I think most invaders would be better off using flame grant me strength as opposed to howl of shabriri. The extra damage taken can 1000% get you killed, especially outnumbered.
Yeah you’re probably right. I just use it cause it fits the madness theme. Also I like using it not just as a buff but a way to damage/proc people that are too aggressive
What I would’ve given to have madness during peak DS2 invasion fun. I used to love invasions when there weren’t so many players you had to face off against all at once. Sure sometimes you’d get gank squads but not every time.

I’d also love to know. I know it’s very high. It procs ALMOST every time unless your opponent has very high focus and in that case an R1 usually gets it there.

I ran it a couple times, but there’s really not a need for it. The spear hand strike is basically doing what the grab does on a more effective level. Not really a point in running both unless you’re just trying to style on people which is totally valid.

Honestly, could do a very similar build but with the poisoned hand for even more craziness. Poison hand for extra damage on poison, mushroom crown for the same thing, kindred of rot as well, all culminating in switching to anything with “The poison flower blooms twice” ash occult infused to just insta kill people. Probably pretty nuts for one shotting hosts

Nice build, i will try it at level 170!! Did you use the poise crystal tear? I think the build is a little bit hard to use against gank but in 1v1 it's top tier for sure. I tried a lot of weapons in pvp but for me the best against gankers is the gravitational missile. But i'm gonna try this for sure!
Yeah I used poise tear and the one crimson whorl tear or whatever it’s called so I could have the poise boost as well as get healed by no physical damage so I could have a better chance of tanking hits. It does ok against ganks but you definitely have to focus the host in most cases unless the summons are just kinda bad lol
What do these scale with? I’m a strength build with 25 to faith would this still work?
The scaling on these leaves room for a TON of options. It scales with streangth, int, dex, and faith. (All D scaling) so you can go dex and intelligence or you can go strength and faith or really any combination of the four. personally, I just went to level 200 so that I could reach the cap for every stat that the weapon scales with to just squeeze every drop of damage I could lol.
A strength build with 25 faith could work but you’d be missing out on some damage by not having the other stats but it’s definitely usable depending on what level you are and I think that’s really how it’s supposed to be used rather than just maxing out everything like I did. I think the reason it scales with everything is just so that you have options… I’m just sweaty and like to push weapons to their limits lol but the BIGGEST thing that’ll determine the effectiveness is the talismans and physique you chose…

Hi love the build but am curious as you never showed in video, other then I'm guessing, the poise tear, what else ya got in wondrous physique? Oil soaked tear for the extra fire damage? fire boost tear for same reason?
To be specific I think you're using the poise tear n something else but what is that other tear? Is what I'm asking, I realize my way of asking is weird.....
No worries your all good! I thought about using the oil tear but the raw damage with the talismans is just SO dang high there isn’t really a need at the moment. Maybe if it gets nerfed that’ll be a better option. I used the poise tear as you said and the crimson whorl tear in order to not get melted while I’m tanking hits in my AOW animation. 👍

@quantum_leviathan the crimson whorl tear makes it so that for a short period of time (i think 30 seconds) all NON-physical damage you receive heals you rather than harms you. so for example if someone is spamming magic at you while you're trying to get the host it will not harm you. its very useful ESPECIALLY when combined with the poise tear. the poise tear allows you to go for your ash of war while they just wildly swing at you and the crimson whorl helps you SURVIVE the wild swinging rather than just tank it but lose all your health. keep in mind though sometimes if someone's using split damage the physical damage will harm u but the non-physical will heal you so you end up taking damage still just FAR less. if they're using pure physical damage though and no ones spamming spells at you you will just get melted lmao it happens sometimes especially against strength and dex builds.

I’m sure you could but I feel like it’d be pointless since the charged heavy followed by regular heavy does SO much damage. I don’t know for sure though. If you try come back here and let me know! Maybe I’ll make the build again and do a video on it

its the aged ones exultation you get it from killing the first aged one in midras area by parrying its grab. it makes it so that when madness happens you get a damage boost

@mattiasxxxx7096 yeah the scream is brutal lol. have you seen what happens if they die to a madness proc? there's one clip in the vid where a mage died to a proc if you haven't. the one where they're in the blood fiend cave. the animation is so sick. probably my favorite death animation in any fromsoft game besides maybe the deathblight animation in this game.

Yeah, I didn’t do the dumpling head for fashion reasons it would definitely be more optimized to run that but honestly there’s not really a need to because the weapon is SO strong lol and I don’t know if L2 into grab works I haven’t tried. 🤔 I never really felt a need to try anything else besides r2 because of how OP it was with the charge attack talisman lol

It's very hard to fight players skilled in PvP, especially with dragon spells only. Madness is not as hard but the first weapon needs better range
I think dragon spells are actually the most op spells in the game. I have a build that just uses only dragon spells and the dragon communion seals and it is by FAR the most powerful build in Elden ring. Almost every dragon spell can one shot multiple people at once with the right build
I think the hosts here are paid actors. I've never hit this skill once.
Bro, this weapon is not broken. It has the same concept of lifesteal fist. Just don't run into it. Not only that but the damage is low for everything besides the ash. "AND" to top it off, at max level the weapon has a D scaling in every stat besides Arc making it extremely weird and confusing to build into.
Agree to disagree. I think that one charged R2 hitting for upwards of 2000 damage is a little absurd.. there’s not a single other weapon in the game that can do that. Not one. And that’s just with ONE buff spell lmao. I genuinely believe it’s overpowered, but I hope they leave it that way I miss the days of dark souls three where just everything was overpowered and everyone was finding insane ways to one shot each other. Lmao
@Knocktopus759 I definitely hope they leave it the same as well. The only real way I think they could nerf (while not making it unusable) is to fix how Latency is handled in game with status effects, which is easier said then done.

I can almost guarantee the build would work at 125 I just used the 200 lvl character cause I didn’t want to waste a larval tear to respec on a 125 character since all those other characters are in use. Give it a shot at 125 and lemme know how it goes! (:
@@Knocktopus759 the only way you can make madness look good is by using only one or two weapons at a time to make them good because they don’t work well together because they have so different scaling : the perfume and Vyke spear are more dex weapons, fingerprint shield works almost exclusively with blood infusion and needs lot of strength, the torch is just useful as a secondary tool but very bad and the madding hand is using all the stats (except arcane)
The madness incantations just need faith and the seal is never the best option at any level (even at max level).
So you just end up either on a dex build, a shield build, a fist build or a frenzy incantations faith build with an off-hand frenzy seal
@@Knocktopus759 but, I just theory crafted a madness build where I incorporate every madness source, except the fingerprint shield because I did a build exclusively with it. You will need :
Starting class : Vagabond
60 vigor
20 mind
16 strength
20 dex
14 int
41 faith
With these stats you will end up at level 110. Now, I am trying to see in which stats I can put the last 15 points, which will probably end up in endurance for a medium roll

If anything is getting patched first I think it should be that crazy skill that you can put on backhand blades. The one where you can just rapidly teleport behind multiple people and leave a wake of destruction in your path until you’re either out of FP or everyone’s dead lol. Lots of things that need work at the moment but I’ll be damned if I’m not having an amazing time figuring out what those things are 😈

There are so many broken builds now and two themes i´ve noticed are either oneshot builds and or broken projectile tracking. there is a bow now that tracks the player so well that there is no point in rolling anymore. Blocking is also a lost cause since sleeping arrows are also used
And yea i play alot of colloseum and ive noticed that desperate players often equip backhand blades to "even out the score" once thats done they switch back to their regular build
