  • This is my four year review of ownership with the 1023E. I bought it brand new, it had .9 hours on it. It is a 2018 from what I understand, bought in September of 2019, right before the pandemic and it's crazy increases in price. The whole unit including loader, 54" deck and mulch kit was $13,500, cheaper than a X700 series had I gotten all that the 1023E offers. I'm lucky, had I not bought it then, I probably never would have. It's been a great tractor, follow my one, two and three year reviews as well.

I have only had my 1023 four months but so far I love this machine! I have had much larger tractors but this little giant makes small jobs easy.

Yes, I agree, I think that is lost on some folks, having a 1 series gives them a sense of sort of owning a little "big" tractor, but the success of these tractors in the power and versatility they punch with in their small package. I see guys always asking if they can put 5' and 6' attachments on them. And while they maybe can, it takes away from the versatility and agility of the tractor in small spaces where big tractors can't operate, but you don't want to grab a shovel or rake...because that's for younger men🤣. Thanks for watching, take a look when you have time at some of my other videos that deal with the 1023E. I try to cover what others don't cover.

Thanks for making these videos on your 1023. Just purchased one for my acreage. It’s good to be able to see how it fairs from 0 to 400 hrs.

Hey, you are very welcome, thanks for watching them, I try to make them useful or helpful for those that may own one or want to own one. So far, and 400 hours/4 years isn't huge, but so far so good for the most part.

Once in a while Deere Will surprise you by being cheaper. I'm so close to buying a 1023e,I really think it will do what I would want it to here. My dealer has a 2023 model with only 12 hours on it ,I ask them what it would take to own it and I was surprised to be honest it was lower then I was expecting $14k, I stopped by there today and took a quick at it,the rubber tits on all 4 tires was clearly visible. Your thoughts? I enjoy watching your videos

I mean that sounds like a great deal at this point, new they are like $17-19K without a deck, so that 12 hours is like a demo, if it's brand new pretty, I'd grab it before anyone else got wind of the price. I mean that's $500 more than mine brand new, but mine was bought pre-Covid, so way cheaper. I got lucky and it sounds like you are getting lucky too. Thanks for watching and tell me how it works out.

Question, why do you have the turnbuckles so tight? On my 1025r i run them fairly loose , i think it makes hook up to the tiller easier. Just my opinion.
I have a 1023e coming just to mow with, i got tired of taking thr backhoe and loader off. Seems like when ever i took the backhoe off someone wanted something dug.

Once an attachment is installed, I tighten them, but for install, I usually have them loose. Once installed, I like them tight, so there's less sway in my weight and I can sometimes keep stuff like a tiller or stump grinder from walking me, instead of me walking them. I hope that makes sense and yes way easier to install an attachment if they are loose. It's funny you say that, as easy as JD has made it to switch things, I too fuss and delay switching things over, weird how that is, but I do it too, BUT, I don't have a BH, so that's a huge advantage for me, but still I am lazy. Thanks for watching.

Yeah and more expensive the John Deere Power Boxes. Was very surprised the JD was so cheap and they last a long time. Thanks for watching.
