For those of you getting upset and reacting negatively to this video remember these things - Bethesda chose to leave pvp mechanics in the game. You do not have to watch the video. You do not have to like the contents of the video. These guys are simply showing you something that exists in the game. You didn't get offended at the videos of them showing how to afk the event. This is no different than the event being nuked and leading to the same conclusion. Toxicity can spread in many ways including negative, nasty and angry comments on this page. Reminder again that this is a game and Oskapt and Noodle always try to keep it light hearted. It's simply sharing information and has nothing to do with our personal beliefs on game mechanics.

You may not see it because you are recent, but a lot of people follow you, support you, and possibly respect your both of ya'lls opinions. What you did here is essentially the equivalent of griefing a great portion of the player base. I will not sit here and pretend like this is solely on you, since bethesda and their spaghetti code havent taken 2 seconds of their time to fix these things. Nevertheless it is a shame that this is the stance you are taking. Consider me, and a good portion of your fanbase lost.

"you want something for nothing" ok and? im trying to maximize my chances of getting a glowing mask. i have two... blue devil and unicorn. i want all. i only have a few days left, so when i sleep, im going afk. like the five or more other people on the server. its a easy event and can be done with 1 or 2 people. lets us be. or not.. your choice, kill us... well still get the rewards.
@BxBxProductions I've been able to play 10+ events a day. No glowing masks. No butter churn. Just because you got lucky doesn't mean the drop rates aren't abysmal.
Killing afk players at the event is actually more beneficial for the players afking. When your dead at the event you will still get all the rewards, when you respawn, the game will pop fasnacht event completed multiple times. When I go afk I just kill myself come back in a few hours, and I'll have multiple events completed, 9 times out 10 I allway get a rare mask, good luck out there
So i get that people are upset when everyone is afk in THAT server, but lets get real. All the servers share the same time on the fasnacht start/ finish times. So if you see people spinning and afk’ing (they literally arent going anywhere) just server hop. Like let them miss out on rewards and just go to a different server. People complain too much rather than just going for the obvious option and just want to stay salty
I wish it was that easy, between long load times, risk of a nuked event you spawn into, more afker's, spawning into a fresh server and game crashing it's a 50/50 shot of doing the event even on another server. If people wanna afk that's fine and if people wanna grief them that's fine as well. I collect the masks to display and have no desire to financially gain from them. If they drop great, if I can trade with a friend great, but I'm not gonna spend real world money on an in game cosmetic item. I think that's where the real problem lies. The value that has been put on these by the market leads to what we have, as in any online game.
the issue isnt so much that people afk, its that people are afk'ing with multiple accounts, the servers already cant handle people who are there, and people who are taking up a server slot are just causing more lag. I dont blame them at all because of the drop rates, i blame bugthesda. Still, afk'ing is shitty yes, pushing people out of an event area is also shitty, but guess who's actually playing the game, not the afk'ers. People with multiple accounts should be banned IMO. I dont care how they justify it, or how many computers or accounts they buy, they are whales making the game pay to play for everyone instead of just themselfs, and that is the bigger issue.
In 2 server hops, the event will be over just from how long the game takes to actually load in. There has been several times and different servers where there was just me and 1 other guy doing the event with several afkers in the area. I get wanting masks but most of them don't event want the masks for themselves, they go off and sell them on gameflip for $20 or so.
Play the game, stop worrying about what other players do. I hate this argument, so fucking needless to worry about a simple event that can be easily soloed.

Some of the reasons I follow this channel is the unbiased content, creative dialogue, gameplay and fun first mentality. But what really keeps me coming back is the attention to detail, the effort put into research, mathing so I don't have to, and the amazing editing. I wouldn't have a problem with AFK players if they didn't try to sell all their duplicates for extortionate prices at their camp. Any duplicates I get from taking part in Fasnacht I find lower level players and gift them for free. I also sell any weapons I'm not going to use for 300 caps, the only exception is if I get a god roll Fixer or similar, I either gift them to friends or low level players or sell them for 1000 caps, same with plans.
I have run the event a lot, and I use a mule to increase my rewards - using the mule to play music while I run around - helps get that slow music going. And I bring wood, collect steins, bees wax and intestines and eggs from the previous event. So I can get all the bots ready in under 2 minutes solo. And then, when I'm working, I like to AFK to get rewards since we know the glowing are so hard to get. Given I do so much to help others when I play, I think it's fair to AFK here and there. But yes, when I join a server and see 12 AFK people at FN and then nobody else shows up to help protect the march, yeah nah... I'll head to another server. (I have 6/7 glowing so far, and about 4/5 older rares and just far too many C/UC)

Yup. Im right with you. I have Absolutely no problem with it. I actually got the turkey glowing afk. But when im able to play i will play. I have a life and work alot. Plus most times when i actually play i dont even get anything. These guys complaining but dont pay rent😂 people complaining about afkers are gonna be apologizing when its only 1 day left and they only have 1 glowing.
Even by killing them, the AFK people still get the loot from the event. so killing them does nothing but make you look like a whiny baby. Their being there does not affect your chances of getting a rare mask. It's a waste of your time.

Just launched a nuke on the SB Queen and only 4 people showed up so we didn’t win the event, so you may wonder where everyone else was? AFK AT FASNACHT…. This was my first solo nuke so I was pretty pissed😭
Don't mind AFK for events. RNG is a joke. I HATE people dropping nukes in the event area because of the rads for non-power armor players. Please, grow up folks and stop nuking the event.
It was never about afk players, it was always just to screw with low levels and troll the 100s. This also will just be low level trolling, you can be dead for hours and still collect the masks on event complete. I find this whole thing to be impotent.

yea I afk but i also work 60hours a wekk and paid for the game and the electricity i use so its no one elses business how i play the game unless they want to give me a free mask, you should be focusing bethesda for the shit drop rates they caused people to afk farm the event.
My thoughts exactly when I saw this in my notifications. If you don't like afking skip servers. People are quick enough to yell at people for playing hpw they want when it comes to certain weapons. This is literally the same argument. Let people do what they want. At the end of the day, they are using their electric and Internet bill to do this. Not everyone has time to do the events 24/7 people have lives outside fallout. Restricting players to as little chances as possible to receive a reward is just toxic.
If you have a pc set up a macro with a zoom in zoom out button that is on a continuous loop go to Helvetia and die and when clicking respawn activate your macros and leave it afk you still get rewards and no one can do anything about it.😊 people have jobs, family’s and don’t sit at their computer all day especially with these drop rates
I love your videos! I AFK sometimes, if someone manages to kill me while I'm AFK, more power to them. I might do this kill other AFK players. It's a game that is meant to be played as a Settler, or a Raider, or however you want to play. Just have fun and chill.
Honestly I don't blame afkers. After doing over 80 fastnachts and only getting a regular alien mask as a rare, I started asking during work and sleep too. The drop rates are so abysmal, and the event is so easy I can solo it as a new level 90. I participate when playing but fuck these drop rates damn right I'm asking through work and sleep.
Funny thing is I been in a mostly AFK lobby and only me and ONE OTHER PERSON did the WHOLE event. Just us. We didn’t care about the AFK cause the event is EASY 🤡

I'd totally forgotten about the bloatfly syringer! I've had one for years but haven't used it in a looong time. I guess the AFKers aren't worth the effort but I'll def be taking my syringer out for some giggles.
I play as much as I can. Having kids and a full time job makes playing all day difficult. I AFK as often as possible and I always will, l am as we speak. The amount of time the game crashes, freezes or the robots glitch, I think bethesda should give us 2 free masks every season. Anyway it makes me happy knowing that something as simple as AFKing drives people up the wall. 😂
I think like others are saying that even dead the afks will still get rewards if the even happens, looks like nuke is the only option unless Bethestha would actually care and do afk something that could be reported. Other option I had seen is attacking the camp of players who are afk. Since they are basically announcing they aren't available to defend it.
Well, it has officially happened. I was at a Fasnacht event today where we had close to, if not as many, people AFK'ing as we had participating. Thanks guys...
These anti afkers lol i activity afk while actually playing just to laugh at the lot of you when i get my 7th glowing mask. I afk openly and proudly now on the roof eating popcorn and i encourage others to do the same!
There is no need to kill them because it is a waste of time to AFK, and AFKers are killing themselves with boredom instead. If AFK is sooo effective, why are so many players still playing this event after 5 years? That's because a majority of players still haven't got all the masks. And that's because the probability is too low to get them all even if you play them all 336 times (24 times per day times 14 days). You need about 959 tries to get the 5 new rare masks, and 1536 tries to get all 21. This event is pretty much designed to NEVER let you get all the masks. That's how Bethesda keeps people playing.
Being mad at someone in a video game. Reminds me of being mad at someone who has nicer clothes or car than you! When all that's stopping you is you, nothing stopping you from doing same. Also it really is just different type of online bullying. Just change servers and you'll be fine.
There's another method that works with this one. Luring enemies in that you have pre'loaded with a bloatfly or luring in an enemy, shooting them with the syringe, and popping them. Either way you get the bloatfly in and attacking but you don't need assistance doing it. It's the solo method for killing AFK'ers with enemy creatures, and it worked VERY well. I got around 50 AFK'ers killed that way during the last weekend of Fasnacht, including my wife a couple of times.
@@Gamer_Aviator There's them, but over by the church and up the hill random enemies spawn.The rest are a bit of a walk, but not too bad. Arktos Pharma, greg's Mine Supply, Horizon's Rest, and the lookout tower. Some enemies are easier to lure than others, like super mutants and bloatflies never seem to give up the chase while others it's easier to just turn to bloatflies and get those to follow. The robots don't take the bloatflies, but the handies and eyebots will follow for a while. I started luring things in a couple of days before this video, and this made it a lot easier.
I afk some and play a lot. My first Fasnacht mask was given to me ony first halloween playing the game when i came across a bunch of players camps around the wayward who were giving stuff to players who came to their camp for trick or treating and that is what i will be doing this year with extra masks I get.....including any extra glowing ones.
I afk timed events when I can because I have a job unlike the losers that take issue with people doing it, Bethesda lowers the drop rates to 0.23% for rares and nasally mouth breathers want to act like we do it to mess with them and get salty over it

I've never run the event where there wasn't a lot of other players participating and often making the event too easy. I don't see the fun in akf but they haven't been in the way so I'm not bothered at all by them
Did you all see that they are planning on expanding the area you can't nuke? It looks like next year you will no longer be able to nuke Helvetia? I kinda like the glowing frogs, but it works for me.
It depends. If you kill someone while the event is active they automatically respawn, and if they happen to have their analog stick pulled to the side, they will spin and you can push spinning players outside the event zone so they don't get rewards. Is it toxic? Maybe, but it's their fault for going afk in a way that can backfire.
@@AEheyeh but if afk players open their map, enter photo mode and spin from that screen, they don't spin in circles if they respawn. I've also heard Afk players can also eat rads til death and lay there on the respawn screen til the server shuts down....still collecting rewards with the photo mode spin method.
Since i've been on my deployment I've only been able to play the event 3 times, I considered AFKing to get at least 1 of the rare masks but not any more XD

This is all fun and good. But for those of you expecting to use this or nukes to foil people afk'ing fasnacht, just be aware that by killing them you are not hindering them at all, in fact you are helping them afk! When they get killed they don't respawn, they just get knocked, at this point they are still eligable for rewards, and are now totally invulnerable to both being kiled (until they hit that spawn button) any further and disconnection due to inactivity. So if you're after revenge, just don't bother, you'll just make it worse. You're better off organising with everyone there to abandon that server and leave them unfullfilled.
I always saw the NUKE as a means to tell others that "WARNING - AFKers Be AFKing, carry at your own risk." Which is fair, Im up all day carriyng people, I want to AFK all night. If I get disconnected, Nuked, Game Crash, or no one completes the mission cause everyone is AFK, that is the additional RNG I take. I believe this is the way fallout should be.
First, you make a video on how to afk and talk in comments talk about how you are pro afk. After that video you get backlash from all the complainers and crybabies that love nothing more than policing how others choose to play the game. To appease them, you make an anti afk video to play both sides and try not to lose subscribers because that is all you care about. You really showed your colors on this video. Unsubbed.

The AFK'rs and the active players make the economy go around. So many who AFK for hours get those glorious glowing masky thingies, trade them for whatever, more people get glowing mask thingies at the end of the day.
I was accused of AFKing, but all I did was set the controller down after marsupial jumping onto a rooftop so I could use the bathroom. And when I came back a minute later I was killed despite being in Pacifist Mode.
I just nuke Helvetia. Everyone who is actually playing hops to a different server, so the server becomes a bunch of afk people sitting in a church getting no rewards because there is no one actually doing the event.
I play during the day and I AFK at night as I sleep. Doing so allowed me to get all the "Glowing Masks". I still run the event in hopes to get duplicates for my wife's collection. It is my job to do whatever it takes to acquire the rewards and it's everyone else's job to try and stop me. As they say, "It's all fair in love and war!". I'm fairly sure that this includes Fallout 76. It's only digital death and it can be fun to find clever ways like this to smite thy freeloaders. ;)
From what I understand there is no rule against afking but there is actually a rule against griefing so I guess choose your poison? "2.3 You may not harass, threaten, intentionally humiliate, "stream snipe", "name and shame", engage in acts of "griefing", or cause distress to another user, guest, or ZeniMax staff member/teams using ZeniMax sites and Services. This includes but is not limited to verbal attacks (both text and voice chat), unwanted messaging, personal attacks, stalking or any other undesired behavior used to cause discomfort or disrupt another user's experience....."
It is actually griefing through that persons actions and intent to another player whether it’s PvP or not (i.e. Using the environment in a way to harass other players).
Yeah but their is no grief to be experienced since they don't even know what happened at the moment. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the afk people. Hell I do it when I can't actively play, but I also wouldn't get upset if someone managed to outplay me. Which is why when I afk I use the respawn method to avoid interruptions, barring a game crash.

No…people are going to nuke Helvetia anyway. This gives them another option that’s more surgical, so if they want to only target AFK players, the rest of people can run the event in peace. It’s about not dropping a nuke, but so few people got that. The funniest part is that DEAD PLAYERS STILL GET THE REWARDS! They’re still AFK until they respawn, so no AFK player gets hurt by this at all. Go watch our video Fasnacht and the Furious. Moreover, in order for the bloatfly strategy to work, those who hate AFK players have to actually kill THEMSELVES as well. You don’t see the irony?
theres scorched in the building to the right of the frog spawn though that will follow you back to main street (and in my case consistently attack your camp if you put it on the hill behind the frogs spawn), getting them up stairs may be tricky though. I don't mind the afkers though, considering the drop rates I kinda dont blame them honestly, if you only have a couple hours of game time a day thats only 2 tries at getting that churn or a glowy mask, it gets downright discouraging when you get yet another jester mask and confetti pile plan, so I just leave them be.
I have to go AFK, not really beause I'm still observing, but if there is more than 15 players I only observe if they need help because of a lot of AFK players. I help with the beginning but I wait unless there aren't many fighting, than I jump in. Some player on my team gave me crap about being AFK, despite 10 people fighting. I try to help and get kicked from the game. I join the team back in the same lobby but miss the event. Still get accused of leaving intentionally. I left cordially and blocked them but some of us have old systems and we can't join without getting kicked. If there's only 13 players I'm usually good, but more people blasting in close quarters overloads my system and kicks me.

That’s an interesting response. You want to punish us because you feel justified by AFKing. If you watch our videos, you know that we also AFK and that we not only have videos on how to do it and why but also how to survive getting nuked (which we also say in this video will make you immune to the bloatfly tactic). This video isn’t about how to kill AFK players. It’s about how to kill AFK players without dropping a nuke. People are going to kill AFK players anyway. If we can get them to do it surgically, then it leaves the event un-nuked for others to enjoy. If you follow our strategy in Fasnacht and the Furious, you will be unaffected by this or anything else. If someone follows the bloatfly strategy, then they have to also kill themselves. Don’t you see the irony? The best part is that if someone kills you while AFK, you stay AFK and still get the rewards. Unsubscribing from our channel doesn’t hurt us any more than getting bloatflied hurts you. We will continue to make content that challenges people’s perception, ethics, and emotions and that helps make the game more interesting for everyone.

I really don't have a problem with people who afk. I don't have a problem with people who nuke the area of an event, makes it more fun to me. The problem I see with people who afk is server space. I have made alot of friends on Fallout 76 and we like playing on the same team. Yet private servers don't offer the fun of other players and what they do, like nuking areas. So when people afk they take up server space. You may say, just play on another server. I offer you this problem with that option. Your camp will not show up all the time on different servers. That would be because someone else's camp or tent is in the same area already. Thus, just switching to another server isn't always an option. I don't know how to fix this problem or if there is a fix. I have even went afk once or twice. The community of 76 is a great place, there are the few bad apples but still great. Maybe another rule unwritten rule of 76 could be something like: if there are 5 afk already jump servers. I mean if you just going afk your camp shouldn't matter where it is. Idk, just an idea. I would be ok with it.
I've just started experimenting with syringers (that sounds bad...), and I had to server hop three times yesterday to find a Fassnacht event not clogged up with afkers, so this does appeal to me. 😂
Go ahead and kill me while i afk because i have a life that needs to be lived outside of playing the game (work, family, etc.) It only wastes your time. I still get my rewards and you help me because my food stops spoiling. 😂 i feel no guilt afk'ing to get stuff in a game that has a very small event play time window with super rare rewards.
This is way better than nuking imo. Since they get the loot if they’re dead or not at least your only affecting the player AFK. Instead of ruining the event for low level players wanting to do it. Just don’t AFK with junk and everyone’s happy.
This is quite inventive also funny. good video. love the chemistry. i have been killed being AFK in this event by a nuke. also caught someone leading a hound to my in that building. i want to be clear i dont normally afk i think its a lazy run of the events however i did this run solid for a week every waking moment i could only AFK when eating or running errands and got nothing but commons and confetti plans, its a horrible event for drop rates of anything decent so for the past couple of nights i leave my system on and my Character spinning in spot while i sleep and i finally managed to get a decent mask and the churn. if the loot pool wasnt so big with horrible rates it prob wouldnt need people to afk to get a good item.
Honestly, you can tell who the afk-ing socialist commies are in the comment section. They want everything for free, while others do all the work. This game, just like all gaming, is an elective activity. It is not required... You are telling everyone that you believe you are entitled and special, that your time is more valuable then everyone's, and you deserve all the rewards, with zero effort on your part to gain said rewards. Then you blame real world duties on your lack of effort and poor time management. Because again, you feel your real life duties are more important then every other adult on this planet who has real world duties. Your claim is "But I need those glowing rare silly masks!!!". Then you turn around and sell (At astro prices) all the other masks and plans you had doubles of, keeping the caps... Also, just like this game, reading the comments is an elective, and you can tell which sobs who choose not to read the comments because it's too much work to read past seven words. Effort dictates the rewards. No effort means you can go pound sand.
A few days ago I was at fasnacht and there was this dude who had a ghoul with him and he wasnt killing it then I got what he was doing he was herding it killing afkers i helped him it was hilarious.

I have next to zero issue with AFK players (Just the selfish part of me that feels a little off about people benefiting from other people doing the work), but this might be worthwhile to use against those players who sit AFK at the donation box taking everything people put in there. Sadly it requires me to have friends to work. 😅
I hate this event so much due to all the AFK. It's NOT about running the event, it's about the fact you have EVERY server with 15+ AFK leaving less than 10 slots on servers for people to even play the game. It RUINS SERVERS with how many are AFK because there's only 24 max slots on servers. The fact nobody thinks about this is a great example of how thoughtless and narcissistic most people are today.
I like to take the, give one take one approach. I will run the event and than find a spinning afk person and push them oustide the event area which prevents, them from earning rewards than I take their spot. I even pushed one guy up to the overseer's house so he would be super confused when he got back on.

Never understood the pvp aspect only time I’ve died from someone was when I would accidentally open something locked and get a bounty, I’ve never seen anyone actually try to fight anyone
For those of you getting upset and reacting negatively to this video remember these things - Bethesda chose to leave pvp mechanics in the game. You do not have to watch the video. You do not have to like the contents of the video. These guys are simply showing you something that exists in the game. You didn't get offended at the videos of them showing how to afk the event. This is no different than the event being nuked and leading to the same conclusion. Toxicity can spread in many ways including negative, nasty and angry comments on this page. Reminder again that this is a game and Oskapt and Noodle always try to keep it light hearted. It's simply sharing information and has nothing to do with our personal beliefs on game mechanics.

Yeah I've been AFK on the death screen while I sleep. I just stick a penny between my S and D key to hold S down to simulate activity

Killing afk players at the event is actually more beneficial for the players afking. When your dead at the event you will still get all the rewards, when you respawn, the game will pop fasnacht event completed multiple times. When I go afk I just kill myself come back in a few hours, and I'll have multiple events completed, 9 times out 10 I allway get a rare mask, good luck out there

So i get that people are upset when everyone is afk in THAT server, but lets get real. All the servers share the same time on the fasnacht start/ finish times. So if you see people spinning and afk’ing (they literally arent going anywhere) just server hop. Like let them miss out on rewards and just go to a different server. People complain too much rather than just going for the obvious option and just want to stay salty
I wish it was that easy, between long load times, risk of a nuked event you spawn into, more afker's, spawning into a fresh server and game crashing it's a 50/50 shot of doing the event even on another server.
If people wanna afk that's fine and if people wanna grief them that's fine as well.
I collect the masks to display and have no desire to financially gain from them. If they drop great, if I can trade with a friend great, but I'm not gonna spend real world money on an in game cosmetic item. I think that's where the real problem lies. The value that has been put on these by the market leads to what we have, as in any online game.

the issue isnt so much that people afk, its that people are afk'ing with multiple accounts, the servers already cant handle people who are there, and people who are taking up a server slot are just causing more lag. I dont blame them at all because of the drop rates, i blame bugthesda. Still, afk'ing is shitty yes, pushing people out of an event area is also shitty, but guess who's actually playing the game, not the afk'ers. People with multiple accounts should be banned IMO. I dont care how they justify it, or how many computers or accounts they buy, they are whales making the game pay to play for everyone instead of just themselfs, and that is the bigger issue.
In 2 server hops, the event will be over just from how long the game takes to actually load in.
There has been several times and different servers where there was just me and 1 other guy doing the event with several afkers in the area. I get wanting masks but most of them don't event want the masks for themselves, they go off and sell them on gameflip for $20 or so.
Play the game, stop worrying about what other players do.

Some of the reasons I follow this channel is the unbiased content, creative dialogue, gameplay and fun first mentality. But what really keeps me coming back is the attention to detail, the effort put into research, mathing so I don't have to, and the amazing editing. Don't let negativity change what you're doing, you guys are amazing!
I wouldn't have a problem with AFK players if they didn't try to sell all their duplicates for extortionate prices at their camp.
Any duplicates I get from taking part in Fasnacht I find lower level players and gift them for free.
I also sell any weapons I'm not going to use for 300 caps, the only exception is if I get a god roll Fixer or similar, I either gift them to friends or low level players or sell them for 1000 caps, same with plans.
I have run the event a lot, and I use a mule to increase my rewards - using the mule to play music while I run around - helps get that slow music going. And I bring wood, collect steins, bees wax and intestines and eggs from the previous event. So I can get all the bots ready in under 2 minutes solo. And then, when I'm working, I like to AFK to get rewards since we know the glowing are so hard to get. Given I do so much to help others when I play, I think it's fair to AFK here and there.
But yes, when I join a server and see 12 AFK people at FN and then nobody else shows up to help protect the march, yeah nah... I'll head to another server.
(I have 6/7 glowing so far, and about 4/5 older rares and just far too many C/UC)

Just launched a nuke on the SB Queen and only 4 people showed up so we didn’t win the event, so you may wonder where everyone else was? AFK AT FASNACHT…. This was my first solo nuke so I was pretty pissed😭

My thoughts exactly when I saw this in my notifications. If you don't like afking skip servers. People are quick enough to yell at people for playing hpw they want when it comes to certain weapons. This is literally the same argument. Let people do what they want. At the end of the day, they are using their electric and Internet bill to do this. Not everyone has time to do the events 24/7 people have lives outside fallout. Restricting players to as little chances as possible to receive a reward is just toxic.

If you have a pc set up a macro with a zoom in zoom out button that is on a continuous loop go to Helvetia and die and when clicking respawn activate your macros and leave it afk you still get rewards and no one can do anything about it.😊 people have jobs, family’s and don’t sit at their computer all day especially with these drop rates

Honestly I don't blame afkers. After doing over 80 fastnachts and only getting a regular alien mask as a rare, I started asking during work and sleep too. The drop rates are so abysmal, and the event is so easy I can solo it as a new level 90. I participate when playing but fuck these drop rates damn right I'm asking through work and sleep.
Funny thing is I been in a mostly AFK lobby and only me and ONE OTHER PERSON did the WHOLE event. Just us. We didn’t care about the AFK cause the event is EASY 🤡

I'd totally forgotten about the bloatfly syringer! I've had one for years but haven't used it in a looong time. I guess the AFKers aren't worth the effort but I'll def be taking my syringer out for some giggles.

I play as much as I can. Having kids and a full time job makes playing all day difficult. I AFK as often as possible and I always will, l am as we speak. The amount of time the game crashes, freezes or the robots glitch, I think bethesda should give us 2 free masks every season. Anyway it makes me happy knowing that something as simple as AFKing drives people up the wall. 😂
I think like others are saying that even dead the afks will still get rewards if the even happens, looks like nuke is the only option unless Bethestha would actually care and do afk something that could be reported.
Other option I had seen is attacking the camp of players who are afk. Since they are basically announcing they aren't available to defend it.

These anti afkers lol i activity afk while actually playing just to laugh at the lot of you when i get my 7th glowing mask. I afk openly and proudly now on the roof eating popcorn and i encourage others to do the same!
There is no need to kill them because it is a waste of time to AFK, and AFKers are killing themselves with boredom instead. If AFK is sooo effective, why are so many players still playing this event after 5 years? That's because a majority of players still haven't got all the masks. And that's because the probability is too low to get them all even if you play them all 336 times (24 times per day times 14 days). You need about 959 tries to get the 5 new rare masks, and 1536 tries to get all 21. This event is pretty much designed to NEVER let you get all the masks. That's how Bethesda keeps people playing.

Being mad at someone in a video game. Reminds me of being mad at someone who has nicer clothes or car than you! When all that's stopping you is you, nothing stopping you from doing same. Also it really is just different type of online bullying. Just change servers and you'll be fine.
There's another method that works with this one. Luring enemies in that you have pre'loaded with a bloatfly or luring in an enemy, shooting them with the syringe, and popping them. Either way you get the bloatfly in and attacking but you don't need assistance doing it. It's the solo method for killing AFK'ers with enemy creatures, and it worked VERY well. I got around 50 AFK'ers killed that way during the last weekend of Fasnacht, including my wife a couple of times.
Where are you luring them from? There’s the two scorched down the street, but everything else I know of is a bit of a hike.
@@Gamer_Aviator There's them, but over by the church and up the hill random enemies spawn.The rest are a bit of a walk, but not too bad. Arktos Pharma, greg's Mine Supply, Horizon's Rest, and the lookout tower. Some enemies are easier to lure than others, like super mutants and bloatflies never seem to give up the chase while others it's easier to just turn to bloatflies and get those to follow. The robots don't take the bloatflies, but the handies and eyebots will follow for a while.
I started luring things in a couple of days before this video, and this made it a lot easier.

I afk some and play a lot. My first Fasnacht mask was given to me ony first halloween playing the game when i came across a bunch of players camps around the wayward who were giving stuff to players who came to their camp for trick or treating and that is what i will be doing this year with extra masks I get.....including any extra glowing ones.
I afk timed events when I can because I have a job unlike the losers that take issue with people doing it, Bethesda lowers the drop rates to 0.23% for rares and nasally mouth breathers want to act like we do it to mess with them and get salty over it

I've never run the event where there wasn't a lot of other players participating and often making the event too easy. I don't see the fun in akf but they haven't been in the way so I'm not bothered at all by them

It depends. If you kill someone while the event is active they automatically respawn, and if they happen to have their analog stick pulled to the side, they will spin and you can push spinning players outside the event zone so they don't get rewards. Is it toxic? Maybe, but it's their fault for going afk in a way that can backfire.

I've also heard Afk players can also eat rads til death and lay there on the respawn screen til the server shuts down....still collecting rewards with the photo mode spin method.

But for those of you expecting to use this or nukes to foil people afk'ing fasnacht, just be aware that by killing them you are not hindering them at all, in fact you are helping them afk!
When they get killed they don't respawn, they just get knocked, at this point they are still eligable for rewards, and are now totally invulnerable to both being kiled (until they hit that spawn button) any further and disconnection due to inactivity.
So if you're after revenge, just don't bother, you'll just make it worse. You're better off organising with everyone there to abandon that server and leave them unfullfilled.
I always saw the NUKE as a means to tell others that "WARNING - AFKers Be AFKing, carry at your own risk."
Which is fair, Im up all day carriyng people, I want to AFK all night. If I get disconnected, Nuked, Game Crash, or no one completes the mission cause everyone is AFK, that is the additional RNG I take.
I believe this is the way fallout should be.
Ive taken to being afk as I've missed out on probably 25-30 reward mask as i get disconnected or freeze so frequently usually when the supers appear
I just reward the non-afk participants with Berry Mentats after the event.
I've been happy seeing all the nukes hit the event. It's been really easy to get my nuked flowers
First, you make a video on how to afk and talk in comments talk about how you are pro afk. After that video you get backlash from all the complainers and crybabies that love nothing more than policing how others choose to play the game. To appease them, you make an anti afk video to play both sides and try not to lose subscribers because that is all you care about. You really showed your colors on this video. Unsubbed.
At least play an instrument if you do afk so it helps the event. I don't see why it bothers people. I do it a little bit just because I work so much.

I just nuke Helvetia. Everyone who is actually playing hops to a different server, so the server becomes a bunch of afk people sitting in a church getting no rewards because there is no one actually doing the event.
I play during the day and I AFK at night as I sleep. Doing so allowed me to get all the "Glowing Masks". I still run the event in hopes to get duplicates for my wife's collection. It is my job to do whatever it takes to acquire the rewards and it's everyone else's job to try and stop me. As they say, "It's all fair in love and war!". I'm fairly sure that this includes Fallout 76. It's only digital death and it can be fun to find clever ways like this to smite thy freeloaders. ;)
From what I understand there is no rule against afking but there is actually a rule against griefing so I guess choose your poison?

Well it's technically not griefing since the game still has pvp components. Players who afk know they are taking a risk
It is actually griefing through that persons actions and intent to another player whether it’s PvP or not (i.e. Using the environment in a way to harass other players).
Yeah but their is no grief to be experienced since they don't even know what happened at the moment. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the afk people. Hell I do it when I can't actively play, but I also wouldn't get upset if someone managed to outplay me. Which is why when I afk I use the respawn method to avoid interruptions, barring a game crash.

No…people are going to nuke Helvetia anyway. This gives them another option that’s more surgical, so if they want to only target AFK players, the rest of people can run the event in peace. It’s about not dropping a nuke, but so few people got that. The funniest part is that DEAD PLAYERS STILL GET THE REWARDS! They’re still AFK until they respawn, so no AFK player gets hurt by this at all. Go watch our video Fasnacht and the Furious. Moreover, in order for the bloatfly strategy to work, those who hate AFK players have to actually kill THEMSELVES as well. You don’t see the irony?
All you have to do to avoid this is wear an armor set that damages attackers or have the mutation that shocks attackers, and run a full health build.
Use dodgy with a vampire weapon for some reason it carries the effect of the legendary you use so you get a 2% HP Regen per hit taken. Insane.

theres scorched in the building to the right of the frog spawn though that will follow you back to main street (and in my case consistently attack your camp if you put it on the hill behind the frogs spawn), getting them up stairs may be tricky though. I don't mind the afkers though, considering the drop rates I kinda dont blame them honestly, if you only have a couple hours of game time a day thats only 2 tries at getting that churn or a glowy mask, it gets downright discouraging when you get yet another jester mask and confetti pile plan, so I just leave them be.

I "killed" an AFK player using the two Scorched in the Helvetia house close to the music instruments.
I have to go AFK, not really beause I'm still observing, but if there is more than 15 players I only observe if they need help because of a lot of AFK players. I help with the beginning but I wait unless there aren't many fighting, than I jump in. Some player on my team gave me crap about being AFK, despite 10 people fighting. I try to help and get kicked from the game. I join the team back in the same lobby but miss the event. Still get accused of leaving intentionally. I left cordially and blocked them but some of us have old systems and we can't join without getting kicked. If there's only 13 players I'm usually good, but more people blasting in close quarters overloads my system and kicks me.
Calm yourself. Do the dead afk method they mention in the video. I’m not going to bc it’s unlikely I get killed by someone anyways.

Im happy they got new mask but they brought fasnacht back way to fast. We had it like 4 months ago. Im over it

That’s an interesting response. You want to punish us because you feel justified by AFKing. If you watch our videos, you know that we also AFK and that we not only have videos on how to do it and why but also how to survive getting nuked (which we also say in this video will make you immune to the bloatfly tactic). This video isn’t about how to kill AFK players. It’s about how to kill AFK players without dropping a nuke. People are going to kill AFK players anyway. If we can get them to do it surgically, then it leaves the event un-nuked for others to enjoy. If you follow our strategy in Fasnacht and the Furious, you will be unaffected by this or anything else. If someone follows the bloatfly strategy, then they have to also kill themselves. Don’t you see the irony? The best part is that if someone kills you while AFK, you stay AFK and still get the rewards.
Unsubscribing from our channel doesn’t hurt us any more than getting bloatflied hurts you. We will continue to make content that challenges people’s perception, ethics, and emotions and that helps make the game more interesting for everyone.

Using healing perk for flamers and stop crying because people can't sit at home all day the same as you can.
I really don't have a problem with people who afk. I don't have a problem with people who nuke the area of an event, makes it more fun to me. The problem I see with people who afk is server space.
I have made alot of friends on Fallout 76 and we like playing on the same team. Yet private servers don't offer the fun of other players and what they do, like nuking areas. So when people afk they take up server space.
You may say, just play on another server. I offer you this problem with that option. Your camp will not show up all the time on different servers. That would be because someone else's camp or tent is in the same area already. Thus, just switching to another server isn't always an option.
I don't know how to fix this problem or if there is a fix. I have even went afk once or twice. The community of 76 is a great place, there are the few bad apples but still great. Maybe another rule unwritten rule of 76 could be something like: if there are 5 afk already jump servers. I mean if you just going afk your camp shouldn't matter where it is. Idk, just an idea. I would be ok with it.
Sometimes you have parent duties eg cooking and not wanting food to burn so I think if it only for a brief moment is understandable
I've just started experimenting with syringers (that sounds bad...), and I had to server hop three times yesterday to find a Fassnacht event not clogged up with afkers, so this does appeal to me. 😂
Go ahead and kill me while i afk because i have a life that needs to be lived outside of playing the game (work, family, etc.) It only wastes your time. I still get my rewards and you help me because my food stops spoiling. 😂 i feel no guilt afk'ing to get stuff in a game that has a very small event play time window with super rare rewards.
This is way better than nuking imo. Since they get the loot if they’re dead or not at least your only affecting the player AFK. Instead of ruining the event for low level players wanting to do it. Just don’t AFK with junk and everyone’s happy.
This is quite inventive also funny. good video. love the chemistry. i have been killed being AFK in this event by a nuke. also caught someone leading a hound to my in that building. i want to be clear i dont normally afk i think its a lazy run of the events however i did this run solid for a week every waking moment i could only AFK when eating or running errands and got nothing but commons and confetti plans, its a horrible event for drop rates of anything decent so for the past couple of nights i leave my system on and my Character spinning in spot while i sleep and i finally managed to get a decent mask and the churn. if the loot pool wasnt so big with horrible rates it prob wouldnt need people to afk to get a good item.
AFKers, just die in event zone before or after the event. Then just go afk on the select spawn location screen. Profit. 😊

Honestly, you can tell who the afk-ing socialist commies are in the comment section. They want everything for free, while others do all the work. This game, just like all gaming, is an elective activity. It is not required... You are telling everyone that you believe you are entitled and special, that your time is more valuable then everyone's, and you deserve all the rewards, with zero effort on your part to gain said rewards. Then you blame real world duties on your lack of effort and poor time management. Because again, you feel your real life duties are more important then every other adult on this planet who has real world duties. Your claim is "But I need those glowing rare silly masks!!!". So you piss on others people's time investment, expect others who put the effort in, who took time out of their day to run the event, just so you can poach their invested effort and time. Then you turn around and sell (At astro prices) all the other masks and plans you had doubles of, keeping the caps... If you can't see how much of a entitled disrespectful sob you are for defending afk actions, then there is no hope for you. Also, just like this game, reading the comments is an elective, and you can tell which sobs who choose not to read the comments because it's too much work to read past seven words. Effort dictates the rewards. No effort means you can go pound sand.
A few days ago I was at fasnacht and there was this dude who had a ghoul with him and he wasnt killing it then I got what he was doing he was herding it killing afkers i helped him it was hilarious.
It was prob me lmao if your on PSN I usually move them with my chainsaw out of the event then go get the ghouls up the hill and lead them to the lamb 🐑

And at the end the afk player will return and be glad the server or game didn't crash while being asleep
So that's why all the other events have only 1-2 people participating. I was too stupid to realize most of the server is afk in Helvetia😅
I have next to zero issue with AFK players (Just the selfish part of me that feels a little off about people benefiting from other people doing the work), but this might be worthwhile to use against those players who sit AFK at the donation box taking everything people put in there.
Sadly it requires me to have friends to work. 😅
I hate this event so much due to all the AFK.
It's NOT about running the event, it's about the fact you have EVERY server with 15+ AFK leaving less than 10 slots on servers for people to even play the game.
It RUINS SERVERS with how many are AFK because there's only 24 max slots on servers.
The fact nobody thinks about this is a great example of how thoughtless and narcissistic most people are today.
I like to take the, give one take one approach. I will run the event and than find a spinning afk person and push them oustide the event area which prevents, them from earning rewards than I take their spot. I even pushed one guy up to the overseer's house so he would be super confused when he got back on.

Never understood the pvp aspect only time I’ve died from someone was when I would accidentally open something locked and get a bounty, I’ve never seen anyone actually try to fight anyone
