Hi Chris, I have been slowly incorporating your recommendations and starting to notice a big difference. So happy. I do have a request. I have bangs and not sure what to do with them. I don't put any product on them but sometimes they get oily before the rest of my hair. Could you do advice on bangs video? I love all the videos so far!
Hi everyone, so I’ve been binge watching his vids since last weekend. I purchased the redken shampoo for volume for fine hair , the Moroccan hair mask, the olaplex 3 and 7, the purology leave in and the living proof dry shampoo. These products work and did not weight my hair down. I’ve was able to not wash it for 5 days. Applied oil to my ends almost every night. My hair feels amazing. I was previously using the ordinary shampoo and conditioner but my hair was so dry that it was also curling which I did not understand because I have straight hair. I’m practicing how to use a blow dryer but like Chris said that will take some time. I am glad I found him here in YT and the products he recommends are a game changer.
Thanks, Chris!! Please do a video that explains sectioning in detail!! I am struggling with it! Also, I was so close to buying a Dyson! Thanks for reviewing them!
I am terrible at sectioning. I feel like my brain and my hands aren't ever on the same page. It is one of those concepts that my brain understands how to do, but I never am able to do it!!!
This is old, but I'm currently watching all of his videos 😂 in one, he does say to blow dry your sweat into your scalp and that the sweat is beneficial
Ion blow dryer is legit. I had an old T3 for over a decade and when Dyson hit the market I bought into the hype. After 2-3 months of Dyson my hair was a frizzy, dried mess; never in my life was that an issue for my 1 A/B hair. Went back to my old T3 and within a few weeks my hair smoothed out.
Agree, when I use the Dyson Airwrap (vs regular dryer) or even the Shark Flexstyle my hair is frizzy. I had an old T3 featherweight and when it died I replaced it with the Elchim Healthy Ionic and it was far better and faster than the T3. But it's super heavy. It's faster than the Dyson Airwrap (in dryer mode), but much slower than the Shark Flexstyle (in dryer mode) (but it has no Ionic feature).
ok, I love your videos ... but I was going to soon ask for demonstrations of someone working with their OWN hair. watching Leslie section her own hair was a great first step!!! Id love for tutorials to be explained from now on WHILE WATCHING she or someone else with long hair carrying out the steps. what I'd love to see first is self blow drying with round brush! 🎉🎉🎉 keep up the tremendous channel 👏 😊
Ok these are great but my hair is thinning and the back of my hair parts in the back so I have to wear it up after the first day. How can I get rid of that
I've been binging your videos since I discovered your channel last week and you've inspired me to take better care of myself. I was merely searching for a blowout tutorial at first but now my goal is to create an actually good routine for my fine hair! Thank you! I was also just about to buy a new blow dryer so I'm glad I saw this first, gotta look for an Ion one. You already get a lot of requests as the blowout god of youtube, but I was wondering if you could make a more extensive list of recommended products? I live in Korea and Redken, Pureology, Pulp Riot etc. that you recommend can only be bought through sketchy amazon listings with $30 shipping fees.. I would appreciate it so much if you could recommend some alternative brands or dupes per product type. Thank you for being so inspiring!!!
This man is amazing. I've grown out my hair past my shoulders, and I want to go further with it. He gives out great advice and tips on how to properly maintain your hair, I've learned a lot so.
It really annoys me when I watch flat ironing or blow drying videos and they don't section the hair, and then they wonder why it didn't look that great.
Any tips for people who sweat a lot during the night ? Some weeks I need to wash my hair more often due to this and I really don't like having to wash my hair more often than I usually do
I have watched a lot of your videos, taken the 'best products for your hair' survey and taken onboard every bit of advice you give. However, I can not help but notice you quite often recommend and show Redken products, which makes me wonder, does Redken sponsor your channel, or do you have an invested interest in the Redken company? I would imagine there are many professional hair brands who produce a good products similar to Redken but are hardly recommended, excluding Moroccanoil.
Listening to your advice and techniques made my hair look amazing even with cheap products 🤣 but I bought the good stuff now according to my hair type and will still be binge watching every step as I wash my hair tonight! 😂 completely saved my hair ❤
Id love to know how you would keep a short pixie cut from frizzing up while sleeping plz . I have a silk pillowcase but i still wake up with frizzy hair at the back . Many thanks 😊
Helllo there, any videos for curly hair? I have long silver hair down to my waist. I wear it both curly and straight. I’d love to hear what you recommend for mature ladies like me. ❤
I don't do blowouts and I don't like using products, but two (and a half?) of your suggestions have totally improved my hair: 1: Shampooing twice. Not only does it extend my time between washes, but it gives my hair more volume. 2:Wet brand brush. I've seen these before, I had friends that had them. And they'd start from the top and pull the brush through where it makes that godawful sound that only Wet brushes make. So I swore them off, and used combs and started from the bottom instead. Except... 2b: Brushing product through my hair. I would avoid brushing my hair when I put product in, choosing to finger comb it instead. But now that I have the Wet brush, I spray my leave in conditioner (mids and ends), and then brush it, and it's made a world of difference. Not only does my hair feel softer and healthier, but it's got better movement and volume now too. Same product as I've been using, the only difference is brushing it through. So even though I don't blow dry my hair, I still watch every one of your videos. Partly for the tips, partly for the wigs and expressions, lol
Love you content. Can you make a video about in-salon keratin, botox, collagen, and stem cell treatments? And maybe a video about protecting straight and curly styles while sleeping? Thank you!!!!
Thank you! A few hairdressers would brush my hair from my scalp to the ends. I would request they start from the ends up and they just continued to brush in that way! I should have just left. One had the nerve to say, “I’m not.”, while she was doing it. Many times I’d ask to have highlights nearest my face, so when up in a pony tail the highlights would be visible. Each time I’d come home and there would be highlights everywhere but around my face. Don’t get me started about jagged, chunky hair cuts promised to be v cuts!😡 I haven’t been to a stylist in a year and my hair looks so much closer to how I want it to look than it ever did when “professionals” worked on it.
Exactly! I haven't been to one in like 25 years! I have curly wavy hair and they treat all hairtypes the same as straight hair and fry it til it's dead... They insist on flatironing it to see "if it's even". Heat styling is de*th to curly hair... I remember the last time I went to one, she fryed it so much that my curls took two months to get back! Never again! I like cutting it myself when needed and I'm good with my hands so it's easy for me. I keep it virgin too to avoid it falling off and thinning out.
Surprisingly, I have been doing every single of your recommendations since 2015. I just read them online randomly and really worked for me. The only thing I was missing was the leave on conditioner. I only need to buy that one product and I'll see if my hair looks better (I hope so).
I would love a video for how to take care if you have fine natural curly/wavy hair and how to define the curls. Thank you for all your videos, I love them. But I don't blowdry my hair so I would really love to see a video about what I said before. ❤
I used disposable shower caps for years, and switched to a terry lined one per your recommendation. After some time, it starts to smell (I’m guessing because it dries slowly). How often should we wash these shower caps, and how? I threw mine in the washing machine, and water got trapped between the layers. I had to squish it out, and then I threw it in the dryer for fear it would get stinky from taking so long to dry. 🤷🏻♀️ However, I have a feeling the heat of the dryer will cause the vinyl layer to crack over time, allowing water to penetrate.

I can't seem to find the Pro Dryer sold locally here, except at a couple of dodgy websites. Is there any other hair dryer you'd recommend for international folks?
Hi Chris :) I love your videos! Sometimes I blow out my hair with my blow dryer brush, but I have very very fine strands, dense scalp coverage, with a pretty stubborn curl pattern. I once had a stylist call my hair "wirey" even though the strands are so fine. I can barely feel a single strand when I roll it between my fingers. I've been taking your advicewhere I can. For example: I stopped highlighting my hair over a year ago, because I want to get length and grow out the damage from bleach. And I've only trimmed it 2x this year, 8 months apart. But its slow going getting the length I want. (Aiming for lower back) You always recommend very light styling products for fine hair, but I have always gotten better results with heavy moisturizing products. Have you ever run into this issue? I would love for you to give some tips to us curly girls, I do love the look of a blowout, but after getting my hair perfectly straight, it immediately curls at the ends when I walk outside (Tampa, FL) Plus, when I blow out my hair, it feels so much thinner. Like the fullness comes from the curly texture, and its gone when I straighten my hair. Also, when I use clarifying (or sulfate) shampoos on wash day, my hair looks just awful afterwards. It's dry, and frizzy. Light conditioners do not work for me either, because my hair needs heavy conditioning or its dry dry dry. Sometimes I need to just "wash" my hair with only conditioner, and afterwards its so much softer and less frizzy. Oils are my hairs best friend. Do you have advice for curly hair to look its best? I know you are the "blow-out professor", but do you know anything about diffusing? I'd be very interested to hear what you recommend for us curly girls who are not trying to fight our natural pattern. Thanks :)
hi! have you ever heard of Manes by Mell? she's a curl specialist and covers many topics in her videos including diffusing and curly hair routines if you want to embrace your natural pattern
I have similar hair, fine but coarse, rough and wiry (genetics, my grandma had the same hair). I use his (BlowoutProfessor's) recs for coarse hair (Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner, Redken Clarifying Shampoo as needed for the 1st wash, Purelogy leave in spray (the one he recommends), Redken Frizz Dismiss and sometimes (not necessary but helpful) a touch of Olaplex 6. I also use a few drops (vs pumps) of the Moroccanoil oil (regular not light). I do this when I wear my hair straight or want it less frizzy. When I curl my hair or let it have it's natural frizz-wave I use his fine-medium recommendations. (Redken Volume Injection shampoo & conditioner, Redken Clarifying Shampoo as needed for the 1st wash, Purelogy leave in spray (the one he recommends), Redken Big Blowout and for the oil the Olaplex oil 7. My hair looks light, clean, bouncy with the Redken vs Moroccanoil for coarse hair, but it's still frizzy unless I flat iron it. If I use the Moroccanoil shampoo & conditioner (the ones he recommends), Redken Frizz Dismiss my hair looks smoother and I don't have to flat iron it (it's not perfect but blowout look vs flat ironed). Here's the link to his page: live-love-locks.com/pages/recommended-products
most people associate fine with oily but that’s just not the case for you. your hair is probably lipid deficient, cuz many of us have too much oil so we have to be very harsh to remove it. use what works for you! preventing tangles is KEY to prevent breakage
Hi there Chris- started following you a few months back and am loving your videos! Some of the products I purchased from your recommendation are a real game changer however still struggling with a few things... 1-freeze 2-sweat from working out/walking. I've watched the video about keeping heat-less for at least 3 days but I don't seem to be able to do it if I do my hair as you instruct, blow dry it and use the flat iron after washing. I do work out 6 days a week and cardio only 2 but even when I only lift weights and walk I still get the sweat ruining all my hair hard work haha - If its all natural freezie then I don't mind if if gets messed up around the ears and the roots but if I did my hair then I don't want only that area to be messy and ugly. I purchased this Harry Josh blow dryer recently but quite honestly I don't see that much of a difference from my old Rusk. I was hoping to get a hack for the blow dried freeziness I get every time. It seems that if I blow dry my hair after washing it, it doesn't really straightens it. It gets real freezie with the blow dryer air and only the flat iron can get rid of the freeze. I usually go on walks in the morning here in California, which is a fairly dry climate and when I come home, from the little sweat around my ears and the roots of the hair it messes up with the whole work I done the day before which prevents me from going 3 days without the heat. Any tips or tricks I can try to avoid this??
Would you be able to do a tips video for hair when it gets sweaty? I’m a gym girlie and I sweat so much after a work out(I hate it!) my hair ends up looking like I just took a shower and this causes me to wash my hair more often like every 2 days it’s frustrating and I accepted that there probably not much to do about it 😞but if there is please let a girl know!

Hey Chris, great tips as always. In a recent video you said people with fine hair should avoid ions, I was gutted as I'd just bought the T3 hot brush to deal with my frizzy fine hair! Do you think ion appliances should be used for fine hair? Thank you x
I have fine but frizzy coarse hair. I find I get a smoother result with Ion hot tools and dryers than non Ionic. It does take a little body out, but leaves smoothness.
Dyson is the ABSOLUTE BEST dryer I’ve ever used. I’ve used Harry Josh, T3, BioIonic and many others. Never had my hair look better since buying the Dyson!
I’m a 12 years hairstylist Harry josh is the best especially for pros. Dyson isn’t the most ergonomic dryer. The Dyson is drying over time causes breakage. It’s good for people with straight fine hair where it doesn’t make much a difference which they dryer pick. When you’re a pro and you have many difference types of hair sitting in your chair you need a one and done dryer. I’ve also tried multiple dryers. BabyLiss is even still better than Dyson had one of those that hasn’t died and I got it in hair school 2012

Same. I need help with sectioning when blowdrying & flat ironing.
More hair care tips for regular runners pls. The only thing that won't let me go 3-4 days w/o washing - my early morning 5k runs!
He has a video but I’m in your boat - 5-8km runs daily mean I struggle with a hair wash routine!
This is old, but I'm currently watching all of his videos 😂 in one, he does say to blow dry your sweat into your scalp and that the sweat is beneficial
"I didn't think you had guy friends" 😂 oh Leslie you're brilliant
Haha thank you! I definitely entertain myself during these sessions! 🤣
Just wanted to send a big Thank you!!! Your videos have been a game changer for me.
At age 54 my hair is finally growing!!! Sending hugs!!
Angie
Chris is by far the king of all hairdressers 👑
+
$250 for a blowdryer?!? Unless it also magically does my makeup and cooks me dinner, I don't think so!
Can you do a hair care for post swimming
he has a vid about this… can’t remember the name but talks about what to do b4 getting in a body of water & what to do after
Thank you, always informative.
This man is amazing. I've grown out my hair past my shoulders, and I want to go further with it. He gives out great advice and tips on how to properly maintain your hair, I've learned a lot so.
Thanks for the tip for fixing flyaways on the crown. Nice one!
It really annoys me when I watch flat ironing or blow drying videos and they don't section the hair, and then they wonder why it didn't look that great.
The hairdryer is not available in the UK what other one do you recommend?
Any tips for people who sweat a lot during the night ? Some weeks I need to wash my hair more often due to this and I really don't like having to wash my hair more often than I usually do
Hi Chris and Leslie! Awesome video! ❤ Could you please recommend a product to use for fine hair to keep the style when the humidity is high outside
I would love to know how to put volume into my hair for day 2 and 3. I struggle with volume after the first day
Can you please do a routine for thick, fine, wavy, lots of hair girly?
First trick can be also done with a toothbrush and hairspray.
Can we get some winter tips??
Omg I thought I was the only person who hated the dyson hairdryer! I can’t believe you are saying everything I have been thinking for ears. Amazing!
Love it! This video is JAM PACKED with a lot of really great tips and tricks ❤
I have kinky, coily hair that I never get blown out but I find many of your hacks even helpful for my hair and I enjoy your videos.
I live in a cold climate. Can you reccomend a hair care routine for the winner months when everything, including my hair gets super dry
Or under a wool hat
Helllo there, any videos for curly hair? I have long silver hair down to my waist. I wear it both curly and straight.
I’d love to hear what you recommend for mature ladies like me. ❤
I don't do blowouts and I don't like using products, but two (and a half?) of your suggestions have totally improved my hair:
1: Shampooing twice.
I need help with my crazy part on the back of my head. It goes way down and on day 2, it’s hard to get my hair to cover it.
How come I never get your emails when I subscribe? I want to know which hair products is best for my hair
Love you content. Can you make a video about in-salon keratin, botox, collagen, and stem cell treatments?
And maybe a video about protecting straight and curly styles while sleeping?
Thank you!!!!
AHAHAHAHAHAH good luck trying to fix frizzy hair with oil if you havr curly hair!
Yeah, these hacks only work on straight hair...
I keep it virgin too to avoid it falling off and thinning out.
could you recommend leave ins for fine hair?
Surprisingly, I have been doing every single of your recommendations since 2015. I just read them online randomly and really worked for me. The only thing I was missing was the leave on conditioner. I only need to buy that one product and I'll see if my hair looks better (I hope so).
Can you teach us more on how to find the right shampoo your list isn’t available near Middle East
Thanks !
Turn it inside out after every use!
@@kittykraze2350 Really? With the terry on the outside? I’ll give it a shot!
You guys are awesome. With little humor & to the point.
Please tools video 🙏
LOVED this style of video!!! You channel is SAVING my hair 🥰 THANK YOU!! My hair has finally recovered post big shed, so now I'm focusing on health and length! Thank you so much for all the effort and valuable info on this channel! Would LOVE to visit your salon one day! x
Great Video❤ thanks!
Would love to know how to protect hair during ride with my bicycle
Its always very tangled cause of the wind and weather😢
i knew all of these already, ugh. and that woman in the back who kept chiming in was so annoying.
What about sea salt sprays?
Is it ok to use 1 shampoo at the first wash and another 1 for the second wash?
Thank you for addressing flyaways! I got pregnant with my 2nd and as soon as I got pregnant, I got a bunch of breakage at the crown of my head which I did not have with my previous pregnancy. I bought the stick and it sucked and indeed was too heavy. Thanks!
The metal hairspray can that you were just holding with your hands that you said is oily!
You're like a hair Alton Brown. Very witty! Your tips are true because I'm a hair person and learned. I'm not a pro and I did not go to school. Should have though.....anyway, thank you for the help. XO
Please do some more videos for people with STRAIGHT flat hair who want some curl and body. 😊
Also, tips for very active women would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you 🧡
I can't seem to find the Pro Dryer sold locally here, except at a couple of dodgy websites.
(Aiming for lower back)
You always recommend very light styling products for fine hair, but I have always gotten better results with heavy moisturizing products. Have you ever run into this issue? I would love for you to give some tips to us curly girls, I do love the look of a blowout, but after getting my hair perfectly straight, it immediately curls at the ends when I walk outside (Tampa, FL)
Plus, when I blow out my hair, it feels so much thinner.
Here's the link to his page:

If you wash often try washing with conditioner only between washes. It saved my hair.
most people associate fine with oily but that’s just not the case for you. your hair is probably lipid deficient, cuz many of us have too much oil so we have to be very harsh to remove it. use what works for you! preventing tangles is KEY to prevent breakage
I’m a gym girlie and I sweat so much after a work out(I hate it!) my hair ends up looking like I just took a shower and this causes me to wash my hair more often like every 2 days it’s frustrating and I accepted that there probably not much to do about it 😞but if there is please let a girl know!
he’s got a vid out there for folks that work out regularly to help w/at least extending to every 3 days… how to have emily in paris hair
What products do you recommend for dandruff? I signed up for your favourite product list but there's no anti dandruff shampoo or conditioner. Regular high end salon products still leave my head itchy, I'm sure some other people would have the same struggle!
Apple cider vinegar, UA-cam it. I bought one already made for hair
Where can I buy that shower cap? I love it🤩
Amazon
The Live, love, locks one? I already have a good shower cap but I would love to have a live love locks one
Do a video on other leave in sprays, please. The one you always recommend has coconut oil in it so I'm scared it'll break me out. Thanks Chris!
The hairdryer you recommended is not dual voltage. Do you have other recs for those of us outside the US?

I’m an older, seasoned lady.. I’ve always taken great pride in my hair condition and have had my hair done in some prestigious joints (on the Gold Coast, for one) for many years.. In regard to parting hair, when the rat tail comb came out, I knew.
Your “hacks” are so intelligent (and articulate!) it’s unfortunate that even the best of stylists are unaware.
Professor, you are a man worth (every single grain of) your salt!! Whoever doesn’t follow you, should be prohibited from walking while chewing gum.
Thank you! You are a master!❤
Thank you so much for your videos! :)) Any tips for someone like me with fine hair going to the gym every second day?😰 I always wash it because it gets super greasy and it’s a pain!
@miagrace802 I think that is what I'm finding, I have definitely noticed less frizz but the body is reduced - I guess you can't have everything!
in love with that woman that shows up in ur videos.. 😂😂
Why not use a toothbrush for fly aways
You animations are everything!!!
Can you make a video of steps to take when air drying hair?
Dyson is the ABSOLUTE BEST dryer I’ve ever used. I’ve used Harry Josh, T3, BioIonic and many others. Never had my hair look better since buying the Dyson!
i love Dyson hair dryer too.
Same 😢 I was so sad when he said that. I have the airwrap and supersonic too and my hair is so healthy!
@@niewieder99 he always pushes Harry Josh so my guess is there is something behind that.
@@Itskinghailey my stylist of 19 years told me Dyson is the way to go for the healthiest option. She has never steered me wrong and my hair has never looked better…..like never!! She’s done quite a few celebs as well! I’ll go with what she tells me and what’s been working but thanks for your input!
Yea transfer the oils from your hands to the can to the hair, just saying 😉
