Can confirm I was one of the 5 people requesting this. Thanks for the transparency and basically showing us everything. I'm sure this vid will help people out on their own endeavours. Keep up the great work as always
I also requested this so only 3 more people need to own up
You're more than welcome :)
Most grounded and realistic UA-camr setup tour
This is what I call "maximizing the benefit of someones circumstances". You don't need the fanciest Room to accomplish amazing things. And thats exactly what you have done Joey! Thanks for the Roomtour, I really enjoyed it! Also Greetings from Germany ;)
Thank you pal, glad you enjoyed it! :)

first tip of the day: multimeter use the "visa" software to communication with the multimeter. if you have installed visa software without "disabling windows fast boot" option during installation setup, this can give you problem connecting the multimeter on pc.
second: when you connect the multimeter on pc you don't need to power off and on again to have button functionality again. just press "local" function button on the multimeter after you have connected to pc. this restore the option to control the multimeter with the inbuilt buttons.
third: your multimeter can read data from probes faster than you currently have. just press the button relative to speed option to increase the reading speed. unfortunately this option doesn't stay in memory. you need to restore it every time you power it on again.
fourth: if you can't see a phisical button that say one or more thing that i said check on the screen. sometimes functionality can be changed with the gray buttons next to the screen.
let me know if you understand
What BGA clamp do you use for holding IC when you reball?
I've looked around and don't see one exactly like yours that I've found anyways. And yours seems to hold the IC's pretty well
1. Why are you recharging those lights everyday. Make power supplies for them, it's easy, or even better repurpose existing ones. I'm sure you have a larger bin of power supplies you didn't show on camera. We all have that bin.
2. Canned air. When that is empty drill a hole in it and out a valve from a bike tube in it, epoxy it in and then refill it yourself for free. Way cheaper and doesn't require propellant.
3. I didn't see any actual electronics stuff aside from game console parts. So you repair some electronic things but you don't do electronics repair, is that right? I'm going to assign you homework then. Make power supplies for those daily recharge lights and then next we'll move o,n to making your own ring light, anti glare is a nice feature maybe that would be fun and add a little variety. Instead of Joey fixes, Joey makes. That sounds more interesting to me. Expand your horizons and all that crap.
This is mental. I started watching this guy's channel a few days ago and watched probably 30 of his videos in that time. Yesterday I thought it would be amazing if you showed his set up. And wouldn't you know, the very next day hahaha
Wait a minute … you have ears??? 🤯
Just wanted to say thank you. I just purchased the microscope you use to use in class with students - an inexpensive solution to be able to examine and project circuits and components in the classroom. Will also be purchasing the bench multimeter you recommend for the same reason. Now to find a O-scope with HDMI out...
You're welcome! That's amazing to hear :)
I must be one of those 5 people! Thank you for another great vid, and a look into your current workspace. I'm extremely excited to see how your garage workshop turns out!
You can add me to that least of 5, so at least 6 now lol. I didn't know I wanted a room tour of your shop until you posted this video lol. I'm a few vids behind, uhh, like, 2 months of your vids behind D: Am enjoying the journey :)
Love the tour! It really make me feels included and make it all even more real.
What I love about your channel is you're always make us feels like everything is real, we can see every little mistakes (that are part of the experience), every try, everything, not just the blings and the shows.
This is the only youtube channel I know which is both entertaining and feels like a twitch live stream, with the excitement of not knowing what will happen. This is very rare and a treasure, thanks a lot mate!
@JoeyDoesTech can you tell me where to get the STL for the 3D printed bracket "from Roy"? I don't know what/who Roy is. Where can I find that?
alcohol, red hot equipment, bubble wrap & paper..so🔥🔥fire blanket JDT
Brilliant little tour, camera is slightly soft but do-able!, I haven't got a Hakko, but I do have an ultrasonic cleaner :D. Currently using a cheap China Yihua 968D+ III for my solder/heatgun station. Carry on sir!
Don’t know if this is possible, but, I’m looking for a trustworthy ps 5 from someone I trust. May I please purchase one from you? Since I’ve watched you fix them, I know it’ll work! Thanks!
@Joey, in the last stream you've used a hdmi port tester with usb-c-port output, on which you've connected the Mechanic USB-C test tool. What kind of HDMI test board are you using?
Keep up the good work. It's fantastic to learn from you.
Was this filmed on that little gimbal cam you fixed previously? Lol. Great vid though, I was one of the 5. Been thinking of getting into filming and what kind of setup was used. Also def gave me some ideas to clean up my workspace. Currently using IKEA pegboard, but I think I’d prefer more of that red drawer setup you have on the wall, more compact compared to the IKEA stuff.
Thanks!
Hi Joey, Love your room and setup, looks amazingly relaxing to work/chill in that room
Should have been titled "Joey has Ears"! :) good Job Buddy. Love you work.
pretty sweet set up you got going on
I see you picked up the new Osmo pocket 3 I picked the newer How do you like it versus 2 ?? 🧐
Thanks so much for your videos Joey. You have inspired me to try my own fixes. Keep up the great work champ.
Camera quality is fine 👍
(Watching in 360p to save data)
Good to see your setup joey!. Im looking for some cameras for my UA-cam setup can you control the zoom with a remote control?
Where do I get my hands on the 3d printed bracket that holds ur microscope please ? I’ve got a similar set up but my microscope just vibrates too much really annoying
Dropped you a email, let me know if either way if you’d like the item 🙏🏻 keep the videos coming 🎉
What is the brand of microphone you have clipped on you while doing the video?
no way! i. have the same mouse and keyboard as the famous tech repair youtuber joey does tech!!!!
joey try the local button i had that issue ..mind you that multimeter is crap for connecting to pc ..
2 minutes in and I bought the ring light lol. Thanks for the recommendation.
Thanks :)
Thanks joey, appreciate each and every video. Stay cool TheBeard
Bar fridge? But yes, there is a world outside Joey's Tardis so it doesn't need everything :-)
Loved the tour! I appreciate you taking the time to do this and you even put in links of the things you use. Fantastic job.
Joey if you want I have still the cd with the software for the power supply to show on your pc(and on OBS). I can transfer the content on the pc and send it to you via email. It is not too big. It is a bit complicated to set up but I managed to find instructions online so I can add those to the email. Let me know.
I wanna start a new trend, Man get yourself a soldering wick.
I suggest you upgrade to a desoldering gun [a Japanese one]
What flux do you use? I notice it doesn't seem to smoke like mine does. Or is that just the camera not picking it up in your vids?
The most shocking thing for me was realizing that there is actually a human hand underneath the gloves.
That amazon paper, I keep as well, but I got into the habit of rolling it up. It takes a lot less space. My 2p.
joey were did you get that big arse desktop from, looking for a new top and cant find any thats big enough for my desk
Joey two things that we have we both have the same router and we both have the same multimeter. And also it’s hard when you loose your dog / best friend isn’t it.
I did previously buy the solder from the link but it does seem thinner than what Joey uses
I'm waiting for the Joey Does Games channel
can't you create dummy batteries for the lights?
Wow great video seeing your workplace!
what lens do you use for your overhead canon sl3 250d?
Does a room tour and doesn't introduce the famous chair how rude of you joey ha ha ha great video bud
You didn‘t show us the Genius behind your eBay Sheet😂
ur better off getting a wall mounted air con as the portable ones burn a lot of electric joey
My. Soldering and. UA-cam. Room. Tour. !
Check at 2h30m on last stream the ic from left for ps5
press the local button bottom right and no need to restart i have the same multimeter
Crazy how your room has advanced! Can't wait to see the new JDT garage office, when this is finished. It was really interesting. Thank you!
Joey has decided against doing that due to the security 😉
@@highroyds Thanks, Roy. I can understand that.
Your linbins are all small (the orange ones on the wall ) they come a lot bigger
Well your new little gizzmo camera done the jobbie, great vid 🙂 For such a small space you have certainly packed it in, thanks for the behind the scenes of JDT it was cool to see 👍
Thanks bud :)
Nice Joey as always and has made me tidy my setup in my room also
dope review i want to do the same with also car stuff :)
The room looks a lot bigger on your livestreams
It's always nice to see other people's setups. Mine is pretty basic but it suits my needs.
I've been wondering for a while now, why did you switch out Blue Mat Pat for the silicon baking mat? Is it just preference or does it take heat better?
Hope you and the fam are good. Give your kitties a snuggle for me. 😊
Thanks Treena! I was sent this mat by TheCod3r and safe to say it works wonders. It performs a lot better than blue mat pat. It absorbs heat very well and doesn't bubble.
Looking good 😉 there nice repairs set up room
For a cry out loud, set your multimeter to read fast. Its so much better.
Unfortunately you have to do it every time you power it up. The readings in your videos are slow. Can be faster.
Its second button from the top.
Done thank you :)
Can I send you my broken PS3?
Incredible video, Joey! Beautiful set up my man :D
Thank you pal
No mention to poor old Charlie 🤷🏻😄
why your PC is on the ground 😥😥
Deffo a video we didn't know we needed
My t shirt arrived today thanks
awesome setup ur just missing 1 essential device and seeing as ur already integrated into the elgato the stream deck would help you out a bunch. ive got the v1 15 button one and it make live streaming and streaming soo much easier.
I have thought about this! =]
@@JoeyDoesTech i was on the fence about buying it again but i found one on ebay for £50 and i grabbed it . its the best £50 ive spent.
Where's the oscilloscope?
Yes! When I heard you mention this video on Sunday I was so hyped! What are your thoughts on doing a POV repair video? Might be a logistical nightmare to film
i use the same cotton buds lol
5:48 "Time circuits ON"
im easy patient zero
Heaven! Pure heaven!
Excellent room tour, wasn't expecting you to do a thorough setup like this. It seems as though you've got everything laid out perfectly especially for fixing electronics and tinkering. I might just have to buy some of those Amazon items if I need upgrades or additional stuff!
Joey has ears :)
Excellent, your very organised, very nice setup, loving it bro, keep the good work up.😂❤
Epic Joey
Don't think I requested but certainly appreciate the tour! Clean setup for such a small space. Keep up the great content Joey. You scratch that itch we all have.
❤
❤
I love that there is nothing in your set up unachievable! The AI beauty filter when your on cam is doing the heavy lifting :)
Hey Joey! Thanks for the tour... not only do we both share the same headset, but also a love for Border Collies - awesome!
For a fume extractor I use a computer fan mainly because lack of desk space. I also have it blowing towards me so it keeps me cool. works a treat!
One of those five really enjoyed the tour. Super fun to see and thanks for sharing!
Love it, finally getting to see a behind the scenes view of your setup. Looks great!
You Really are about 6 feet tall! Imagine that. Thank You for the shop tour. I've always wondered what it looked like. Cheers! 😀
Factually true!
I’ve subscribed to a few gaming repairs channels including sum fairly big channels yet I find u Joey is probably my favourite to watch due to ur honesty and u interact with the live chat really well, not to mention u r very encouraging to anyone who is trying to do sum of these repairs themselves
I appreciate that, thank you :)
Joey, Thank you for the tour. It also was nice to see what you look like without the headphones.
You're more than welcome! I have ears! :)
Thanks joey good to see nice set up
Nice insight! 👍👍👍
what a treat to see were it all gets done
nice setup!
The USB multimeter, is supposed to be controlled by the PC when you connect it in USB it's why you have this "problem"
You have think about connecting your light to a power supply, so no battery problem, like for the camera 😉
I didn't see your oscilloscope 😅
Joey ain’t got one yet lol
@@highroyds I know 👀 but I had to ask because he said he was thinking about doing graphics card repairs 😉
@@Irilia_neko it’s also the learning how to use it if he gets one lol
@@highroyds it's also a very fun part 😉
