Replacing the controller in the Lasermatic MK2

- If you are looking to replace your control board on your MK2, this video is for you. If it is broken or you just want to upgrade to the new v1.3 board, here is how you do it. I am not a pro, attempt at your own risk.

Clack, thanks for the board update, however because of this video I checked my MK2 board and mine is currently 1.3

How new is your machine, getting ready to buy one from the preorder they have right now.

Justin, I received my mk2 about 45 days ago. I had to wait a week before shipping, that took a week to get to Missouri, mine came in two boxes, about three days apart. FedEx if I recall

The machine is in one box and the laser is in box 2

Be very careful when disconnecting the WiFi antenna from the board. I though I was and still popped the connector off the new board.
Yes, they can be a pain. I hate them in laptops, it usually is much more difficult to reconnect without breaking anything.
For the antenna could it have just been unplugged from the board?
It could have, I was gonna put the new one on while I was working. Just in case.
You could take the bottom panel out to maybe allow your hand to come from a different angle?
I ain’t that flexible… that one post might not have been a bad idea
@@TheClackShack I was just thinking maybe take the panel off then you could pull machine forward on table then have a hand from top and one going under and thru?
Taking the post off would probably have made the biggest difference, just wasn't sure how that was attached.
@@justinbanks2380 looks like a single screw from the bottom. It wasn’t bad coming over the top. A matter of preference I guess

I would imagine it is similar, the wiring could be slightly different. Take photos.
Roly has a replacement board listet for the 10 in their shop. 75$ , but currently sold out. Looks identical.
