Before this game I never wanted kids, this sort of also helped that opinion grow… so I get it. Heh… there was one game that countered this opinion however. In any case, yeah, she’s a monster!

Maybe Evie would've gotten that family she wanted if she didn't turn the residents evil.
Also, Ethan's one of those characters that was intended to be anyone. Just an average person compared to the other protagonists. This is why they go to such comical lengths to avoid showing his face whenever he is shown and why his motives to keep going are very grounded. It's to avoid attaching a defined identity to him.
