Professor G is simply amazing! Great, straight forward knowledgeable financial information!! I do enjoy some other content creators, but Professor G has to be the BEST!!!
You sir are a godsend. I had no idea SPLG existed. Now I can stop chasing VOO. Thanks for this short, you once again prove why subscribing to your channel pays daily dividends of useful information!
Nice deal with SPLG, 100 shares is about 5700 and covered calls can be sold. Buy fractional shares with the call premium. Takes $45000+ to get 100 shares of VOO and other big SP funds.
@@NolanGouveia So if your a new young investor like someone in college or just graduating SPLG is better than VOO? But would the returns on VOO be higher since the price is higher in a bull market and lose more in a Bear market?
My 3 fund portfolio is: 1.) VOO In my Roth IRA 2.) QQQM in brokerage link Roth 401k 3.) SCHD in my brokerage link 401k. My question is, are these funds good within the current accounts I have them in? Does it make sense to have SCHD in a brokerage link 401k?
im selling most of my individual stocks except rtx, jpm, Tesla,Microsoft and enphase. Problem is I don’t want to sell the ones that are downnnnn so my capital to put into voo rn is low because I also just want to keep a chunk on cash management getting 5%.
Another difference is volume. Although these less expensive funds will grow in volume. This doesn’t matter much for the dollar cost average, buy and hold forever, investor. However those who Might want to trade options the volume on SPY and QQQ has better Options.
QQQ and QQQM differs in that you can trade options on QQQ but not QQQM, unless that's changed. That's what you're paying for. I imagine there is some similar distinction between SPY and SPLG?
Instead of having VOO at $450 per share, and create another ETF that tracks the same index that has a lower share price, why can't Vanguard just split VOO 1 to 10 to bring VOO share price to $45 a share? Is there anything actually bad with diluting the share? The combined balance doesn't change. Does Vanguard keep VOO at $450 just to give it the illusion of high quality stock to attract investors?
It would be nice to see a VOO stock split and then lower the expense ratio. Just for the expense ratio alone SPLG is looking better than VOO right now.
Hey Professor G. Love your Videos . I am a brand new Investor for my retirement starting late @ 48. Didn't really get a chance thanks to Uncle Sams Worldwide Factions over the last 20 years. Lol. But I have 10k and no matter how much read things and watch videos over the last couple months. I still don't understand the differences of the funds such as this voo vs splg, qqqm vs qqq, voog vs schg... What are the benefits to having one versus the other besides the share price. Like in my case say 10k in VOO compared to 10k in SPLG.
You’re very smart. And…..very cute. But at the end of the day (except for being a day older) I just want my money to grow so I can have a comfortable life ahead.
Could you explain why some ETF cost way higher than some of others? Ive been investing in IVV, its close to $500/share. Thankfully Fidelity has fractional share i can buy.
I have around 4k value of VOO. I have watching this I was literally thinking about selling all of it to buy splg to have more shares. What’s your opinion on that?
hola hi dear professor G . I know it is a personal decision, I ask you, Professor G, would you change from VOO to SPLG? because yes or why not. thank you
Makes no sense to swap out if you already have a horse in the game. Your not gaining anything since both ETFs track the same index and their performance outcomes are identical
Will this etf give the same compound interest effect on your money like VOO would do? I need to know because I have VOO and I invest on a monthly normal basis.
@@NolanGouveia thank you. Same effect… just easier to afford. I’m grateful for this news. I watch you all the time professor G. It’s time to get my first 7 figures.
So would it make sense to invest in these lower cost funds until they become higher cost funds. Then hold off on adding to them and start adding to newer lower cost funds and rinse and repeat over the years and use that as a type of diversification?

I invest in SPLG (my brokerage doesn't offer fractional shares) - exact same return as VOO & IVV... Thanks Professor G!
Awesome stuff man! Can't go wrong with dcaing into the S&P500!

You're the best Professor G may you be blessed abundantly❤❤❤
I love your videos! I’ve started investing confidently because of you!
This makes me so happy!
Thanks man, I was just thinking is think QQQm vs of Voo!
I like the xylg s&p 500 covered call etf. Low priced and great dividends.

@@007NowOnlineInvest in real estate as well… diversify portfolio, snp is safe i guess but you want to have other sources of income
And in Europe there is SPYL. Also very cheap at about €14.00 with a 0.03 fee.
Thanks for the insight Prof.G!
Any chance you can teach a 101, on derivatives?
Cheers.

What cheaper options are there for cheaper call order options? Splg seems decent 5700 to start low and small calls
I always wondered that. I buy QQM because it's cheaper and will grow like QQQ. Now I'm going to invest in SPDR because VOO is high. 😅😅
SPLG and QQQM for life
Don’t forget about SCHD 😅 dividend is life
Great tip.

Fxaix through Fidelity does partial shares so you don't have to worry about any of that and when it comes time to retire you can sell partial shares
Yes!
Thanks - I’ve been looking for lower cost etfs for my kids accounts…..

FTEC, SPLG, SCHD, JEPI😊
Also SCHG 😂

why do they compete with themselves? is it a different group of people or different age group?
Thanks Professor!
Any time!
There’s one called VEGN and it’s super good on the yearly increase
bought my first SPLG shares today yay!
Keeping adding shares while it’s under 100
How much of a difference would 0.03 vs 0.02 percent be basically comparing VOO to SPLG over lets say the term of 30 years?
Thank you. Didn't know about QQQM
Why go with voo then ? Just asking based on your prior videos where you prefer voo
Great question. Maybe he just wanted to make a video about SPLG
First time looking at stocks. What to pick. So many options. Ugh lol
FTEC and SCHG is the way to GO😊
Any point in starting to acquire qqq if I already am buying fxaix ( personal investment account) and vtsax (Roth ira)?
Is there any difference at all return wise? They would all in theory by high right now.
Do u suggest to have SPLG and QQQM at the same time? Will it be overlap ?
Can you make a video about FANG+
Thanks brother
Why not just change the expense ratio of an existing fund?
I have around 4k value of VOO. I have watching this I was literally thinking about selling all of it to buy splg to have more shares. What’s your opinion on that?
QTNA
Can I purchase SPLG with or in my Fidelity account?
Yes you can
Cheaper stock price means more shares, but lower return on investment.
What about SWPPX? I know it’s a mutual fund rather than an ETF
Yes that’s a great one!
Nice
Can you explain why VOO is so much more expensive than the others?
Splg or schb ?
Arr these available w/Fidelity?
So given the lower expense ratio, is SPLG now better to buy into than VOO?
Thank you
EVEN IF YOU HAD ABILITY TO BUY FRACTIONAL SHARES OF VOO, WHY WOULD YOU, IF YOU COULD BUY SPLG?????
What makes an ETF grow from 80 to 500

SCHD 40%, VGT 30%, QQQM 30%, contributing $1,000 per month. This is my game plan!, WDYT?
Make some company give dividend for investors like stock, etf,etc
Is bad to have SPLG and FXAIX?

so what's the benefits of buying the more expensive option?
Volume. Assets under management. History.
I just found out about SPLG 3 weeks ago😢😂😅
Is this an ETF?
Nvm I watched the whole video 😅
There's no excuse for not being able to buy fractional shares in 2024 😂

Can i invest in this from Canada?
Yes. You have to do currency conversion to USD and buy it in your USD RRSP account. Use Norbert’s Gambit to save on conversion fees

I mean it is proportional…
Problem is that it has a bigger P/E ratio, means that it will cost even more to own this etf.
