    I super interesting episode. I appreciate the cross conversation about the knits with the three perspectives highlighting different challenges, FROGGING, re-doing, modifications and yarns. I so appreciate the video clips of you all wearing the FO's. Great tip re the balls of wool being placed in the sleeve of the jumper. Ingenious. That's something I'll be have a go at. Best of luck finishing the Cartwright Sweater. Looks like a solid challenge. 😊 Knitting with 2 yarns held together is something I need to experiment with too. Can't wait for the next episode. Thanks guys. ❤❤❤

      Thank you so much! I'm not sure how much of a challenge the Cartwright is. Maybe i'm just making it too hard. Thank you so much for your kind words and thanks for watching.

    Okay ladies, I was laughing out loud tonight! Claudia’s sleeves-OMG just cracked me up. But you all were having fun and it resonates and comes through so naturally. I love your videos as always. But when you describe your garments, can you comment more on how it’s knit (without giving away the pattern), like bottom up/top down or anything particular about it. Thanks so much. Keep making such fun videos!

      Pam, Thank you, I’m excited about the birth of our grandson! This is the first time I’ve knit for a grand baby. Thanks for the hat suggestions. I went to checked the itty bitty hats and saw some cute ones. Also the Itty Bitty Bear Cubs hat by Carolyn Ingram popped up and is a free pattern that I’ve decided to knit. So cute. I’m on a hat roll because I just made the Teagan baby hat with top knot. I’ll show on the next episode. The flax light sweater is a must knit! Thanks again! Great suggestions!

    You ladies are so prolific!! I'm always amazed at all you have knitted!! Tammi, my jaw dropped as I saw the Moby Sweater you are making for your husband!! I started the vest for myself, and I'm finding it slow going. And, I hear you about hand dyed yarn! I learned that lesson with Magpie fibers when I had to rip back a sweater I was making. The yarn I'm using for the vest is hand dyed as well, so I'm alternating skeins. Loved the pictures of Claudia's vacation at the end!! Looks fabulous!

    • @woolandwine
      @woolandwine  10 місяців тому

      That Moby sweater is beautiful and not really difficult either. Thanks for the compliments. We love using hand dyed yarns also and important to alternate the skeins. It was an awesome adventure that Claudia experienced. 🧶🍷

    Pausing the video to say...I'm near Niagara in Ontario...wine country. You should plan a weekend trip to visit....I think there are approx 100 wineries in the area in which you can go to for tastings. One area that is my favourite is known for wonderful Reislings, and of course we are famous for ice wines!

    Claudia, could you provide a little more info on the “fix” for the stretched neck on the sweater you are wearing? What is the name of the clear stretch elastic you used? How did you insert it? Right at the edge? I think this will work for my Ranunculus!!

    • @woolandwine
      @woolandwine  10 місяців тому +1

      Hello! The elastic thread I use is called knitting in elastic. Its clear. I think I got it off of Hobbii but I'm sure you can get it at a local fabric store. I put it through a needle and ran in through the wrong side at the edge. It's amazingly stretchy so I pulled it in a little bit and tied it. And it might look a little puffy when it's on a hanger but it pulls out when you wear it. I hope that helps. Have a great weekend.

    Enjoyed your podcast as usual!! I have a question. You all seem to mix yarns together frequently for your projects. Do you pick out yarns that look like they would go together and then do a gauge swatch to see a pattern that matches the gauge or pick out a pattern and try to obtain the gauge with the yarn you want to use? Just curious. Anyway have a great vacation!

    • @woolandwine
      @woolandwine  11 місяців тому
