I seen in one of his videos because I needed the same thing. What I remember from it was to put hair into a twisted bun on top of the head with a silk scrunchy, and a silk sleep bonnet over all of the hair:) I bought the bonnet right after hearing what he said but try to get one that will not slip off. Hi everyone, so I’ve been binge watching his vids since last weekend. I purchased the redken shampoo for volume for fine hair , the Moroccan hair mask, the olaplex 3 and 7, the purology leave in and the living proof dry shampoo. These products work and did not weight my hair down. I’ve was able to not wash it for 5 days. Applied oil to my ends almost every night. My hair feels amazing.
I was previously using the ordinary shampoo and conditioner but my hair was so dry that it was also curling which I did not understand because I have straight hair.
I’m practicing how to use a blow dryer but like Chris said that will take some time.
I am glad I found him here in YT and the products he recommends are a game changer.

I don't do blowouts and I don't like using products, but two (and a half?) of your suggestions have totally improved my hair:
1: Shampooing twice. Not only does it extend my time between washes, but it gives my hair more volume.
2:Wet brand brush. I've seen these before, I had friends that had them. And they'd start from the top and pull the brush through where it makes that godawful sound that only Wet brushes make. So I swore them off, and used combs and started from the bottom instead. Except...
2b: Brushing product through my hair. I would avoid brushing my hair when I put product in, choosing to finger comb it instead. But now that I have the Wet brush, I spray my leave in conditioner (mids and ends), and then brush it, and it's made a world of difference. Not only does my hair feel softer and healthier, but it's got better movement and volume now too. Same product as I've been using, the only difference is brushing it through.
So even though I don't blow dry my hair, I still watch every one of your videos. Partly for the tips, partly for the wigs and expressions, lol

Ion blow dryer is legit. I had an old T3 for over a decade and when Dyson hit the market I bought into the hype. After 2-3 months of Dyson my hair was a frizzy, dried mess; never in my life was that an issue for my 1 A/B hair. Went back to my old T3 and within a few weeks my hair smoothed out.

Agree, when I use the Dyson Airwrap (vs regular dryer) or even the Shark Flexstyle my hair is frizzy. I had an old T3 featherweight and when it died I replaced it with the Elchim Healthy Ionic and it was far better and faster than the T3. But it's super heavy. It's faster than the Dyson Airwrap (in dryer mode), but much slower than the Shark Flexstyle (in dryer mode) (but it has no Ionic feature).

For someone trying to grow their hair back after cutting it, it made me just want to keep trimming it thinking my hair wasn’t supposed to get longer or something. Hi there Chris- started following you a few months back and am loving your videos!
Some of the products I purchased from your recommendation are a real game changer however still struggling with a few things... 1-freeze 2-sweat from working out/walking. I've watched the video about keeping heat-less for at least 3 days but I don't seem to be able to do it if I do my hair as you instruct, blow dry it and use the flat iron after washing. I do work out 6 days a week and cardio only 2 but even when I only lift weights and walk I still get the sweat ruining all my hair hard work haha - If its all natural freezie then I don't mind if if gets messed up around the ears and the roots but if I did my hair then I don't want only that area to be messy and ugly.
I purchased this Harry Josh blow dryer recently but quite honestly I don't see that much of a difference from my old Rusk. I was hoping to get a hack for the blow dried freeziness I get every time. It seems that if I blow dry my hair after washing it, it doesn't really straightens it. It gets real freezie with the blow dryer air and only the flat iron can get rid of the freeze. I usually go on walks in the morning here in California, which is a fairly dry climate and when I come home, from the little sweat around my ears and the roots of the hair it messes up with the whole work I done the day before which prevents me from going 3 days without the heat. Any tips or tricks I can try to avoid this??

I don't even have all the recommended products yet, but just using the ones i already had, differently, has calmed my cobwebby flyaway hair that used to be coarse. Suddenly 3 years ago, it started getting soft and fine, mousse that usually gave me lion mane volume started making my hair even softer and flatter. I've lost half my hair, just seemed gone one day when i bent over to make a pineapple tail for sleep. I stopped wearing on top of head, which I'd always done for volume. These techniques have really helped (unlike the hair-filter girl pushing drug store prices
    products!)
So grateful for your plain advice, and hope i can increase volume as well as health.

I use a piece of silk cloth to push those flyways down after spraying. I give an Oil & Protein Pak to Prevent Dryness. ( I still use oil or an Ultra Light Leave - In ) For making dull hair shiny and keeping moisture at bay, Silicone Oil during blow drying or hot ironing for medium to coarse hair also helps.

I’m a 12 years hairstylist Harry josh is the best especially for pros. Dyson isn’t the most ergonomic dryer. The Dyson is drying over time causes breakage. It’s good for people with straight fine hair where it doesn’t make much a difference which they dryer pick. When you’re a pro and you have many difference types of hair sitting in your chair you need a one and done dryer. I’ve also tried multiple dryers. BabyLiss is even still better than Dyson had one of those that hasn’t died and I got it in hair school 2012

Thank you! A few hairdressers would brush my hair from my scalp to the ends. I would request they start from the ends up and they just continued to brush in that way! I should have just left. One had the nerve to say, “I’m not.”, while she was doing it. Many times I’d ask to have highlights nearest my face, so when up in a pony tail the highlights would be visible. Each time I’d come home and there would be highlights everywhere but around my face. Don’t get me started about jagged, chunky hair cuts promised to be v cuts!😡 I haven’t been to a stylist in a year and my hair looks so much closer to how I want it to look than it ever did when “professionals” worked on it.

Exactly! I haven't been to one in like 25 years! I have curly wavy hair and they treat all hairtypes the same as straight hair and fry it til it's dead... They insist on flatironing it to see "if it's even". Heat styling is de*th to curly hair... I remember the last time I went to one, she fryed it so much that my curls took two months to get back! Never again!
I like cutting it myself when needed and I'm good with my hands so it's easy for me. I keep it virgin too to avoid it falling off and thinning out.
