Mower now does not mow until it reaches the zone where it will cut. Customer service as you said is great and any remaining bugs seem to get fixed promptly. Good video. I have had my Orion Plus 4 months and I have seen excellent progress with bugs. Very few now.
4:39 Thanks for the video. What kind of grass do you have? Typical Wisconsin cool season grasses do best at 3.5"-4" cut height. 2.2" is usually best for warm season grasses.
That is generally not true. Kbg can perform well anywhere from a half inch to 3", rye is the same. Fine fescue can be cut very short. Bentgrass is terrible cut any taller than 1". Even fescue isn't "best" at 4". I have a video that goes in depth on mow height and the physiological impacts that it has. The short answer is that turf quality gets worse the taller you mow but ability to withstand stress gets a little better. Certain types of disease pressure are also worse when mowing taller.
@@JasonSeiberlich Which video is that? I couldn't find it just quickly glancing at video titles. I'll have to watch it - you're telling me everything I've ever been told/read is wrong :-) What's the ideal height for Tall Fescue?
I would suggest not buying this mower until they work out all of the bugs. Right now, it leaves a row of uncut grass between zones. It leaves over a 6" gap between the mower and the edging or home walls. It loses satellite signals constantly. These robotic mowers need another couple of years of development before buying one. Just too many bugs.
I have had mine for 4 months, never lost RTK or satellite signal and I have a very shady lawn , if fact one of the strong points of this mower vs others. Yes there were bugs initially as you would expect from new technology but customer service is great and very few bugs are left. I would recommend this mower as it is only going to get better but even now very good.

Great video....!
Thank you.

Not wrong, inherently. Just not the whole story. I'll grab the link here in a second.

Lard at yarge. Doh!
Thought it was "large ass yard".
"subtle flex I'm better than you" 🤣
Wish it went lower.
True. But, 0.8" is pretty low. Once they fix the travel issue I'll send the side yard down to the bottom over time to see what it looks like.
@@JasonSeiberlich I mow at 1/2 inch and lower.

I have had none of these issues. But, yes. You are correct.
I have the Orion X7 and I haven’t had those issues. And a new app update just came out to make it more efficient.
