I love watching the full build on youtube. I haven't had cable in like 7 years so it's really great. Though I have a bone to pick with the transmission rebuild. Y'all said there was a magnet on the drain plug. Then pulled out brass ware parts. Brass is not magnetic. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Zinc is added to the copper to make it more corrosion resistant. Both metals are nonferrous. Thanks-
The perfect musclecar begins with this body! BLACK, perfect! Dream car. Dream Build! I love how you guys go right for the throat of building things the right way. No excuses. I worked on cars before and I've watched a lot of rebuilds but here, I'm seeing how things are done the right way, many times, for the first time. I would have been tempted to keep it in flat black primer.
When my investments take off and make me a small fortune, I will do this exact build except with a 68 R/T for my father. He once had one but sold it in 1988 to prepare for my arrival. I would love to see that smile on his face again like from the stories my mom would tell me about it.
Tommy is the best! I just discovered Powernation and will be watching 100%! One quick thought. The guy who had the car probably did the best he could with the body work, with his talents, tools, and money.
4:38:27 You missed, Felipe Massa (historic F1 driver) amazed by your car, there is no better compliment for your great car. awesome job and thanks for sharing the hole process.
Really great model In middle high school I used to build a lot of model cars I took A 1965 doge charger Widened all well-walls I got some really great looking wheels Chrome. Redesigned the rear deck including an additional wind damping wing on the rear trunk. Added extra Wide tries to fill the rear Wheelwells Added a black vinyl top painted the car lime green when I was done it was a showpiece!
I don't usually like watching such long videos. But this build I just couldn't pass up watching. I estimated it if sold would bring $150,000 /200,000 - + dollars. It's not a bad guess. Great job done!
Just watched 5 hrs of UA-cam video. I learned I want to talk like the Commercial Break guy in real life - at Work, at the Pub, Grocery checkout, etc...
Transmission gear arrangement in what they do, how they work in sync when shifting I’ll never ever understand no matter how hard I try to comprehend. I’m a gear head, but this is out of my realm.
Back in the day 60s and 70s we would modify our top loader synchros in first second and third,, synchros have odd teeth that are close together and farther apart from each other,,, we would grind off the odd synchro teeth and every other tooth randomly,, this allowed power shifting and and a greater opportunity for the synchros to mesh,, the result is never missing a shift...
I absolutely love the cars from my high school days. But I no longer have the time or patience to work on them every time I want to drive them. A full modern built classic is my dream.
this is awesome, got it running in the background while I’m working on my cars sitting in the shop. Love the inspiration. go do something. You live every day you die once..
You guys are awesome! Took me a few days to finish this video, but was well worth it from start to finish. Happy Mopar owner myself. Keep doing what y’all do best.
I really enjoyed the video. It was good that y'all did the full build using one video. It was good to see Kiwi on the show. I see him on Uncle Tony's garage on UTube regularly.
I've seen bodies dipped and it has some advantages such as not leaving media inside inaccessible areas, removes hidden/inaccessible corrosion and no risk of warpage
Cool! I met Ted Stephens and bought all new panels from him for my 1970 Charger, which I am also putting a Hellcat Redeye and a Tranzilla T-56 Magnum in. You guys beat me to it! :)
I am born and raised here in walker county alabama I have never saw that car around goes to show there is always something woe money this is a small county good find
When I had finished my 9 years of school in Sweden, I took another 2 years, learning body work on cars....one of the many cars that worked on was a '49 Ford! Man, can't believe that it's been 35 years, crikey! I'm old, nearly as old Tommy! 😉😆😂
The music on this show is hilarious. Whether its the rip off Yakety Sax or the absolutely shameless Gun N Roses Paradise City clone, it always makes me chuckle.
The Charger's front end reminds me of the face of a black molly fish, if you look at a black molly fish face-on it's got that long narrow look. Pretty cool.
wow, NICE video, thanks guys. The only thing I was sad to see was putting the vinyl top back on. I never understood those things even on luxury cars and dang sure don't understand them on muscle cars. But then heck I never got hubcaps either lol.
I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I'm positive that none of the metal shards on that magnet in the A833 are from the bronze synchros. Just say'in.
This charger is an amazing car, loving every minute of it. 39:48, did he just imply that the brass synchronizers are wearing and sticking to a magnetic drain plug? I can't stop watching, but brass is not magnetic LOL
I've been watching a lot of mopar restore videos as I am about to buy an 87 Dodge Daytona. I bought one back in 1999 when I was 17 for $500 and spent a year restoring it. I lost it in 2013, my exwife totaled it. I have an opportunity to buy another. Speaking of ideas and tips on the restore of this one, one of my buddies has an interesting idea; replace all body panels with thin and lightweight stainless steel. I must admit, my interest is piqued 🤣
Dodge sold the charger under its Australian subsidiary Valient back in the day. Wish they would make a right hand drive of their new ones for Australia and Japan.
My only question is once you started using that rust preventative inside rhe car,why not use it everywhere you reolaced panels, like the trunk and definitely the deck lid where it was already rusting out at the bottom of the window...
I love that this build started off as a nice retro build then the hellcrate comes in and the entire build becomes radical.
Tommy is the adult Bobby Hill!!!
He surpass all the rest. Been watching him sense he was wet behind the ears. Come a long ways.
@@Mavrik-60yup I’ve been watching for the last 22 years. Saturday mornings were the best.
😂😂😂
That’s mah PURSE!
@@CorbinMusso88 Yep, you said it!!
Ended up watching the entire build straight through, incredible work guys, but I have to admit, I was devastated when you sold it.
Hey somebody is getting to enjoy it we should be happy about that.
They weren't once they saw that price tag lol.
@@craigstark2712 Time, labor, materials....

I haven't had cable in 18 years!
yeah i wondered that too
Have cable too,but I refuse to watch the damn commercials,so I only watch here too ..
You missed 9000 commercials too.
The perfect musclecar begins with this body!
BLACK, perfect! Dream car. Dream Build!

The best build they've ever done. Such a beautiful car
the Broham was pretty cool. Not as cool as a Chrger but still a nice build.
Nah. Still can't deal with the Top Porsche.... At all..
Thank you powernation this is the Christmas gift I need I've never seen this project before. So thanks for putting this on UA-cam
Tommy’s the only one I watch or pat on engine power glad they finally made a full bull of the charger
When my investments take off and make me a small fortune, I will do this exact build except with a 68 R/T for my father. He once had one but sold it in 1988 to prepare for my arrival. I would love to see that smile on his face again like from the stories my mom would tell me about it.
That’s awesome!
Hope you can make that happen for him 👍
The whole build was awesome guys. I love the car and everything you did to it. If I had the money and opportunity, it would be mine!! Cheers lads.
Tommy is the best! I just discovered Powernation and will be watching 100%! One quick thought. The guy who had the car probably did the best he could with the body work, with his talents, tools, and money.
Wow almost a 5 hr video! Good job guys can't wait for a nice Saturday relaxation of powernation 👍❤️
Me too. Love automotive tv shows on the weekend! 🚗🚙🛻🏎
Thank you Very much Power Nation!!!This is awesome
The provenance of having the entire build on video by master craftsmen added to the value of this beauty. Surprised it was 2019 Dallas Mecum.
4:38:27 You missed, Felipe Massa (historic F1 driver) amazed by your car, there is no better compliment for your great car. awesome job and thanks for sharing the hole process.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he looks like Felipe kkkkkk
I was thinking of Steve Bobberson
Excited for this one, I always learn something from Tommy and Marc

With the amount of details put in this car, it is worth the price.

I don't care if you're a FoMoCo guy, or a GM guy. How can you not LOVE a Charger?
always loved watching you guys growing up on TV through the years glad your on the UA-cam
Cool! I met Ted Stephens and bought all new panels from him for my 1970 Charger, which I am also putting a Hellcat Redeye and a Tranzilla T-56 Magnum in. You guys beat me to it! :)
What a build!! At least 3 hours longer than any video I've ever watched on UA-cam. And the other video was Power Nation too.
I am born and raised here in walker county alabama I have never saw that car around goes to show there is always something woe money this is a small county good find
I love everything you guys did and you choose the perfect Mopar.
When I had finished my 9 years of school in Sweden, I took another 2 years, learning body work on cars....one of the many cars that worked on was a '49 Ford!
Man, can't believe that it's been 35 years, crikey!

Very good choice for the power plant, love the matching upgrades!
A top notch build , very nice, and I enjoyed watching right up to the sale at auction ! THANKS !
Tommy is a "restoration man", congrats for your good job !
We need more Detroit muscle, dude…!
Awesome vid and a beautiful finished product. So much work went into that Charger, basically you built a car from scratch.
Brings back memories when a good friend from the Dakota nation had a 69 Super Bee! Great car!
This was really interesting, i love to watch professionals work
only thing that i didin't like was the vinyl roof, but it still looked really good
Incredible car. Incredible show. Incredible people. Thank you 👍🏻
Saturday morning let's check it out.
Not a Mopar guy, but that car is freaking sweet.
Almost 5 hours of Dodge Charger excellence! Well I have my day planned! Thank you! VRRROOOOOOM!!!
The '69 Charger is darn good looking but I'd put as the 2nd best looking Mopar, '71 'Cuda is the best for me but it's sure darn close on those 2.
These guys do muscle cars right absolutely love their show
This is an interesting, fantastically educational rebuild video....As a wannabe car nerd, I'm learning a lot.
Big love from Australia. You guys are a great team!
Definitely like the color combo! Both my favorite colors
You boys know how to do it right.
Teachers for characters like myself.
Thank you
The music on this show is hilarious. Whether its the rip off Yakety Sax or the absolutely shameless Gun N Roses Paradise City clone, it always makes me chuckle.
Merry Christmas 💙
My favorite build yet!
The best Ive ever seen you guys do, awesome job guys!!!
That is badass. Great job guys. That’s amazing.
I never liked the vinyl tops….but…❤this car.💯💪👏. Gorgeous!
It also went to the perfect home -“I’m gonna drive it.” She’s not going to be a Rapunzel.
The Charger's front end reminds me of the face of a black molly fish, if you look at a black molly fish face-on it's got that long narrow look. Pretty cool.
The best thing I got from this video was, “you feel that?! That motors goin whaa bahdoom!”
Please tell how much the car was bought for prior to restoration
I loved watching this rebuild!!🤩 Can you guys rebuild a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII as a sleeper?
it doesn't get any better than that.I definitely agree that the hellcrate was a nice update
Even back when I watched this show on the TV my favorite host was/is Tommy.
Tommy and Mark are my husband's favorite's on power nation TV
Thanks for Sharing. I have a 69 Charger R/T in the Garage. Really enjoyed this build.
Tommy sure knows what the heck he's doin!
wow, NICE video, thanks guys. The only thing I was sad to see was putting the vinyl top back on. I never understood those things even on luxury cars and dang sure don't understand them on muscle cars. But then heck I never got hubcaps either lol.
3:51:27 Bigger is BETTER 👍🏻
Loud is not the best choice.
Quieter is Sneaky until you mash that throttle pedal ❤. 🎉
If that horn is bad in your opinion THEN YOUR TO OLD. LOL keepemcoming Tommy you da man
That thing is sweet. Great work guys.
What do you do with all the old new stuff when you decide to put in new, new stuff.😊
I would have preferred it with the original engine, but, since it wasn’t original to begin with, I can see why you updated it.
I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I'm positive that none of the metal shards on that magnet in the A833 are from the bronze synchros. Just say'in.
Who doesn't love that horn
Great job!!! A real pleasure to watch this video !
At 39:49, the debris on the drain plug is not from the blocking rings: brass isn't magnetic. All that metal came from gears+bearings.
Amazing beauty work done here.
love the gear box build
Looked up what Powernation pays the hosts... I really hope Tommy makes wayyy more.
We're getting an education. These guys sure know the restoration business.
Tommy is fun, but Mr Christ is my favorite guy to watch on this network.
incredible. awesome. beautiful. excellent work you guys. wow
Nice video for the Christmas holidays.
4:36 Did not expect to see that Fury!🤘💪
This charger is an amazing car, loving every minute of it. 39:48, did he just imply that the brass synchronizers are wearing and sticking to a magnetic drain plug? I can't stop watching, but brass is not magnetic LOL

Man that car is a beast
Oh man, this car is powered by unicorns, it's awesome.
Bout damn time yall put this out.
beautiful and amazing, well done
I don't understand why people say some parts are hard to get. 🤔 With CNC and 3D printers, anything is possible. 💪
Awesome. Love watching you guys.
Dodge sold the charger under its Australian subsidiary Valient back in the day. Wish they would make a right hand drive of their new ones for Australia and Japan.
Tommy is my favorite PN host!
My dream car! 😍 Sell everything to have this one...... ❤ Not newer or older model Just EXACT this 1969 year model!
It is the most beautiful car I have ever seen.
any updates on the car? new videos? wow!! great job!!
Awesome, I love the 69 Dodge Charger!
The royalty-free GnR soundtrack is great, haha!
