I just bought the product recommended in this list for fun cus it’s my birthday and I got money as a gift. 😂 I decided to buy them with very low expectations. Turns out it was the best decision I made this year. Damn!!! I never know my hair can be this soft and I don’t have to wash my hair everyday anymore. Love it❤❤❤

comment for the algorithm! My mom always told me "oh, you have such fine hair". My hair is not very thick, but it turns out I have medium hair. It holds volume, it's easy to style, etc. Mom's hair, on the other hand, is like spider silk. Doesn't hold teasing, doesn't hold volume, ponytails and pins slid right out. Thanks to Chris for clarifying the difference.

White sugar vs cane sugar.. both sugar right ? But one has been completely stripped of its nutrition and anything good from it. Ever used no name ointment for cuts vs polysporin ?! One doesn't work... lol Quality makes a difference.

I went to Hell’s Kitchen and I order the Wellington meat, unfortunately I got food poisoning, it ruined my vacations, my point on saying this is… it doesn’t matter if it’s cheap or expensive, make sure it’s working for you, expensive it’s not always better

Exactly. The demonizing of cheaper products is unfair. There are great products in all price classes

I'm about to checkout with my items for my hair today (thanks to you). However, I would love for you to review the Coco and Eve products. I've been using their conditioner for a while, and I'd like to know what your input is on them!

I understand the 3 day wash rule, but I do water aerobics in chlorinated pool 3 times a week and work out the other two. My layered hair is shoulder length. How can I not wash my hair more than every 3 days? I'm sure others have the same issue. Thank you

It's definitely less damaging to wash your hair more often, than to have chlorine leftover in it 🤷🏼‍♀️

As of today, I started my Redken acidic bond treatment 😊I cant wait to keep at it. I used olaplex but stopped because it took me forever to do it. I have thick hair and had it bleached. But it was too much of a chore. I just went to get my haircut last year to get rid of the blond. I was done with that. So started watching ur vids dude. Super helpful as hell. I want to grow my hair again.

Would it be possible to know what heat setting on the hair dryer should be used based on the hair type/texture? That's the only info I'm really missing.

Hi Chris! I just found you, and I'm so glad I did. I am loving your videos.
Could I make a request for a video for wavy and curly hair? What are the best products to use, how to achieve frizz free hair, how to dry it for the most volume? I would be so grateful. Sarah

I just wanted to say I'm so sooo glad I discovered your channel. Using your tips and tricks, without changing any of my existing products (except for the way I use them), I was able to go 5 days in between washes with workout days in between (which would be shocking to me a month ago)! I have started trying some of your recommended products and up my hair game without it being a time and money sink. Love your videos and thank you so much!

Hello Chris, I recently discovered your wonderful channel and I love it! I have coarse, curly, long dark hair, just like your co-founder. I know you are the blow out professor, but could you please show us in a video how you would style and take care of natural curly hair. I never blow out my curls because I love them. How can I define and maintain my curls Best? It would be so so great, if you could make a video. I wash my hair now only with products from your recommended list and my hair feels much better. Thank you and greatings from germany. Sam ☀️

as someone who can't use most salon products because of essential oils or fragrances I usually just find some drugstore fragrance free shampoo and use face cream and facial oil for hair condition. Better that than having my skin itch like crazy.
I find this channel really interesting but I can't use any of the products shown/recommended here=/

Hair texture patterns definitely influence type as well because the diameter of the curl bends and the amount of repeating rotations determine how far down the strand the oil goes. In types 3 and 4 it doesn't get very far whether your hair is thin, medium, or thick. I have medium 3B hair and if I went 5 days without washing the oil still wouldn't get father than an inch from my scalp. I never even need to use dry shampoo to control the oil, though I opt for it as a texturizing styler. In a 1B or 2B type it would move farther down and faster. Meanwhile how much do we love these static Chris characters now in the videos with all the expressions and different wigs LOL

I agree with you about heat styling, although I was definitely doing damage the way I was using heat😂😂 so I’ve stopped for about 5 years and only curled like 3-4 times and that definitely helped since I was doing it so badly in combination with other things, *cough* sun in *cough* at home bleach and box dye *cough cough* diy hair masks from food.

I can make any product work if need be. Sometimes you can have the best products but the stylist may be incompetent. So having the 'best' products means nothing at least for me since these companies are constantly changing the formulas. Just my take on this subject. ✂️✂️✂️

I think the secret is that when someone else blows out your hair it comes out great but we can't put our head on a table and do it. If I could do that, I'd be a pro.....I'm a Wen girl and it's down to my butt and shiny and all that but greasy as hell. I have oily skin all over so my scalp is too. I cleanse every couple of days, have NO split ends but some breakage. I was using a powerful dryer on high heat. I don't do that anymore. ouch...LOL! Your video is quite unorthodox compared to others.

Hi Chris! I only discovered your channel a couple weeks ago and already watched numerous videos and learned a lot. Thanks for all the good info, but I really wish I had discovered you last month, before I went and chemically straightens my hair. I naturally have (or had until last month) a high volume course, wavy hair. I had gorgeous shiny, healthy hair that was everyone’s envy until I was thirty, and then for whatever reason (probably dying my roots at home using drugstore products and also aging) my hair texture slowly changed. It became frizzy, ugly and unmanageable. Before that, after a blowdry, my hair would stay amazing until I washed it, but it came a point where even a salon blowdry, would only look good for 2 days. I couldn’t handle the frizz and untamable mass, so I had my hair straightened with Matrix Optismooth, a procedure that took 5 hrs and I probably lost 5 yrs of my life due to heaviness of the nasty chemicals I breathed through the process. Now for the first time, I have straight hair, but it’s not frizz free! It lost all its body and volume, and feels dead and dry to me, but that’s not the worse part. The worse part is that I experienced a massive hair loss. I know part of volume loss is due to straightening the waves, but I’ve been losing hair in the shower by the handful since I did this treatment. It’s unreal! If I knew your channel last month, I’d manage my hair differently, but now that ship has sailed. So, questions for you are:
What do you think about keratin straightening in general?
Do I need to care for my hair differently now?
Will I ever get my hair volume and body back when it grows out?
Should I just cut all the dry and dead length and start taking care of my roots the right way?
Thanks a lot for helping ❤
