I started watching your vids when I first got the call that I got hired and looked up what to expect and found you been watching you ever since...its only been 4 months but so far so good already seen some crazy shit but that was expected. Keep it up bro
@@felixfrias1446 yeah it really isn't that bad at all. I dont know if it happens everywhere but we work alot shift is 12hrs and we get held to do 16hrs frequently so the money really is good like how he says. But I can also see how it's not for everybody
@@felixfrias1446if you are a people person bring yo ass on! Tbh you babysit grown men or women everyday, just remember they are human too!! Whatever you do treat inmates with care and they will let you do your job. They don’t like “big bad wolves” and they don’t like “Robo Cops” yes you are authority they already understand that part so just be yourself without being a victim. Don’t be afraid to say NOOOOO! Lol if it’s not department issued don’t get it for them. I’m freaking loving it so far everyday is different!! And you get paiddddd
Yes Bro ! Correctional officers in South Carolina are considered law enforcement. Here in GA where I am they are the largest law enforcement agency in the state . I start my career next week in Corrections myself . Learned alot from your videos bro . Appreciate you 💪💪💪
Corrections is def not for everyone. You working in a criminals house. A lot Co's become ducts. Let's ppl know what a duct is. I worked patrol I rather be on the streets vs in a building for 8hrs, not to mention the mandatory overtime.
@TheGhettoBodybuilder I can see why, I can see why you say that family. Patrol is different every single day. Both have ita dangerous parts. I beleive corrections should be mandatory for a few yr before you can apply for police. In them 4 walls ain't no guns when you have on that badge. It's all bout respect and verbal judo. If you can talk to inmates and gain and keep that respect and de-escalate situations, you are better equipped for the streets.
Another great video bro , thank you for these. Quick question, what’s the difference between working at the country jail to where you’re at now? I’m not sure to join the CDCR or go the Custody assistant route for the LASD?
People might say don’t recommend people but if no one was to work the prison system we would have complete chaos in the community dealing with rapist pedo’s murders etc people have to think yes it might not be for everyone but how do you know unless you try some people just going by here say
Hi i applied do they really check if you have social media I deleted my accounts but not Snapchat. The application was asking for social media user name I have active.l have Snapchat would they find out some how? Should I delete it? Would they know?
So I’m a veteran who isn’t young anymore at 41 I’m in decent shape but I’m skinny and where I live in upstate ny there isn’t any good jobs that pay. I’ve been debating corrections. Am I to old can I handle it mentally. Any advice helps and yes I heavily support law enforcement but I’m over the age for all the state police and border customs jobs.
