- This might be the closest place you can fish a bow if you live around New York City. North Hudson County Park is one of my top favorite place to go fishing. You can pretty much find every kind of freshwater game fish here, you name it. On top of that, you can actually keep your catch, which is restrictedly prohibited in New York city parks! If you live nearby, and want to go for a quick fish fix before or after work, this is the perfect place to be!

Great video! I fish that same spot when I go there! And Don’t feel bad about keeping that trout. Of the 300 they stock, very few will survive much longer. And probably zero holdovers till Spring

@@gofishingwithmeofficial No problem! But I completely understand the mixed feelings as well. Also, fisherman who did a cameo in the video posts big trout in the winter and bass in the summer almost daily from that lake. He really has it mastered!

Thanks very much! regional regulations applies. Most of time I fish in NY, here you can fish all year round, but cant keep in the winter.

Are the waters clean enough to be able to eat the trout you catch? Love all your videos and wish we could go fishing together. The GPS coordinates are very helpful! Would you recommend any baits for saltwater fishing, or reservoir fishing (kensico, titicus, croton, amawalk). Would recommend you to try Amawalk Reservoir for rainbows.
I personally don't take home, but I know you can eat your catch from this pond. Not much about saltwater fishing here in New York, most of the time I use shrimp, worked well for me, and swim bait is my go-to for striper. Fishing in the reservoir is more about picking the right spot than the choice of bait, because it could be difficult to find fish from bank area. Bait is just the same fishing in any fresh water, whatever fish eats in pond, they eat the same thing in reservoir, this really boils down to the targeted fish you want. If you dont know, swimbait and spinner are two universal lure to start with.

Yes and yes, Apirl to May is the best time you can catch big bass, and this park is a great place to start, good community and easy access, best of luck!

鲫鱼我也不确定，鲤鱼大部分地方都有，但是污染物多，不建议留
