but like...can you explain what the difference is? Olaplex, redken, joico etc all have high levels of dimethicone in their products. What's the difference between how theyre used by cheap vs professional brands?
@@fatine thanks! yeah the difference between mcdonalds fats and salmon can be explained because they are different fats, not because of where you bought it from...
@@ambrosia1917 I don’t think it’s necessarily about silicones in high end vs drugstore but about the entire formulation and quality of ingredients that give different results especially overtime. Also some silicones are water soluble others aren’t.
But for example cheap shampoo and a conditioner use dimethicone which makes it seem like q cheap silicone but I have seen that ingredient on expensive salon products even davines or Moroccanoil but I will have to admit that davines and Moroccanoil leave my hair beautiful
Silicones aren’t bad for your hair it doesn’t matter how expansive the brand is. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s just spewing nonsense to sell expensive products
Now that the short comment caught your attention, no silicones, be it linear or cyclical, are biodegradable. This means that when we wash it out of our hair, it ends up down the drain and into bodies of water. They accumulate in fish and other marine life and we still do not know the full scope of how bad it is.
What about if your hair is wavy curly or coily? Don't sulfates strip the moisture out and silicones seal up the hair cuticle so leave in conditioners and other products can't get in there?
What’s your thoughts on the brand Nexxus? I have fine hair and I use the nourishing detox clean and pure one. Would you consider the brand a, “drug store” brand?
Now if these good brands could stop being so expensive so us money deprived individuals can actually afford them, that would be great.
He’s lying to sell more expensive product. Research shoes that silicones are not bad for your hair in affordable or expensive brands.
What is the difference between the good and bad silicones?
Doesn't make any sense. Silicones are silicones, they are either good or bad, no matter the price tag.

Facts!!!

Can we get a Chemist to explain this?? I’ve wondered that too!
have silicone buildup on hair for a year now. If I use a clarifying shampoo now, will it remove my old silicone buildup from hair?? Please answer 😭

Exactly my argument. Dimethicone is everywhere so why pay more. I personally don't use anything with silicones but if you do then why pay more?
I absolutely love your videos!
I’ve been doing hair care for a long time and I’ve found silicones protect my hair
But what if the expensive brands use the same silicones. What are the good silicones

All silicones, cheap and pricy, ends up in the oceans where it ultimately destroys marine life. I''ll stick to my silicone-free shampoos🤷🏼♀️

thank you.
Yesss.
I'm not in a mind changing mood
I feel that down to my soul
Dimethicone is cheap and it's used in high end hair care in actual fact it's usually in top 5 ingredients.
What about if your hair is wavy curly or coily? Don't sulfates strip the moisture out and silicones seal up the hair cuticle so leave in conditioners and other products can't get in there?
My curly hair always looks bomb after I use silicones.
This is helpful, I've just started using kerastase extentioniste shampoo which contains Amodimethicone and I wasn't sure if it was OK!
What is the best dry shampoo for fine hair if you don't have access to pulp riot?
My mom Got me a great hair mask from a hairdresser and it contains silicone but it gives wonderfull results!
Hi! What is a professional shampoo and how can I recognize it? Any label can have professional written on it so what's a quality distinguisher?
I got the recommendation list as I subscribed to you on Instagram. Checking it out!! ✔️ ✅️ ✔️ Thanks a lot!!
But the number one ingredient in Olaplex no 7 is Dimethicone.. same as the cheap stuff.. help! 😬

Is matrix biolage considered a good brand?
Frederick Benjamin is one brand
I love the information but your immidation of a woman is so cringeworthy.
Yeah so unfortunately a lot of us can't afford the expensive shit so maybe you should try making products cheaper for us to consume?
