are always the v1ct1m. Cats are awesome❤ never trust or date, a man that doesn't like the meow meow.
😂❤ i love this comment
Both partners should strive to create a space where each person's voice is valued, which can lead to more balanced and fulfilling interactions.
Lol yes 😂 we know. But the men seem to not understand the assignment.
I don't get the "forgiveness is mandatory to move on" BS.
That seems something the perpetrators and the enablers would demand.
I really hate when I hear that I must "forgive" in order to move on. NO! Forgiveness is a privilege I will not grant males. To forgive is to grant permission for males to continue abusing me.
You are so right, everything is so true. I am glad you are making this content because girls and women need to know the truth.
@@pigeoness22 thank you 😊
Scapegoating behavior. That's what happens to you if you speak up. When you expose the truth.
It's gonna be ok. I've been there too. My family was morman. I've been in a "polyamorous" lifestyle for years with men who claimed to be polyamorous and they lied. My family was morman. Please fight for yourself. You deserve it. You need it. Fight for you. Learn who you are because after years of brainwashing, maybe you don't know... I know I didn't. Please fight for yourself. I support you. We are the same.
agree with you so much. thanks for making your channel. you made such good points. have a nice day 😊
Thank you for speaking out!!
So it all comes back to religion... It always has been.... The elephant in the room is religion has turned human against human to secure it's position from micro level to macro level. May you heal from it all. 💙💙
@@rainyy9508 yes, it does all come back to religion. Thank you🥰
I’m not so sure that it’s as simple as that. Religion is the vehicle for a lot of bad behavior, for sure, but does patriarchy and abuse not exist in non religious societies?
@@loriar1027 we all have religious roots though.
Just subscribed! I really love your channel you are helping so many women ❤ Keep talking, I’m listening!!
Thanks for subbing!❤❤❤
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your story!!! You are brave!
Keep singing your beautiful song, women need to hear it
Thank you for your video. It’s helped me clarify what I need to do. I love my husband and he would never hold me back from doing this since we are both non religious and progressive, but I need to become financially independent. It’s too scary leaning primarily on him.
You are THAT girl! Love you, your strength and honest. And you look beautiful ❤
Your story may prevent others from enduring what you endured. And even if it didn’t, it’s your story to tell! Ann Lamott says, “You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.”
Solidarity. Very similar story. ❤
IN THIS HOUSE WE STAN JENNY ❤❤❤❤
Ha thank you!!❤

As a Christian all I can say is that Secular men ARE SO MUCH BETTER than " religious" males.
Women are figuring this out. And it's pretty sad to be honest.
The most controlling men are the ones left, and it makes it really hard to date a church boy.
You're not a Christian then, and it depends on the denomination. I'm an orthodox Christian and we have none of this gender shit I see online. Dont' confuse Mormons and Muslims with others
@@pianorelaxingmusics "we have none of this gender shit I see online" The most authoritarian, patriarchal misogynistic men I have encountered were Christian of some sort.
@ this comment is very unkind.
@@pianorelaxingmusics you're not a christian unless you believe in christian supremacy? I'm sure your church is teaching you great things...
Looking at Afghanistan and Religion of Peace followers who demand "Sharia for Britain!" And "Sharia for Germany!" ...
These people bring their culture to developed countries by the millions.
And their Attitude towards women
It's still using religion to oppress people and justify it under the legal system; only for whatever reason, in America, it tends to get labeled as "Patriotism." Project 2025 is a perfect example of what I mean: A legal framework designed by Christians, to benefit Christians, and to force Christian ideals and values onto everyone.
thank you ♡

Thank you for sharing👍 Your Ex did you wrong and I learned from your story..💞 Told my daughter to finantially protect herself from any unexpected discard..Love and prayers to you and yours..🥀🌻🙏🙏 I was once a pawn in a game but no more..
Your story is inspiring.. BTW you are so pretty!
Thank you and I’m glad you had a happier future🥰
Those people leaving mean comments are abusers. They abuse you with those comments.
Great content and you look stunning ❤
the nightmare is normalizing terrible behaviors on the ground of religious beliefs. same as those back in the day, who worshipped the guy with the funny moustache.. they rationalize their hatred and normalize violence for "the greater good", and that's a very basic dynamics present in many opressive social systems historically and in the present, and it's very important that you speak out so other may recognize!
Rare recommend. Guess the algorithm read my holding the World Church (All of them) guilty if being the Whore of Babylon ....i hear your story and all i hear is evidence to back up my resolve. Sorry you ended a victim. Tell your story and tell it LOUD! For all my scorn against the "church" i still believe in God and i trust God will restore you for being a LOUD VOICE. take courage. ✌️😔
It's easier to blame women or men for domestic violence or religious trauma then look at the cause of the problem. People use cognitive distances, sorry for the misspell. When a narrative is challenged or what beliefs they hold to. Assholes don't change, they lack no insight
Unfortunately many men are emotionally stunted. Especially religious ones.
So true!
There are woke Misogynists, they just express their hatred for women in different wa,s.
Do you think a man that Puts on a dress and demands access to the women's changing rooms does respect women?
Victim blaming women will never solve DV. The only way to stop it is to address the root cause, which is immature male egos.
@ very true!
Self reflection you don't want. I know that all too well. 😮💨
keep telling your story, it's super interesting to hear it first hand. you probably have more supporters than haters away from the church :) the trad mormons don't seem so super nice tbh :D i'm from a lineage of lutheran pastors and was never ever indoctrinated, never feld another expectation than to become a respectable person. (not raised to be a woman or man)
one thing that i learned is that those people who scream around the christian doctrine the loudest to rationalize their wrong behavior, they always claim to be the most christianist christians, ironically :D
Good for you! Use your voice!
to prevent this for happening is simple the church leaders need to follow what the bible said and teach men since they are children how to be a husband that he needs to be the preacher and the teacher in his household that he needs to race the kids for 8 hours since the child is born until the child is 25, he needs to do house shores and be emotional intelligence so he learns what God commanded to love his wife like Christ love the church and sacrifice his own ego, confort and live for his wife.
@@tamid2225 yes! My last therapist was poorly trained to work with LDS survivors.
You can't talk about workrelated trauma, I would say it even worse, I'm ex Jehovas wittness. Well I guess some of them can make themselves to be a v1ct1m however you can actually be a v1ct1m many times without having a personality disorder. We have a lot of v1ct1mblam1ng in this society.
Who cares.
They are the ones that MADE THE PROBLEMS. solving them requires not an expert but soemthing short of a God 🙄
I’m seeing and hearing you for the first time. I’m always happy for anyone escaping any kind of brainwashing and control. However I’m surprised you appear to continue to present yourself in that style. I’m not judging you and maybe I’m wrong. I’m always eager to see the real person, the real natural beauty.
