I agree this is a great video for people like me interested in turbo charging fg2/fa5. Also gives a much better idea of the amount of work to be done even after turbo install. Tuning is something I've always wanted to learn
I’m getting ready to fully build my fg2 and throw a PRL turbo kit on. I’d like to get 650-750. I went kraftwerks first but deciding to go turbo and with a fully built trans.
@@TheVincster I haven’t went that route yet. I am still in process of going turbo though. Just not prl. Went with a sidewinder manifold. Now getting the block built and going with some DC cams. Super tech valve spring kit. And like I said aiming for 6-7.

This car is still ripping! It depends on several factors! Good parts, good install, solid maintenance, and a solid safe tune and it will last with proper care!
Nice man, thanks for the reply! I’m in the market for a new car and I was considering a fiesta st but for around the same price, I could prob buy one of these and turbo it sooo idk😂
Mind me asking what turbo was used on this car? I’m picking up a PRL kit for 2700$ this weekend. Did the car have an RSX type oil pump? I’d like to achieve the same power this car did.
I thought they said somewhere near the beginning of the video the type it was? Thought I heard PRL as well, could be mistaken. $2,700 is the cost new I’m assuming? About how much would it cost to get it installed, $1,500? Then what $300 more for a custom tune like this?
Only Honda lol best motor in the world. With that much psi on a stock block wouldn’t it be less reliable because of that stress you’re putting on the engine because I have an 8th gen si as well and want to boost it but idk if I want to build a block or just go straight to buying a turbo kit
I would like to hear the expert opinion on this as well. I mean obviously there’s a lot more stress on the motor, just not sure how bad of an idea it would be to keep everything stock with all that boost.
@@rick15666 right because I know no matter what when you boost an engine there’s always going to be more stress but I would love to boost my stock block around 10psi and just daily it for a couple of years without having to buy new pistons and rods and crank
