It's incredible that we got a lot of "Koala" cards over the years but never an archetype. Hope that an "Australian archetype" is something Konami considers in the future. Chunley was the OG beast user and very underrated at that...
I feel like the main reason why they do nothing with "Koala" cards is because, Chumley...well he kinda just existed and that's it. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike, Chumley but he's essentially forgotten once season 1 ends barring his singular reappearance during the gx tournament. Compared to the rest of side characters, Chumley was just sorta there for a bit before dipping.
I had an idea for an Australian archetype, one I call the "Deep Red" archetype. Basically based on the denizens of an Australian like desertscape. With some retrained cards like "Uluru sunrise". A more powerful version of "Ayers Rock sunrise" that uses its proper Aboriginal name. Others include "Deep Red Dustroo" "Deep Red Dunecroc" "Deep Red Rumbrumby" "Deep Red Rockhidna" and one of the boss monsters "Deep Red protector Uluroc"
the choice of using taz from looney toons for the art of tazmanian devil is top tier licious say isn't the art of emperor koala squeaky from kaijudo. Also i look forward to next week as i love the curry cards. Wish i could help you make them
Here is another boss fusion monster Marsupial Chimera Level 8 ATK/DEF 4000/4000 Beast/Fusion/Effect 3 or more beasts monsters(must be at least 1 koala and Kangaroo) Gains 100 attack for each beast monster used for its special summon. If this card is fusion summoned by the Marsupial Fusion draw cards equal to the number of beast monsters used and if you destroy cards up to the number of monsters used for this fusion summon from the field. this monster cannot be targeted by card effects -basically a Marsupial retrain of guardian chimera lol but I think it works
This probably won't make sense but would you do a copycat deck based on that character in Gx who stole yugi deck lol I know technically he doesn't have his own deck but a deck around the concept would be cool. Like his cards copy his opponents deck to force a mirror match but he gets extra effects or something like that for his own win condition
Interesting idea! I'll have to play around with the concept. On the surface, it's hard to build a deck that relies on what the opponent is playing because so much of card design nowadays is intra-archetype combos. I was actually thinking about that for Sarina's "Mirror" deck (Sartorius's sister)
Its just like calling a Monster Negate not good for the Meta bescause its not an Omni Negate. Do you know i have to scroll down to find your comment bescause of the many disslikes
Kaijudo monster?
Chumley unironically became one of my favorite characters in Yu-Gi-Oh GX due to the growth he experienced in the short time we got to kmow him.
He forgot the greatest of all Marsupials: the American Opossum
The only thing you missed out on in this deck, is making the field spell out of the card Chumlee illustrated for his contest.
That card already exists, right? Ayers Rock Sunrise?
@@customcardguy Oh wait. It does?? I had no idea.
BRO REALLY JUST USED SCARADORABLE FROM KAIJUDO AND THOUGHT WE WOULDN'T NOTICE.. SMH
In my defense, I have it listed in the artwork credits 😅
You need a card called koalaifcation or koalaified.
I need to step up my pun game 😅
I'm excited for this.

One of those concepts that are easy to build on but they refuse to. Clowns and Genies other examples

Wait a minutes you took that image from Kaijudo that creatures real name is Scaradorable of Gloom Hollow or Squeak
Was looking for this comment. Wanted to see who else remembered that show.

I would like the fusion spell to be a quick play but all in all I really like the idea of a Marsupial deck
Here is another boss fusion monster
Marsupial Chimera
Level 8
ATK/DEF
4000/4000
Beast/Fusion/Effect
3 or more beasts monsters(must be at least 1 koala and Kangaroo)
Gains 100 attack for each beast monster used for its special summon. Make it level 12
Why does flippant koala remind me of chumlee's dad?
Because he flips tables

Day 1 of asking you to do custom Laval support cards
I expected bigger Koalas, 4200 ATK isn't really good for a beatstick.
Yes it is lol
@mactills1368 The baseline nowadays is like 5000.
