my dad got me cerave and I was worried that it might not work for my skin type, but after seeing this video it was such a relief to find out that it was perfect for my skin type!! thank you for making this, I always do research and this video is really informing.
Thanks for the video. I've been using the wrong one for years! The foaming one is simply too drying for me even though I do have combination skin with some oily areas, it was way too drying on other areas of my face. I've since switched to the normal hydrating one and had to throw away the foaming one.
Me too! But now I use the cream-to-foam but it kinda doesn’t take off all the oil and I’m debating between using the foaming the morning! Although I had to stop using it bc it stripped my cheeks(which are dry) and it gave me a broken skin barrier and it took 2 weeks to fix so idk!
I love the hydrating cleanser for every day use (especially now that I'm inside all day don't wear make up etc). But a foam cleanser is better for removing makeup etc. So I have two different cleansers to balance it out depending on what I need.

If you have oily skin If you already tend to produce an excess of sebum, Moy says you'll want to avoid cleansers that are packed with moisturizers (such as petrolatum) or have a greasy feel to them as to not over-hydrate.
Well its up to you really, I have super oily skin and I use the hydrating one in the morning and the sa one at night, because I find that if I overdo it with the sa one my skin becomes even oilier and I get more acne. My question is when you use the SA Cleanser for your routine, you dont need to use Exfoliator? Or if I use The ordinary SA I dont need to use SA Cleanser? Hope u response😊😊 thanks this is very informative😊😊
It depends on how much your skin is used to SA and how much it really needs. In a cleanser you remove the product right away but an exfoliator is left for the night and penetrates more into the skin

Great video! I read that the salicylic acid is used as a preservative in the hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser, which is why it’s not advertised as an active.

(BREYLEE ACNE TREATMENT FACIAL CLEANSER)
IT has both of the ingredients tea tree oil and salicylic acid
And also dont touch ur face use facial brushes try to wash ur face every time atleast 40second straight
And use some good syrums
Avoid any brand tht uses fragrance in their products
And if u want good facial. Scrub
Try (st lves ) blackhead clearing scrub

I use the hydrating facial cleanser and it doesn't even budge my foundation, so from my experience I wouldn't recommend it as a good makeup removing product. Def double cleanse with that one or you'll have product left on your skin
If you guys don’t know what skin type u are then just grab water and wash ur face with it then let it sit for a few then feel your face if it’s dry like really dry then ur dry skin type then if it’s oily-ish then ur oily if it’s just regularly dry then ur normal
I'm here to learn about skincare but ended up falling in love with the way you speak, your voice is so calming😊
I have oily skin and I'm torn between trying the cream to foam SA cleanser and the original SA cleanser! It's oily to combo but I live in a quite dry climate. Plus I use cerave's benzoyl peroxide cream to foam cleanser and my skin loves it!

my dad got me cerave and I was worried that it might not work for my skin type, but after seeing this video it was such a relief to find out that it was perfect for my skin type!! thank you for making this, I always do research and this video is really informing.
hey how did it work for you ? i’m curious lol
Has the hydrating cleanser helped with your acne? (If you had any in the first place) just wondering because I’m using that one and I can’t tell if I’m seeing results! Be as honest as possible aha
@@kaylynnveniot5874 well I had specific zits on my forehead , cheeks and chin with puss that came and go.. ( so not acne all over my face). I also had and still have some acne scars bc I used to pick them. I've been using Cerave and the ordinary products and I don't get any zits theast couple of months or when I get they go away very quickly. So tbh I'm not sure if it's the soap or he combination of products I'm using but it works for me. ( I have combination skin i think).
I don't know if that helps.
i literally have tried three out of the four cleansers in this video and i LOVE the foaming i have combo skin. where i live the weather csn be like 60 degrees one day and then like two days later snow!! so my skin changes a lot and i just started using the foaming one but i pefer it to the other ones from cerve. i like it because i love the clean feeling from it. so if you have combo skin but your skin changes a lot due to weather go with the foaming one. i thought i would share this mostly because i really have tried a lot of cleanser and watched a ton of videos and it can be very overwhelming so i thought maybe i could hwep at least one person.
Thank you♥️
It helps. Bless
Thank you so much!!!!
This is such a perfect video, thank you!!
It’s so informative and explained so well...it’s clear but still very in-depth. Its also the perfect length cause it’s under 15mins but still long enough to get all the info. I didn’t even struggle to pay attention and your voice is so calming I wasn’t once tempted to speed up the playback😂

i have combo (oily t-zone and dry outer cheeks), sensitive skin, textured skin (little bumps everywhere), and blackheads + clogged pores 😕😕
i did try the foaming cleanser a longggg time ago and it made my skin bad. does anyone know which one should i use? 😞😞
i struggle w that too and in thinking w buying foaming cleanser..... is this a sign not to buy it 😭
Okay im really taird someone say renewing SA is better for combo skin someone say foaming factional cleaners is better and you say hydrating cream to foam cleaners is better ! what should i have to do ?? My skin is combo T zone and acne please answer me ❤
can i use sa cleanser with cerave foaming cleanser, i have combo skin... And imma add moisturizer lotion too
Am I the only guy here lol? Anyways, thank youuuu, couldn’t figure out what the difference was between them all 🙏
If we use the SA cleanser, can we still after that use salicylic acid (or other serums that exfoliate such as the one from Paulas Choice that you showed) in our routine or it would be too much? I don't know which one to get between the 2 gel ones. Thanks
I would just do the regular foaming one if you have an additional salicylic acid serum, better safe than sorry

I don't understand something, I use the foaming cleanser and after I wash it off I apply hyaluronic acid and vitamin C in the morning. You said there is a problem using niacinamide with vitamin C, so is that a problem? :(
hello. Is it okay to use the SA cerave at night routine
and Cerave Hydrating Facial cleanser at morning time routine??
Wait for the answer too😁
Someone else said SA morning and hydrating cleanser night and she said it was okay to do this. I would honestly do it the way you've said it
The foaming one was fine, abit drying. The SA one was drying as HELL and burned my eyes. The hydrating one irritated my skin and broke me out all over, felt hydrating but probably because it wasn’t cleaning anything. The cream to foam is lovely!
CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser is good?? For extra extra extra sensitive extra dry acni prone skin ??????? Tell me 🥺
Which CeraVe SA one SA smothing or SA renewing???
I’ve been using the SA cleanser at night time for several months now. I leave it on for a couple of minutes before rinsing. Recently also added the foaming cleanser into my regimen. Mostly using it as a day time cleanser after waking up in the morning, but I don’t use it everyday, maybe every other day
Also Hi from Maldives
Is this regimen working for you?
@@ALE-vs9zp I switched the Cerave SA cleanser to Inkey List SA cleanser. Day time still foaming cleanser. No issues. Also started using Paulas Choice 2% SA gel (leave on product) over the nose at night time to tackle sebaceous filament issues. I believe it’s working, yes.
@@mafxarr8776 may I ask why did u swith from cerave sa to Inkey list sa cleanser? I also use the cerave one and was wondering if u found the inkey one better
I have the foaming cleanser as well but im not sure if I want to get the BHA paula choice or cerave SA cleanser for my black heads, im 16 but I really want to get rid of the blackheads off my nose.
Cathy! I think I missed this, but which cleanser would you recommend for me who is just starting Roaccutane? I had oily skin obviously but I know it will go dry!?
Can I use the CeraVe SA cleanser once every day? I've heard it is really stripping for even oily skin to use every day. I would be very helpful if someone could give me some idea on this :)
For real! I don’t want to damage my skin
You look like rm on bts hahahha
I just bought one of those and I realized I bought the wrong kind for me ughhhhhh
Why was she smiling the entire video 😭
Can I use the hydrating cleanser on oily skin in the morning and the sa cleanser at night
If you have oily skin
If you already tend to produce an excess of sebum, Moy says you'll want to avoid cleansers that are packed with moisturizers (such as petrolatum) or have a greasy feel to them as to not over-hydrate.

Well its up to you really, I have super oily skin and I use the hydrating one in the morning and the sa one at night, because I find that if I overdo it with the sa one my skin becomes even oilier and I get more acne. I don't feel the need to completely wash off all of the natural oils in the morning its too stripping. So don't just take her word for it use your own intuition and figure out a routine that works best for your unique skin.
i still don't know what my skin type is help 👹👹
Kinda wish they did a color coded label seal rather than just the green.
I know I'm dumb but I still don't get which one is best for me :D My t zone is oily/greasy, and my cheeks are pretty normal, maybe sometimes dry. So which one is the best? :o

Im using CERAVR SA cleanser with paula’s choice bha/sa exfoliant.I was hesitant at first (cause its both active ingredients ).
i incorporated paula’s choice every other day. i was surprised that it worked for me. So im trying now to incorporate paula’s choice everyday so far im loving the results.. hopefully it will go well.
This is such an old video but can you use the salicylic acid cleanser every day??
I used to live in Brazil, in one of the most hot regions, right in the tropical area. It was hot and humid, and there my skin was oily. Now I live in Oregon, and my skin has become "normal" to "combo", but depending on the cleanser that I use, it gets pretty dry.
Once the temperature drops down, my skin becomes really dry. So yes, your environment can be the chooser of your skin type 😂
I didn’t know there was a new foaming hydrating cleanser, 😮✨ lemme go buy it 🏃♀️
thank you for making these videos they help out a lot!
Thanks for saying that!! So happy to read that! 😍🥰
Is cerava SA gentle enough for teenagers skin?
What would you recommend for a combo of oily and sensitive skin? For acne?

woah the SA cleanser has niacinimide in it?! So it’s good for hyperpigmentation!!

I am a little confused, why the CeraVe SA cleanser advertises as 'dry skin' but this video says its for oily 😭 and vice versa for hydrating cleanser (vid says its dry skin but bottle advertises for oily?)
i know it’s really annoying because it was a big investment for me so i bought the SA since i have dry rough and bumpy skin and now everyone’s saying it’s for oily
@@edenpffen tell me about it! I went out of my way to find it in my local drugstores, and .. they don't even sell it. I have to get it online somehow and I agree, its such an investment 🤦🏻♀️ i hope you find the product that best suits you. The struggle is too real
Omg I’m so glad I found this video and your channel. So I live in a place where it’s so hot and humid. I also have ccs and strawberry skin… and based from what I understood, cerave SA cleanser is the best for those skin problems. However, the hydrating foam to Cleanser also gave salicylic acid, I’m wondering if it’s also good for to use it instead of the SA cleanser? Can you also recommend a toner and moisturizer for me? I’d really appreciate if you can.
What cerave product shall I use? I have balanced skin but I have a few pimples and acne on my forehead. I don’t know which cerave product I should use, rn I use the hydrating cleanser and moisturising lotion. I really need help.
I am considering to start using Cerave and I am just wondering if how long does a bottle last? So that I can buy enough stocks good for 1 year. Thanks in advance to anyone who will reply.

A tip if you have sensitive skin is to only use the sa cleanser on certain parts of your face. I use it on my forehead to deal with closed comedones, on my nose to deal with blackheads and on my chin to deal with maskne.
It also works great on the arms for keratosis pilaris and on the legs to prevent ingrown hair after shaving. And all around great product.
My t-zone is oily and my cheeks are dry, I also have dehydrated skin. What cleanser is best for me?
i’m sooooo happy i found you. my virgo nature LOVES your detailed approach. you are calming, radiant and have so much info to share
I just started using the hydrating cleanser In the mornings and the cream to foam at night. I use the Cerva am moisturizer in morning and Cetaphil hydrating moisturizer at night. I used to use the sa cleanser 2 times a day with the cetaphil currently I’m way happier with my skin
this video was SOOO GOOOD like literally what i was looking for :))
i have oily skin and i accidentally bought the one for dry skin I CANT DO THIS NO MORE
Same ;(
Actually the hydrating one can be good for your skin since oily skin means ur skin is dehydrated
@@bluraspbery she just explained dehydrated means no water in the skin...and dry skin lacks oil. So if u have oily skin and buy products for DRY skin, u ll just add up more oil on ur oily face.

Honestly u u explain this really well... But I'm stuck between foaming cleanser and the SA Cleanser 😭😭 idk I might just get both not cuz I have the money but b/c I feel stuck.
SA Cleanser b/c I have textured skin w/ alot of white head and black heads
But Foaming cleanser b/c I have combo but it's more so oilly skin.. with a dash of sensitive skin😭😭
Also I know you say they both have niacinamide but the one has more than the other ughhh 💀
Yh that's it I've re watched this like what 10 times now I'm getting both 💀✋🏽 - I just really wished there was a mixture of both
Are gel based cleansers effective to use when double cleansing to get rid of any remaining oil from a first oil cleanse? I have heard that you should use a water based cleanser after the oil so wanted to double check. Thanks :)
Hii..I'm just 17 ,Can I apply this product??🥺
Great video! I read that the salicylic acid is used as a preservative in the hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser, which is why it’s not advertised as an active.
Interesting 🤔 ! Salicylic acid can be used as a preservative it’s true... going to do some digging on cosmetic chemistry sites!
Thanks for sharing this info!!!
This is what I found on their website under a question someone asked about the salicylic acid. “Except for active ingredients, information regarding the function and percentage of specific ingredients in our products is proprietary.” Super helpful 🙃
Bro help idk what skin i am. In my body i have sensitive skin but when i see my face i just say “i don’t know” but i think the better for me is the Hydrating cleanser because i have a kinda a bad habbit that i don’t drink that lot of water…. But thank you! Your Channel is so cool +1 subscriber!✨💖
I love this video!!! Thank you for the explanation 🤩
So glad it was helpful for you!!!
I have some doubts:
1. Even though the SA cleanser has acids, you can use it every day twice ?
2. And if you use it can you use some 'gentle' acids after it?
Thank u for the video its awesome!(:
This was so helpful! You have nailed being able to give us a full explanation of each product without it feeling overwhelming 😁
Oh wow so you just call me a skin care nerd like that huh 🙄😵 I like it 😏
also side note: if you’re like me and have dry skin but get comedones still from makeup and salicylic acid just doesn’t work for you, try their acne foaming cleanser with benzoyl peroxide. literally noticed a difference in 2 uses. salicylic acid just doesn’t work all that well for me and just leaves me super dry. but peroxide seems to work better. :)
thank u so much for recommending! I used the cerava sa cleanser and it just didnt remove the pimples (its been a month), the bumps and it made me feel dry as well. Im losing hope but i saw this comment! I cant wait to try it out :)) 💗
@@jjk9698 yes! i had the same issue. if the peroxide cleanser is too harsh on your skin, pair it with their hydrating cleanser and moisturizer or try a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment cream instead just on your acne. :)

herus aleron do u also use moisturizer from cerave? and what exactly bp spot cream do u use? sorry im still kind of new to this skinscare thing but thank u for responding!! 💗💗
@@jjk9698 hi! i use the lightweight pm moisturizer from cerave, yes! any bp spot cream is fine, i’d stay under 10% strength bc high % can leave you really dry and irritated. the one from cerave is 4% on the foam cleanser. i think i’ve used 10% in the past, they’re all really similar as long as it has bp it’ll help! but i wouldn’t go over 10%.
@@jjk9698 here’s a list of what i use from cerave:
acne foaming cleanser (with peroxide 4%): i use 1-2 times a week
hydrating facial cleanser (1-2 times a day depending)
lightweight pm facial moisturizer (use if i’m dry or right after cleansing, you want to use a moisturizer after the hydrating cleanser bc it has hyaluronic acid which absorbs moisture so you need something for it so absorb).
What cleanser would you suggest for a combination, sensitive, acne skin, dark spots, acne scars?
