I initially thought it didn’t work for me until I started leaving it on my skin a little longer during my wash and OMG.. it works wonders.. I noticed a change in my skin after just 1 week. Cerave SA cleaner is definitely one of the keys to glass skin.

I struggle with genic acne 😔 years and years worth of dermatology appointments .. to know finally 15years later I have it under control for what ever reasons! TBH looking back my Acne wasn't terrible as it felt living that moment. So weird right!? But now i haven't had acne for over 2years!!

I have normal to oily/combination skin, and I got the Cerave Sa renewing cleanser to combat spots on my face because I have acne prone skin and get breakouts fairly regularly. I used the neutrogena fight and fade toner since lockdown and it helped me clear a lot of acne I had back then but i stopped using it in January and February this year because it was kind of scarce in my region. I was able to get it and I resumed using it alongside the Cerave Sa cleanser. I noticed since using the cleanser that I get these small raised bumps with a white center on my skin (I want to believe they’re whiteheads). They’re in the center of my forehead and on my right cheek and jaw area. I tapered my use down to 3 times a week whilst using the Simple mosturizing face wash but I don’t think my face got better. I just want to know if buying this was a mistake or if it’s going to stop breaking me out at some point.
(For moisturizers I use a Dr rashel vitamin C face cream and the Cosrx advanced snail mucin all in one cream and I’m very consistent with my sunscreen). Should I stop using it all together or do something different??

How do you even know you have an oily skin? Although face is always greasy and I sweat a lot compared to normal human being ( I think).

I've used a face cleanser that contains saisylic acid and my oily face reacted to it.
So sorry about that, cerave SA cleanser is very mild and well balanced.
It could be skin purging. Purging can for up to 2 months . It’s all the pimples under the skin coming to the surface. Ots a good thing and means the product is working. Only after 2 weeks to 2 months can you judge the effectiveness.

To be very honest less is more with skincare
I could recommend a few tips that helped me
I stopped exfoliating my skin everyday. I have been using neutrogena rapid clear toner just 2-3 times a week only at night instead of every night
Get a very good moisturizer that is best for your skin type and use that generously day and night
Invest in a good sunscreen
If you have drier skin or live in cold regions get a good hydrating mist,essence or toner that can be used for both day and night

I think you should go for the salicylic one if you get acne a lot and the regular foaming cleanser if you don’t have acne

Cerave is one of the overhyped products that did absolutely nothing for me despite spending a lot on them
I hear you B, sometimes certain skincare products wouldn’t work for others. For me cerave really helps me with taming my acne down, especially the SA cleanser.
CeraVe works for a majority of people but obviously not 100%, and it’s very inexpensive as far as good skin care goes.
