ADM has strong fundamentals and is positioned well in the food sector, which tends to be resilient during economic uncertainty. However, the S&P 500 offers diversification across industries, making it a safer long-term bet. I lean toward a mix of both-a defensive play with ADM and broad exposure with the S&P. What’s your take on balancing sector-specific vs. diversified investments?
If you're not familiar with market investing tactics, you should get advice from a financial counselor.
Absolutely, having a solid plan is crucial. My portfolio has doubled since early last year. My financial advisor and I are working towards a seven-figure goal, though it might take until Q3 2024.
I could really use the expertise of an advisor like that.
Her name is “KENIA GIORDANI BORGES”. You can research her name to find the necessary details and set up an appointment.
Thanks for sharing. I searched for her name and found her website. I reviewed her credentials and did my research before contacting her. Thanks again.
Hi Sven, and thanks for taking note of my comment.
You bet!
Very good analysis, thank you. Right now we are in a FOMO tech bubble and it looks like people are selling companies like ADM to buy tech stocks hoping the rally will continue. This can continue for a while and it presents a good opportunity to buy some of the unloved business at a discount.
Dear Sven, I am not sure how you can bypass the whole accounting scandal related to the company and put this into a low risk category. It is among the top 5 things that a simple search shows about the company. Perhaps that is in your detailed review, I haven't watched that yet. Anyhow, right now it is very far from a regular cyclical play.
Sven only looks at P/E
It’s not a scam! It was the internal accounting that is only for one business unit which is not more than 10% of the overall revenue.. also you need to know that this was identified during internal audit and not by any third party.
I think that is Sven’s point, that news is already priced in by the market and now is the time to buy
@@yohjijames1413 But how can this be a lower risk cyclical when the management regularly screws up like this compared to Mayer Melnhof which is in the super boring paper business?
Based on your metrics, I'm surprised you are not into energy more.
How about comparing ADM to Ingredion Incorporated (INGR)?
Does consideration of their accounting scandal change the perspective?
Own it. Can you take a look at General Mills?
I think you have to consider the potential to reinvest capital at which return back into the business too. A bond with yields 10% is fine, but a bond which yields 10% and the opportunity to reinvest the interest in further bonds each year at 10% interest is an even better and more valuable option.
Thank you Sven!
I like your rational approach on this case. Your explanations are clear and easy to understand.
This makes me take a step back and think more and differently! Your slightly sarcastic sense of humor always makes me laugh!
(especially your video on Brookfield 😂!)
Hey could you so the Alberta oil company, sun cor?
Would be great to see them in a FastGraphs :P
Hey Sven do you have an opinion on CE ?
Hi Sven, have you looked into Adecagro S.A. (AGRO). I am curious how you would rate them vs ADM, NTR, or MOS.
Hi Sven, Could you do a analysis on the US Small-cap 600 ETF? Thank you!
Value retail seems very beaten down currently. B&M European Value Retail (BME.L) seems to be great value at the moment. Would be great if you could do a video analysing this business and stock. Thanks for all your videos 🙏
Is it any different to get valuations for companies that are in the finance sector say CINF?
How about Wilmar International. They are even cheaper than ADM. higher dividend and more exposure to China, India which is a much bigger consumer of their products.
Hey Sven please also scroll to the right so we can see BN ;)
:-)))
🗽 ADM has now a good technical support at ~$50.... it looks like building a bottom and it also is cheap.
I bought some 2021 at $60, when eur/usd was at 1.17. Today in EUR ADM is not cheaper!
.
Passive index investing beats all of your garbage stock picks. How is BABA doing by the way?
The food industry is going through it's most major change: no more fertilizers and insecticides in fields as more and more is grown in closed warehouses on conveyor belts and robots tending to the crops. Even meat is grown in a lab. Be very aware of an OLD company trying to compete in a rapidly changing industry.
You made me curious about this company. I looked up what they actually make/sell. I'm not sure which company kills more people...Archer Daniels or Raytheon. This company does not make food. It makes products that people eat and subsequently become fat and unhealthy. Even if one does not care about any of that, RFK is going to go hard to MAHA and if successful will disrupt this company. Just giving an opposing view.
It is even worse than that. Their nutrition business made money only on paper, and they are investigated over accounting issues. Basically we have a commodity trading company which tried to diversify and failed. It can still be a cyclical play, but I am not sure if we have seen the worst of the stock yet.
I would consider investing in companies like this that sell poison highly risky at this point. The avg American is finally waking up to the fact that our food supply has been more and more poisoned for 100 years
What it is about their food that causes them to be unhealthy?
I wrote the same and then saw your comment. Nice to see investors caring for each other. Thank you
Seed oil controversy is b.s. and not supported by evidence. Social media is just filled with people who make a living trying to scare us. Do your own research.
I'm thinking to put some cash in stocks, I was at Salt Shack and i overheard some friends saying it’s ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy st0cks? I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?
Off course, but Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $295k to $850k.
Impressive gains! how can I get your advisor please, if you dont mind me asking? I could really use this heads up as of now
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with JULIANNE IWERSON NIEMANN for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
✨🕊️Merry Christmas to you all. I am so happy and favored. My life has changed. I just bought my dream car yesterday. Still have my incoming weekly income of $24,000. Now I can help people around me and also supports God work at my church. 🙏🇺🇸
Hallelujah!!! What is it you do? mind sharing with your Christian brothers and sisters?
How do you make such income? I'm a born-again Christian and sometimes I feel so down because of my low finances. 🤦Despite this, I still believe in God.
Thanks to Mrs Christina Ann Tucker.
I raised 75k and Christina Ann Tucker is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Christina A. Tucker is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note!:: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!
Wow 😱I know her too Miss Christina Ann Tucker is a remarkable individual whom has brought immense positivity and inspiration into my life.
Ask yourself. Are prices of food higher than five years ago? Ten years ago? Fifty years ago? Do you think prices of food will continue to grow, especially in money printer environment? I do. But food in not AI powered. I get it. Boring.
If the money printers continue the rest of the s&p will continue to rise faster than food as it has anyways
A company with poor return on: capital, equity, tangible asset, etc. got no chance against S&P 500 on a long term.
If you look at S&P 500 valuations over the past 30 years, the valuations are well above average, approaching peak valuations from the past. Based on previous market behavior, at some point that's going to correct, either by the S&P 500 going sideways for years or dropping. So the risk to reward for the S&P 500 is very high. For instance after the 1999 peak the S&P 500 sold off and didnt reach those levels until 2008. Then sold off again and finally broke through in 2012. Essentially 13 years of negative returns.
Whereas stocks like ADM (low beta, low historic valuation, high dividend yield) that are linked to critical products have a good risk to reward ratio.
@ I’m fully with you till risk to reward ratio.
@@baarbacoa There is a third possibility besides the sideways or downward phase of the prices. Earnings can increase and so valuations grow in and still decrease. That doesn't mean I believe in it, but if we don't see a recession and the Goldilocks scenario occurs, then it's a valid third option.
New Trump administration wants to ban seed oil, which can be a huge problem for ADM. Coupled with accounting mistakes and filing problems which i don't know if they solve it, ADM stock is at a huge risk. I would stay away until all this gets resolved
Seed oil controversy seems to be total b.s. Unless maybe you drink it like water.
Thinking of swapping my USDT for XAI213K$. I believe XAI213K$ is the future
Another garbage company.
I see XAI213K$ everywhere. Could someone help explain what XAI213K$ is?
Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.
Government policy has thrown the future under the bus for decades. The day of judgment is near. I predict an 80% drop in the stock market. Investors will abandon stocks in favor of real estate. There will be no money in banks... You must devise a strategy for survival.
We have been in a depression since 2008, the yield curve has already uninverted, global recession indicators are flashing alarm for well over a year, and absolutely nobody could pull us out of the hell coming regardless of party.
I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!
ASHLEY GARNER ABBOTT a renowned figure in her line of work, i recommend researching her credentials further.... she has many years of experience and a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market
I looked for the name online and found her page.I will get in touch with her,Thanks for the help I emailed and made inquiries. Thanks for the help
ADM is a favorite. Everyone needs to eat.
Also consider Advanced Oxygen Technologies, Inc. as everyone needs to breathe
I guess I am ultra risk lover. Even though I don't hold meme coins, I only hold XAI213K$ and ETH . Fingers crossed 🤞 🤞
When $XAI213K finally kicks in, FOMO is going to be a leader in adoption this bullrun.
OMG crypto whales are buying XAI213K$ 😮
Ive stared buying $XAI213K ,and staked them.
Forget Shiba and Dogecoin. The next Bull runner gonna be XAI213K$
XAI213K$ will be the first crypto to 20x under a week
What is your $XAI213K exit strategy
