Yoshi is my favorite character, like, EVER, not just in Mario. So him being the best in this game just makes me so happy😊 Though I enjoy using the other characters that share his stats (Also, flower glider and parachute have the same stats as paper/cloud)

Get your opponents to lob, get to the point where the ball reaches the highest point and when it does, unleash his special. Unlike other characters his special can hit the ball from any height and its a flat shot so doing this turns it into a powerfull smash that flys way over any character that isnt big like bowser and donkey. Unlike peach who is slow, yoshi has strong defensive and offensive capabilities

Some people would argue that it’s worse because of the bigger hit box, however, I think the only reason they say that is because Peachette would no longer be on a bike.
The cat cruiser has higher invincibility but also a bigger hitbox, so it's not necessarily better than the teddy buggy. Both of these almost don't matter, so pick whichever one you like better!

My favourite combo is Yoshi on Yoshi bike with Leaf wheels and paper glider. It looks great, fully green, and it's pretty good because it has an inside drift, also it's really fast. That's why it's my fav combo

My personal favorite combo is City Tripper/Rollers/Cloud Glider/Diddy Kong, Luigi, Waluigi, or Dry Bones (depending on my current hyperfixation), because it’s a nice mix of pretty good stats and looking like an actual vehicle

in my opinion king boo teddy buggy roller paper glider is the best. because it has .5 more speed in all areas, but that does come with .5 less handling in all areas and .5 less miniturbo. although it does also have more s and weight, and the .75 more weight is decent for bumping the overused combo out of the way. this is just my opinion tho
As a Rosalina main I agree. I like also going GLA Tires instead of rollers for same reasons, so I can reinforce what Rosalina class does. This is probability the best bagging combo.
I’ve been using Medium Mii ever since the meta was completely shifted. And one of the few things I’ve noticed that make Mario or Luigi class quite a viable pick against the Yoshi class is because the Teddy Buggy in the Mario and Luigi class has the exact same speed and mini turbo mix as Yoshi Inkstriker with only a .25 difference in air and antigravity. You really aren’t missing out that much at all if you ever decide to use one of those 2 character classes instead of Yoshi. Tanooki Mario is the 2nd best character class in the game just because it has the same speed and mini turbo mix as Yoshi with clear differences in the other stats. However, Mario and Luigi have the 2nd best alternative speed and mini turbo mix in the game and you can still perform just as well online as the Yoshi class 🔥💯👍🏽
I like to use shy guy, inkstriker, roller/cyber slick, cloud glider cause of how cute it is and also quite viable, although I prefer roller to cyber slick

Idk about you but if my son was willing to learn how to be good at Mario kart I would encourage it. He's achieving more than people who complain that a racing game has a way to go fast :)
I would say it also depends on your own skill level with track memorization and how well you can adapt to certain combos. For example I mainly play Commit bike (if you know you know) but when i play random combos with my friends sure it may take a few races but I can still get used to normal drifting and start to do good again. and one of my frineds can go from one of the best conbos in the game and the very next race they use one of the worst and they still can do really good in a race. all I'm saying is have fun with the game and play however you want. from my experience you have more fun when you don't play super competitively.
The bike neglect is sad to see online. Entered a regional lobby and had 6 yoshi and like 3 daisys on teddy buggys. Yet to see more than 2 bikes in a lobby 😔😔
This is why I prefer to balance Speed and Acceleration with a combo like Middle-heavy weights, Jet Bike, Roller and Gold Glider or Heavy weights Sports Bike, Roller, Gold Gilder
I’ve tried a few of the recommended combos you see throughout the internet. I don’t mind the Daisy/Teddy buggy but it’s still not my favourite. As a 200cc speed runner who is just getting into online racing, my thoughts are whatever combo you are the most comfortable with, is the one you will, ultimately, race the best with. There is a MASSIVE learning curve to online racing if you’re more into time trials (I found racing at 50 and 100 cc UNBEARABLE 😂) especially regarding item usage and dodging, and some groups are definitely more annoying with them than others. At the end of the day if you’re a skilled racer, you’ll do well with what you personally drive best with. Some days you’ll rock it, other days not so much. My combo seems to be Bullet Bill repellent, so most of the time my off day comebacks are reliant on mushrooms and shortcuts. I think the hardest thing to get accustomed to when front running, though, is always getting blown up at the finish line cause all I get is coins😂 there is NOTHING more aggravating than that!
It was fun going against it at a first encounter, but now just seeing everyone use it in online is just more annoying then when Waluigi wiggler was used by everyone. I really hope they come back to nerf the combo like how Waluigi wiggler was shot down.

Good pick, but I like to have a bit more varied color. My favorite varmint combo is Daisy + Varmint + GLA Tires!

As much we get various combos, I the best overall to use on anyone is the roller wheels.
I tend to use inkling boy, inkstriker, roller wheels and paper glider. It’s my favorite and is a pretty good combo stat wise
And the items make it not matter as much as you would think 😂

Just pick according to your play style. Bagging means high speed, front running means more mini turbo and hopefully invincibility
