I bought a Luba 2 and Orion X7 Plus and tested them side by side this summer 2024. The Luba 2 software is more refined by early September 2024, opposite what I thought I would see. The Luba has a much more robust satellite RTK system. The Orion X7 lost signal more often and easily. I have a plush / thick lawn of Kentucky Bluegrass mowed at 3" in height. The Orion X7 would not mow well leaving uncut blades all over the lawn. I tried all mower speed settings and mow width settings with poor results. The Luba 2 cut much better. I contacted customer support before purchasing the Orion X7 with several questions on the mower's abilities. They basically lied about how close the mower will mow against edging and walls. After collisions with walls, falling off the street curb, customer service told me not to program closer than 6" to any boundary. The Orion leaves strips of un-cut grass between zones. Customer service said that was a known issue. The Orion does turn sharper than the Luba 2. I do not think the Orion X7 is ready for purchase yet. The claim to have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, but they will not honor that.

The same thing happened to my Luba. Somehow grass was blowing back under the blade deck and being compacted like a bale of hay. It was causing a raise/lower error of the deck. Once cleaned out, it worked without error.
I called Sunseeker and asked them if the battery is replaceable by the owner of the unit and they said yes. I currently have a Dreame A1 mower and Dreame said they will not allow their users to replace the battery. The mower needs sent back to them. I recently checked my Dreame A1 mower and it is possible for the owner to replace the battery. The battery is easily accessible and has your typical quick disconnect to change out the battery. I am not sure why Dreame has this policy and it is making me think twice about keeping the mower. Though I do really like it otherwise. It is interesting that the battery on the Orion looks exactly like the Dreame A1 battery and it the same voltage and Ah, so maybe I could by an Orion battery for my Dreame if needed? I know you tested a Dreame. I wonder if you could try the Orion battery in the Dreame? See if the connectors match up and the battery fits in the carpartment? Thanks for your video.
That is interesting why Dreame would require the mower to be sent back. It is not surprising that the two mowers have virtually the same battery. I’m sure these mower manufacturers are sourcing their batteries from the same company.
Wouldn't the grass make the deck even heavier, so it could more easily lower, and not the other way around? or does the grass impede the lever mechanism somehow? The battery is the same as is used by other Sunseekers mowers it seems, and I was able to find it for sale online.
Yes the grass does make the deck heavier but it was also packed very tightly into the springs and linkage. Can you send a link to the battery you found?
I would check out the SunSeeker website for a dealer locator. It might not be available for some time as this is a very new product and they are in the middle of their rollout.

Battery performance is really bad. Although their website says 0.75 acres, it's not even doing 0.06 acres in a single charge.
I have mine scheduled to start cutting everyday at 10:30am. It takes two days to cut 0.50 acres. A battery or charging improvement would be welcome.
