Ladies, Greetings from sunny Laval, Québec! As always, it's been lovely to spend some time knitting with you. Congratulations again on you 3K milestone! Bon voyage, Tammi, See you soon, Janet & Claudia
As I was watching the intro I found myself commenting out loud about projects you have finished and the apparent yarn acquisitions, as though you could hear. Watching the three of you is definitely like knitting with friends.
I found an interesting tip that said when purling, if your stitches are too long, purl the stitch by bringing the yarn under n to over. Works like a charm. Love the green and white pants.
Have to say, I get so excited when I see a new episode! So many beautiful sweaters and the Field Sweater, I am obsessed with it, so can’t wait to see your progress and of course, your finished projects (no pressure!). Tammi, have a wonderful vacation and Claudia, enjoy your trip and Janet, look forward to seeing your projects, finished and WIPs!

Tammy - I'm knitting Robinia Light - same issue with curling on the narrow rib - I steam blocked it before I picked up for the back - voila! It's now fine. I've now separated at the armhole - discovered quickly that my gauge was too tight when knitting in the round and moved up a needle size - another Voila! My husband doesn't really notice my WIPs but this caught his attention and he said WOW!
Hi ladies. It was a very nice vlog again. And how much you knit! Awesome. I wish you a safe journey wherever it may go. And gladly see you next time. 😀

just found your channel...love it!! going back to the first episode. I'm excited to have a whole array to watch. Thanks for your videos and inspiration!
Claudia-a purl stitch after a knit stitch uses more yarn since it has to come from back to front and all the way around the needle. Patty Lyons has a great explanation. The solution is to wrap the purl stitch clockwise and work it thru the back leg on the next row. I do that on all ribbing and anywhere else when a purl follows a knit. It tightens up the knit stitch.
Thanks, Deb. Where can I find the explanation by Patty Lyons? Is it on youtube? I've always struggled with the conversion from knit to purl. I am always willing to learn something new. Thank you so much.

I am enjoying your podcasts so much! Beautiful patterns and wool/ colour choices are very inspirational! Tammi, unfortunately I didn't understand the way you made the edge of the Roll over Top ( modification) - which I would be very happy to try
After the top was finished I picked up 3 out of 4 stitches. Between each slipped stitch is a small stitch. Be sure to include those as you count. I cast on two stitches then knit 1, knit 2 tog tbl. I followed the same method for neck and sleeve openings. Let me know if you need more information. ☺️
You are all so organized about your Rhinebeck outfits! I’m planning to be there, but no idea what I will wear. I’m worried it will be too hot to wear knits comfortably. 😊
I can tell you that the wheat stitches are fun. I’m having a difficult time with knitting 3 or 5 stitches through the back loop. I’m using a smaller needle on the left side and that helps. I’m holding drops alpaca with mohair and that is probably why it is difficult. It is very fuzzy. If I used just one yarn it would be easier I think but I really like the color work.
@woolandwine Thank you for the quick reply. I will keep that tip in mind when I make mine. I also am using mohair with the MC, which I have never done before.
As a beginner knitter, only knowing the knit and purl stitch, I am anxious to knit a sweater. You look like you do a LOT of sweaters and was wondering what I should start with and the yarn you use. Thanking you in advance!!
I would recommend starting with a top-down pullover. Are you able to M1R and M1L? No matter what kind of sweater you make, you will need to know that skill. The DRK Everyday Sweater might be a good beginner's project. The gauge for the sweater is 21 stitches over four inches. Hopefully you know how to do a gauge swatch. Her suggested yarn is a sport weight, but you could also use DK. I enjoy working with wool but but the choice is yours. You can look at knitpicks yarn and pick something from there. Their yarn is good quality and not too expensive. I'm excited for you. Let us know how you do.
@@woolandwine thank you for your quick reply. I just looked up those stitches and I think I can do those. I will research the pattern and yarn you suggested. I will keep you posted. Ty again!!
I don’t know if it will work in this instance but when I was working on an Isabel Kraemer sweater my purl seam didn’t look right and someone suggested to pull the 2nd stitch after the purl stitch TIGHTLY. It made all the difference in making it look right and both seams looking more identical.
Another fabulous episode with so much inspiration. Who needs Ravelry? I am wondering how much time you devote to knitting each day? This summer I am knitting most days, but not finishing anything. Maybe I have too many WIP’s…is that possible?
Hi Ann! I think the increase at row 5 is just the first one. It has been a while since I worked on the yoke. If I remember correctly though, the rest are on the cable row.
Hey friends, so cool to find a new podcast. I used to work and teach at a yarn store and I think I know the issues with the slipping of the stitches on the tank top. On the knit side, when you slip your stitch, are you inserting your needle as if you will knit the stitch and then slipping it instead? This will twist your stitch and make it tighter. On the purl side, the twisting doesn't happen. Don't know for sure but maybe something to consider
Also, I wanted to add when you purl you use more yarn going over rather than under. When knitting you use less yarn, so maybe try purling under to snatch up some of the extra yarn? I saw a podcast a few weeks ago talking about it. So another thing to try. And I agree it could also be the direction of the slip off your stitches, which is why some patterns say slip stitch purlwise...
Love your podcast. I try to share on Instagram a photo of me watching and what I’m knitting on. You don’t allow people to share to your Instagram account
