I just zoomed in on a map and located this siren on the corner of north oak park avenue and Carl P Cassata Sr Ln. Right next to an elementary school that probably has some hearing sensitive children who couldn’t focus on their work in those few minutes.
I use to here one every Monday at 8 am at school the school had military base around it so that why it use to give me chill now I love the sound. But I hate the fire Department one when they need more volunteers to come they go up and down very fast so yeh they sound more like a nuclear test or air raid test
pidgeydoodles, this 4004 is in harwood heights, the worst siren fail one was in norridge, so it’s not the same one and it’s not in the same area but they both get set off together along with two others.
I’ll be heading to Harwood Heights on October 4th for my birthday to the elementary school 4004 I heard it’s pretty loud and very punchy and Harwood Heights test in October? with the rest of the siren’s in the state of Illinois
Sure sounds like a pissed off vaccum cleaner. The Thunderbolts are hair raising. I know there aren't many around anymore. They scare me more than this does. This sound only gets annoying.
Yesyes i know, the reaction is placed 11 months ago, i got more information about air raid/tornado/warning sirens and EAS messages, please don't blaim me it was just a opinion of another youtuber

What’s the big deal of kids not working for a few minutes?
@@WildTheFemboy i know right
uh yes, one of those comments. Kids before sirens. Think of the children!!!
If i was there i would be just looking out the window at the siren
I used to go to that school and you could barley hear anything bc there’s like 3 layers of soundproof glass
YAY! NO GLITCH THIS TIME! Although that vid was cool!

*A T T E N T I O N!*
Me: Wah!

Generals gathered in their masses...
Just like witches at black masses
So I go to that school and that siren is so loud it interrupts my math class and my teacher is like why
I go to a school right by an EOWS 1212 with the alternate wail LOL
Sure can alert the city!...…
And your freaking hearing!
Isn’t this the siren that gone all wonky with the prerecorded messages numerous times?
Yep. Well, probably not the exact one, but one in the area
I think that one may have been 4001 but I could be wrong... however it is in that area.
no, that one is in norridge, this one is in harwood heights.
Jay and Midlife, Those two sirens are not in the same area, norridge and harwood heights are two different areas, but they both get set off together
3:45 get your earplugs ready!
Ah, a Timex watch! I see you're a man of good taste as well!

Nice catch😮
I heard a P50 without ear protection before. My ears were BLASTING for the next 4 days. But it was worth it.
play some music from it
@@dustinkey8116 you cant play music from a p50.
talk about earrape xD
Most definitely
The loudness of the noise from the Siren totally depends on the size of the Siren Horn
Jeez how many directions does the voice need to face?
Let me check. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... to many to count?
All of them?
This is how many times: Yes
It needs to do that so everyone around it can hear the voice.
8 ... need to get all sections of 45 degrees
is FS 2001 sirens the most common siren here in Illinois? Because in my city, we only have 2001's
Everywhere. Domestic shorthair or golden retriever of sirens.
*Starts flipping out*
04:08 TOWNSHIP township township loove the echo!
Do you know if the sirens went off this month?
Yes, they did.
hold on
is this the same siren used in the "WORST SIREN FAIL I'VE EVER SEEN" video, or is this a different siren in the same area?
windowsnerd if you look at the map at the beginning, you can see norridge and the siren to the right. I think this is a different one.
CSX 8888 maybe
This I believe is a different one. I could be wrong but the broken one I think is 4001. However both are in the same area.

They have these everywhere in Minneapolis where my dad lives
Is there a link to the map that you used in the beginning?
Go to the ARS
Chrome7fan or the Illinois Statewide siren map

4:55 looks at camera
There was a ERROR with that siren in a other vid
Its not tjis one the error one is at norridge
By any chance are you using a Timex watch? I had a Timex watch back in 2014 and its hourly chime sounded the same as your watch.
almost shit my pants the first time I heard it go off
Nice video
Those srn's are in Chicago.
Chicago has dc's and I think it's too far away
Hey look! It's one of the ballerina sirens~! 😊
I SAID NO GLITCH
Why ballet siren? Quite the opposite if you ask me.
What are these sirens for
Primarily they are used for tornado warnings
But they can also be used for floods, air raids, fires, nuclear meltdowns and a bunch of other natural disasters
Essentially for warning a area about an ongoing disaster
@@Luka-sb3lq There are no air raids anymore. This is not the 1940's. This is the 20th century. WW l and WW ll are long over.
PlatinumEagleStudio's in some countries they still use them.
Hi is a fs srnb and srn a air raid siren
1:37
I'm sure that's a vortex not a 4004
@Safety Security Guy oh
It’s not a vortex, Those can’t do voice activations

Wrong,tornado warnings
Good idea though
Nice Whelen
No collector rings

Very loud day indeed. Yikes! A lot of nerves or excitement depending on how you think of them
