Hey Food Box HQ Family! Today we're unboxing our brand new Tovala Air Fryer to share our experience using it and compare it to our Smart Oven Pro (previously "Gen 2").
Tovala has introduced a new smart oven air fryer that promises simpler and smarter air frying, among other features. The Smart Oven Air Fryer includes five cooking modes (air fry, bake, broil, toast, and reheat), a powerful convection fan for a crispiness guarantee, and scan-to-cook functionality.
The scan-to-cook functionality is my personal favorite aspect of Tovala because it allows you to just scan a meal, throw all the food on their tray, and let it cook. Their app will even notify you when it's done cooking.

Next, you can buy normal frozen meals from your local grocery store and use Tovala's scan-to-cook function to cook it without having to even look at the cooking instructions on the box. This is pretty incredible!
Last, you can make your own recipes. Tovala has hundreds of recipes on their app but you can also create custom recipes for meals you cook often. This is what we often do and what you'll see us do in the video.

I had the old oven years and years ago I love it but the meals are some what high but I thought I try it again and got the one with Airfryer and the meals you need to buy I guess if the meals were a little cheaper I could do it all the time by the way the dinners are so so good my husband loves then

One has a steam feature. Just got this didn’t get the steam one (pro) kinda wish I had.

If you air fry (or want to air fry), definitely go with this one. The pro version isn't as good at air frying. If you primarily want to use it as an oven, I really like the steam functionality of the pro (great for reheating too). To save money, I highly suggest taking advantage of their promo where you get a discount for also subscribing to their meal delivery service for a certain amount of time. You can cancel after. The meals are actually very good too, just can get a little expensive.
