    When in doubt when I’m cleaning stuff near sensitive electronics, I spray the cleaner on my rag then wipe down the surfaces.

    Your best guess as to how many work hours or projects between cleanings. whether recommended or just guessing as to how often is needed.
    Ive cleaned mine once and it was dirty after a dozen or so projects plus jigs and tests. It wasnt bad but the underside was kinda nasty

      20 ish cutting boards, some leather projects and many testing burns. I also cut out a sheet of wooden coins yesterday. More than I probably should have before cleaning... lol

    Set a magnet on the machine for the screws, it should help.

    Great video showing process of cleaning.
    I've never seen a video before showing the process before.
    I'm pretty sure I'll be getting this machine.
    Do they have a hidden place to order different laser modules?
    Currently 10 and 20 are only versions available. I think the 20 will be good enough for me, but curious if in future could upgrade the head. (Or if they have any plans to release an Infrared module for metal)

      The machine is switchable. They seem to be selling out of the 30 watt models pretty fast.

    I have a Xtool D1 pro 10 watt and rotary arriving Tuesday. I gave up on my Genmitsu Lc40. But I see the 10 with rotary this brand was not much more money.
    I wonder if this would have been a better choice. I am a complete beginner. Greg

      If you needed an enclosure it would have. Both lasers are good machines

      As you mentioned, alignment of the bed and rotary would be easier. As well as having a camera. And seems like everything is contained in the enclosure. I figured it would be easier as a beginner.

    If you remove the honey Combe as it need to be cleaned anyway it makes it much easier to cleann

    I'm afraid of stripping screw. Are replacements available?

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  8 місяців тому

      Typically, if you strip the threads, it will be the threads in the hole before the screw. Screws are steel and chassis is aluminum. Just be careful..

    I noticed that when you move the gantry, the fan at the rear spins. Is this the generation of electricity that you mentioned earlier?

    What PSI do you have your compressor set on when spraying inside the module. I don't want to damage anything by have too much air blasting away. Thanks

      My shop air is set to around 50psi

    The only annoying thing was definitely that one screw on the bottom right lol. It's so easy to cross-thread it if you're not careful.

      Yea, I hear that they may make changes. Just take your time with it.

    Im on the fence between the 30w and the 20w. Do you think there is a big enough difference to get the 30w over the 20w. I wouldn't be cutting more then 3/8" at most. mostly 1/4 and 1/8th.

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  8 місяців тому +1

      You can do most jobs with either. Time would be the only difference.
