I am in a TOXIC job that has left me burnt out. Now I can't get new work even bomb an interview because the guy mentioned it's stressful. I am triggered so much because my current job said to me that my job is supposed to be stressful. That is just not true. I am to a point of just quitting for my mental health but I don't think financially this will ever work.
Sorry to hear that, as someone who's been through that I know what you mean. Most jobs have an element of stress something that can help is asking questions in the interview stage to see what the culture and expectations of the company is like. Also looking at employee reviews on websites like Glassdoor too.
@@sophiabumbrey5301 sorry to hear that, I was able to finally get new work but I never got the break and eventually the new work took a turn so it's back to feeling anxious. Hopefully we both can find better careers or can just do what we enjoy and make money off those things. That is what I am working towards.
I’m a disabled African American woman and have been at my current job almost 5 years. Only once have I gotten “Employee of the Month”, and even then, I couldn’t use my reward because it was for a person who had a vehicle. When I request accommodations, I have been rejected. I’m a Christian, and it’s tough finding employment when I feel like I need to always be obedient to God. I don’t understand why He would want me to continue working for a low wage at a company that poorly represents Him (I work for a prosperity preacher TV show). The only good things about my employer are my immediate bosses (I’d work for them for the rest of my life, if possible), the medical benefits, and having weekends off. But the negative things outweigh those positives. Not to mention, the reviews people have left about my employer (previous coworkers ). I’ve been bullied and told “We care about you” so many times, but it’s tough to leave when my savings are depleted. And when inflation hit, they refuse to give us raises to help with our expenses. I’m over it.
My latest job ..... I'm getting burned out... its getting to the point that i dont wanna work there anymore... i work at a grocery store ... the people aren't bad... its several workers that doesn't do their job.... and i get work piled on..and I'm out pushing carts without any help and its getting Old... and my co worker i work with doesn't do his work.. my energy drains when i work with him .. i also get tired of doing the same cleaning every morning... I'm getting burned out
We had three women who found it challenging to get into a meat cutters apprenticeship. One quit because secretly I think it was because she was too short. Two others threatened to quit The threat to quit actually was a motivating factor for them (corporate) to get them into the program. So one guy during her interview of interest the supervisor said “you’re obliterating a man’s world”
I'm currently dealing with this as well. I actually had to call that person out on it. My suggestion is to try to keep your distance as much as possible unless you absolutely have to deal with said person. In the meantime try looking for something else, it never get better only worsen. Hope this helps 🙏🏽
Read company reviews prior to applying helps too.
That definitely does help, especially with big companies.
Agree💯
Every job has something toxic about it. Believe me...the last job I had? It was a nightmare!
Well done! You described the workplace I just quit, 7 out of 7 = TOXIC!

I took a 4 months mental break from work and it was needed
I'm on a mental break now but without pay. This is horrible I'm the victim, and suffering.

If you don’t get promotion in two years. Start looking elsewhere
How do you get away from a complainer that's on you team? Thanks 😊❤
