- My buddy Tom @hondajesuslol has been building his 8th gen Honda civic for many years now. After an unfortunate ending last season with a just shy of 300whp NA k24 HIGH COMP setup, he finally decided to go back to the dark side of boost and man oh man what a good decision! This thing is an absolute riot!!! Big shout out to him for completing his dream build through all the stress and setbacks during the process. look out for this wild 8th gen on a street near you!!!

Hahaha yup! We’re all old now and understand having all your neighbors hate you isn’t worth it unfortunately! They’ve all been cool with all the car stuff that does go down too!

This is what I want my cousin to do with his 8th gen si but he is stuck in his ricer ways . His first mods have been some interior lighting and those quick release front bumper clips things lol other than that it is bone stock
Engine mods are pricey and labor intensive lol You gotta know what you’re doing or pay someone who does.

whats the full build list
Quick question how hot does your engine bay get? I got a log manifold on my 2011 si with a GT3582 and gets pretty warm under the hood have you had any problems with melting anything?
The log manifold could definitely be playing a part in that I’ve been told!
@@DabSedan IAT 80-95 Coolant temps 185-200 not bad I have everything pretty well heat wrapped coated etc not enough room for side mount tried it but too much relocation.

I done seem to have much of a problem. Intake temps stay at 10-15 above ambient when it's hot as balls out and match ambient when it's below 80f
I am planning on a vented hood as I'm sure the power I want to be at next year will make shit stupid hot lol

It’s taken all apart right now with a new engine build haha. Shooting for 700whp this season with 1000hp capable!! Stay posted for new videos come late April!

Clean build, doesn't move like 480WHP though.
Dyno sheets don’t lie, and this was on a low reading dyno dynamics.. watch my other video and you can see us racing it against hellcats etc…
Nice build, what clutch is it running?
I know it’s a spec clutch, and a step below their twin disc. It has a great pedal feel and is very driveable! Would definitely recommend. I have the spec twin disk in my g and have loved it/had great success as well
probably an act stage 4, based off of the act hood sticker

This just sold me on a turbo build. Is it worth building an SI with 150k on it? I know engines are cheap but all the body work and suspension and even tranny?
Yes! Keep the boost a little lower keeping it under 500whp and you’ll have a blast!
