ETFs offers exposure to a wide range of assets such as stocks, bonds and commodities, which can help reduce risk. ETFs, like broad market index, secror-specif and bond ETFs are favoured for long-term investment, because of their diversification, reducing risk while offering growth and income potential.

Many stocks across industries are worth tracking. While it is not necessary to act on every market prediction, enlisting the guidance of financial advisor is advisable. They can help you determine optimal entry and exit points for purchasing and selling of shares or ETFs, ensuring well-timed decisions aligned with your goals.

Financial Planners are very important for investment. They excel in both long and short strategies, managing risk for potential gains and protecting against downturns. In my opinion, making a smart investment is not only a technique for earning passive income, but also a profitable way of saving for future expenses. People who fail to make the proper judgments early in life often come to regret it later in life. Nonetheless, investing alone can be difficult and risky. As a result, I recommend obtaining an expert’s assistance. The challenge is not just watching videos and reading investing books; it is about implementing information effectively.

I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I opt to entrust the day-to-day decision-making to an investing coach. With their specialized knowledge and extensive research, it is highly unlikely for them to underperform. Their expertise is centered around harnessing the asymmetrical potential of risks while also employing measures to safeguard against unfavorable outcomes. I have been collaborating with an investment coach for more than two years

We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard. Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly. Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? why? I keep a pair of watch lists - one I call HDI (high dividend income) and another I call LTS (long term strategy, a play on the term "long term storage" that preppers use). I plugged your three into my LTS watch list, sorted the list, and all three of those fall off the bottom. My list has about 100 products, and in my sorted list, the top 64 are kept to consider for purchase. The composite value (a value created from a combination of capital gain and dividends since 1/3/2022, so they all have the same "starting line") are as follows: VOO=.042, QQQM=.041, and SCHM=.013 . They're "okay," except SCHM, which is relatively worthless. A few items I hold: VYM=.050 composite value, VYMI=.066, and TYLG=.109. The amount I hold of those (and others in my portfolio) are relative to one another based on their composite value. A higher CV means I hold more. If the value of one drops and another rises, I sell some of one to purchase another to maintain balance in the portfolio. Blindly holding 33/33/33 of three items with different ROI is doing your portfolio a disservice.

This video answers 99% of the questions I get asked on my channel. Love the context added about bonds and international exposure.
I use the same modern 3-fund. For growth, I like VGT or QQQM the best in general. I do VGT. Then VOO, and SCHD as the other holdings. I do the 1/3 of each too (I’m almost 42).
I’m a good case study, because I actually track the opportunity cost over the years. I’m up almost $500k compared to rolling with the traditional 3-fund portfolio.
Keep up the great work. You are helping thousands of people find financial freedom the right way.
You’ll have people come say you don’t understand the purpose of bonds, and you can’t look at the last couple years. You are on the right side of history. I’ve broken down many decades, and bonds are never good assuming the following:
    1) We are DCA in all markets
    2) No timing the market is involved (no selling, only rebalancing here and there with zero timing)
When the market crashes, we technically widen the gap (long-term) by purchasing more shares of VGT (or QQQM) to get it back to its allocation.

2 of my favorite Financial You-Tubers. I'm VTI, SCHD. I have some shares of FTEC and QQQM. I'm torn between which to build up. I'm 57. I plan on retiring from full time work at 69. Started investing at 56. I have better choices in my taxable and Roth. I have 90% FXAIX and 10% VTIAX in my 457. I'm retiring from my current job. In 1.5 to 2yrs. The 457 is not really built up but the pension is solid.

How do you feel about using SCHD and having to pay higher taxes on the dividends vs capital gains? Do you still come out ahead overall with your portfolio, than if you didn't use a dividend ETF like SCHD? What if you instead substituted a more captain gain focused but stable ETF?

Than I keep 30% of my account for swing trades. But so far SPYI and TRMD are the best stocks and ETF's I've found to hold long term. TRMD pays a 20% dividend and is a growing Oil/transportation stocks. SPYI follows SPY and pays a monthly dividend at 12% annual.

This guy speaks straight facts. Keep it simple. You don't have to be rich to invest for retirement, just disciplined. Create healthy financial habits and don't listen to people that buy shiny things they can't afford. Go see a pro at least once. Keep it strictly fiduciary and come up with a plan, (it's worth every penny trust me). Open a brokerage account yourself, cost average rain or shine and you're good to go. Don't get your advice from the lunchroom table at work. Pretty simple.

    1/8th JEPI
    1/8th JEPQ
    (Very small amount) VB
It may not be the most efficient strategy, but the dividend income (with DRIP) does 2 things:
    1) Emotionally, I feel more confident having the actual number of shares accrue over time, rather than just capital appreciation. Feels like a failsafe, even if it’s flawed logic.
    2) Behaviorally, I’m motivated to continue DCA’ing when I see monthly/quarterly dividends roll in that continue to increase as I continue to invest. Very tangible reward for investing.

      @kickinstuff13 4 місяці тому

@@NolanGouveia it certainly doesn’t fit your 10 year test, since it was only just created. I’ll admit, I’m fairly new to investing. That said, it has similar holdings to QQQM, but unlike QQQM, JEPQ is a covered call fund. I see it as a way of taking some dividend yield on the QQQM allocation. Dividends just make more sense in my mind than growth. The same goes for JEPI and S&P 500.
Really, I’m trying to match your 3 fund portfolio that tracks the 3 big indexes, but add a bit more dividend yield.
      S&P 500 - VOO & JEPI
      NASDAQ 100 - QQQM & JEPQ
DOW - SCHD (which has dividends)
The current weighting is scewed towards dividends, because I’m betting 2024 is a down year for stocks and DRIP excels during down years. Just a guess based on nothing more than a hunch.

Certainly. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) are popular for long-term investments due to their diversified nature. ETFs offer exposure to a wide range of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities, which can help reduce risk. Some top choices for long-term investing include broad market index ETFs, sector-specific ETFs, and bond ETFs, as they provide potential for growth and income over an extended period while minimizing the risk associated with individual stocks.

@NO-TIME170 Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. During the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my portfolio has grown by 25% every quarter since Q3 2020.

I've stuck with the popularly ‘’Melissa Elise Robinson” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.

I have a 3 fund for my Roth account with an 80/10/10 split (US stock, international stock, US bond) and reinvesting dividends. I just started keeping some "odds and ends" ETFs in a taxable account just to have and those consistent of SPY, SCHD, DIA and FBCG although I'm considering ditching the last one and just going all in on the first 3.

After doing my research on SCHD I came to the same conclusion, but I started to invest in 2022 and 2023 and those years sucked for this ETF. Now I have recency bias against it. I understand this is a longer play and if you are 30 that’s all well and good, but I have 10 years to invest and I need to make it count. I’m not sure index ETFs are the way to go,

But aren't you doubling up by investing in VTI and VUG or QQQM. Aren't they the same companies in both sets of funds? What are you thoughts on TIPS and AGG?

I enjoyed the analysis on the comparison between SCHD and VYM. I see the market edge score is avoid on SCHD. Can you comment on that and if now would be the time to buy if your in for the long haul. Also can you comment on what your thoughts are on DGRO as I have been looking at that as well.

I am adding equities and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to my portfolio. I've set aside $220,000 with emphasis on inflation-indexed bonds and companies with solid cash flows, but I'm also curious about any short term earnings.

While the current market offers short-term profit potential, it's crucial to note that executing such a strategy requires expertise and skill of a market professional.

    Appreciate the video, as always!
Isn’t there lots of overlap in the proposed portfolio ? Surely a lot of VYM and VUG are already in VTI since VTI covers most of the US market. Also, isn’t the avoidance of international stocks a form of performance chasing? Or rather, a form of bad performance avoidance? There’s so guarantee international stocks will continue to underperform US stocks going forward, especially over a 20+ year period.

Just seeing this now, but was doing quite well last 2 years with JEPI, JEPQ and DGRO. Around 50% of the stock portfolio, other half individual stocks. But good advice here sure.
