When disconnecting the positive terminal there is a BLUE tap is connected to the RED molded structure. This is connected to the Red MOULDED bit but do this connect to i.e there is a plug with two wires.Thanks for our help.

I did my positive first 07 525i still worked. If you’re changing the battery make sure ITS THE SAME BATTERY same exact amps and all , you will not need to program or register the new battery.

you have to always register a new battery. If it’s the same spec it’s easy. If it’s different specs a Carly or other scan tool that can register different type of battery.
