    Watched this video while eating Dinnerly! Today was steak with honey/mustard sauce and glazed carrots and green beans. Yum! Had their oven fried ravioli yesterday...so good! Try it, it's good! Oh, and use the app-much easier :)

    Got this for my friend and we both thought it was odd to not put cards.

      great way to cut costs, and if you would really like to have physical recipe cards you can always print it out

    Would this be more cost effective than driving for an hour to Walmart and buying groceries? My hubby and I are expecting our 1st baby and I’ll be a stay at home mom so I don’t know if it’s better to get a meal delivery or haul the baby all the way to town to get groceries.

    • @FoodBoxHQ
      @FoodBoxHQ  3 роки тому +1

      I definitely think so, especially if you’re driving an hour. Dinnerly and EveryPlate are 2 great inexpensive meal kit options (around $5 per meal).

      Speaking as a first time mom with just 1 little girl who isn't even 18 months yet, I would have killed for this when I was fresh out of labor. We had a few friends bring us dinners, but after that baby blues really set in and I had no desire to meal plan or go grocery shopping. I would have loved something like this when she was still a newborn because not only do they send you the ingredients, but on the app you can look at every single recipe they've ever sent in their boxes and grocery shop from that and remake stuff after buying the groceries again yourself. But nutrition and portion control are really well balanced and so delicious!! I definitely recommend, especially because this meal subscription is HALF the cost of almost every other hoity toity meal service out there. No unnecessary bells and whistles, it doesn't severely overpackage EVERYTHING and just in my first box alone, quality of ingredients was fantastic

      @whatsthesong4295 3 роки тому +2

      I would like to emphasize the nutrition and portion balance because when you have a new baby, sometimes we tend to stop caring about how we care for ourselves in lieu of making sure our child's every care is tended to. A mother's nutrition and care is so important particularly if you plan to breastfeed. I wish for safe delivery and a beautiful baby for you and your husband, and for a healthy life for all of you

    do you prefer dinnerly or every plate?

    • @tenossos
      @tenossos 3 роки тому +1

      They're very similar, but Every Plate includes meal cards with the delivery. With Dinnerly, you have to print them out yourself, or read them online

    • @whatsthesong4295
      @whatsthesong4295 3 роки тому +2

      I personally prefer dinnerly because it is almost half the cost of every plate and almost every other meal subscription

      Thanks guys for the feedback. I actually tried both and much prefer Dinnerly because of more variety especially when it comes to meats.

    Couldn't one simply download recipes and call Kroger or Walmart?

    • @tamcar04
      @tamcar04 3 роки тому

      Yeah but.this is easier

    • @whatsthesong4295
      @whatsthesong4295 3 роки тому

      you absolutely can, but some people are very busy and would rather just do one stop and deliver. If you do it through a grocery store, you have to go through and select every ingredient you need and then maybe pick it up if you don't pay to have it delivered. With dinnerly and every other meal subscription, you pick your meals and then just wait for it to come to you

    Doesn't seem very convenient as far as having your recipe right there. Also, the way they package things. How are you supposed to know what goes with what with the way everything is just put in the box?

    • @crystallake3924
      @crystallake3924 3 роки тому +5

      Each recipe has a "what we send you" portion that tells you what they sent for that recipe. Pretty easy to sort.

    • @tamcar04
      @tamcar04 3 роки тому +7

      🤣🤣🤣 the site tells you what you are getting for every recipe. Common sense works too

      For this price I'm not gonna get too picky lol

    • @whatsthesong4295
      @whatsthesong4295 3 роки тому +2

      the way they cut cost on packaging and printing for recipe cards makes it so that they can be almost half the price of every other service out there. If the digital recipe truly bothers someone that much, the recipe is always available to print out

    So much plastic packaging in that box!!! Most of the time those plastic baggies are not even recyclable. 😟

    • @whatsthesong4295
      @whatsthesong4295 3 роки тому +3

      They actually state on their website that all of their plastic packaging is either #1 or #4 plastic recyclable. Even the soft lining in the box is recyclable

      Not a million ingredients, but the taste is actually phenomenal in my opinion. I just had the seared steak and spinach salad tonight and the steak seasoning was fantastic! The dressing for the salad was simple but delicious and the whole thing was very filling

      I have seen a few different videos on this service, and every box looks different as far as packaging goes. They might have different packaging facilities that do their packaging differently. I didn't have any lone veggies packaged in plastic in my box. On top of this, the dinnerly website states that all of their packaging is either #1 or #4 recyclable plastic, including the soft lining on the inside of the box. the ice packs too are recyclable

    Do not use dinnerly! They use trash shipping companies that don't delivery your boxes and when you talk with both dinnerly and the shipping company they tell you there's nothing they can do
