I like that the garbage point doesn't just look like a factory or a dump
Same here
Yeah but things like garbage probably limit the size of these pedestrian zones.
@@jdd_yt As long there are multiple service points, large pedestrian points are possible.
@@dbclass4075 very, can pretty much make a whole city out of one
Things are gonna get good 🤌
I was already thinking about converting some of these service buildings into other things because of how nice they look. The garbage ones would work nicely as Fire Stations and he Cargo ones could be regular industry buildings, the pedestrian ones could work as a fancy bus stop if you drag a road under it;s roof.
This needs to hurry up and release already! I have been playing modded with pedestrian areas for ages and always have hated having to allow garbage trucks to drive on the ped streets! Now I can provide a service building and I can benefit the cims living there with a specialized zone? YES, PLEASE!
I think it’ll still be another couple of weeks until release. The last dev diary is scheduled for 13th September. I’m guessing the dlc will come out a day or two after that.
@@KorKhan89 And another week or two of waiting if you play with mods.
Im guessing once the 4th tutorial is up then they will release it. because this is still only the 2nd
Love the new unique buildings 😍
i love how they fit in with the new building theme
why aren't you critical about the wrong decisions?
Oooh more info, just what we like! Thanks OE - fantastic job 🙂
Hello Biffa!
Omg I'm willing to have it!!!
Need more tea to do more thinking
@@ap9970 Always! 😃
I love your city designs
i can feel my wallet being ripped out of my pocket already
That would be the overcharged cred(it card) ... also collaborating with Paradox to bring you this DLC
@@SASSparrowcusAcademyofStrategy …you get an A for effort lmao
Oh don't worry, I'm still catching up with the dlcs and CCP
My pocket is being ripped out of my pocket to make a new but empty pocket
It's because of them sugar ban criminals isn't it?
my dream dlc would have:
1. mixed use zoning
2. mixed use zoning
3. mixed use zoning
4. mixed use zoning
5. make it so that ships stop merging together, oooo while they’re at it they could make it so that cars can’t merge together and if they do they need road maintenance to come along and clear up the mess
6. mixed use zoning
You what would also be cool? Mixed use zoning
number 5 for cars would be cpu intensive.. i’ll pass. mixed use sounds great though!
Mixed use zoning would be great
I'd love more creativity in shaping objects to fit non-rectangular areas
@@kayleelockheart8208 What about Mixed use zoning? That could be cool.
I'd like to again take the opportunity to say I love how @Cities: Skylines are collaborating with content creators (both streamers and building/vehicle creators). This is a masterclass in how its done.
Thanks!! One of my favorite parts of the job is working with so many amazing creators
@@CitiesSkylines Great choice using Egg for this one. He's the best choice for pedestrian related builds. His use of paths and walkable cities are amazing. Good one 👍🏼
I don't mind the increased crime rate as long as it's about the smuggled chocolates. 🍫😅😅😅 Love the new unique buildings, btw.
I love the look of the uniques, so cool! Another great video, thank you Overcharged Egg and Paradox!
I love it! They really stepped up the look of their buildings to something more realistic over thee last few DLCs compared to base game assets.
I, for one, am going to "Deliver Everything" from my industry area across the entire map by using these cargo teleporters, I mean service points.
Who says they teleport things. As far as I understood trucks are deliver to and from those
@@baiano2000sc Trucks deliver to the service point, but I imagine the goods are then teleported to the destination building in the pedestrian zone. I was imagining a pedestrian zone spanning the entire map.
@@Doddibot genious
@@Doddibot gotcha
@@Doddibot The amount of service points required will be numerous, though.
Looking forward to this, been after something like this for ages. Think next Paradox should do a module docks like they have with the Airports DLC
WOW!!! Egg is doing a great job making me want these new goodies RIGHT NOW!!! Looks like our cities are going to look amazing really soon!
Once this releases and the necessary mods update for the new expansion, there goes another 100 hours of my life crafting a metropolitan region. This time with 15 Minute Neighbourhoods!
Instant mod idea:
Service hubs with rail. i.e. freight rail stations that are also service points. Maybe even for garbage?
Taking it one step further: make them have the rails under ground. That's right: hide it all!
Not sure if a freight rail station is really that nearby to a promenade irl
@@little_foxy9118 not to a promenade, no, but to pedestrianised area that's like 8 by 8 blocks of tall highrises? Could be done.
Imagine banning sugar when you have that giant rotating sign of a squirrel sitting on a donut (at the 1:38 timestamp)
Very Nice Mate.. Can’t wait!
Overcharged Egg, nicely done. 👍
i'm sooo excited for this :)))
Thanks, this expansion does look great!
Looks promising and those new buildings look so nice.
WOW So Interesting Thanks!
Looking forward to trying this!
Smuggling illegal candy bars... I love it! 😂
Nice work OE!!
this is really exciting
I noticed that the assets here all look really modern. It would be cool to have older styles too. Also, pedestrian roads with glass roofs. I’d love to be able to have a Victorian style shopping arcade. If not in the expansion itself, I look forward to something like this in the workshop.
Two content creator packs to consider:
• Mid Century Modern
• Seaside Resorts
Seriously I cannot wait for this.
I'm so excited for this
ok more info, amazing cant wait.
I AM SO EXCITEDDDDDD!!!!
😭😭😭I want it now😭😭😭
The unique buildings are amazing!
Great! I love the larger service points and the “Deliver Everything” policy! Also, new Unique Buildings are always nice to have. One more thing, is that six-lane road with a median at 0:54 part of the DLC?
Maybe. No other DLCs have that kind of road.
This is probably the DLC I'm the most hyped for, with the public transit one. FINALLY some good, modern urban planning.
2:40 new metro station perhaps?
You could be right
I can see some new roads on this video and the previous ones, as a console player im excited also for these new roads and hope for a one way three lane road, one way one lane road and other variations!! The Bus only road will be perfect to my BRT network, I’ll finally get rid of those annoying cars on it!!
Can’t wait
Nice hearse driving thru the mall :D
*I hope they make a content creator pack in the future called bridges of the world and that it has like the golden gate bridge, Brooklyn bridge and the London bridge and another bridge in Tokyo but I forgot what its called*
1:00 new 3 lines road?! 😱
Looks like it, although we already got 3 lane roads in the base game, they just put the lamp posts in the middle on that one. What I’d really like is a one way three lane road
@@edsonfilho9429 👀
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG what do you think, im one of many fans of you and im so glad that you read my comment 🤩❤️
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG ohhhh this gotta be good news 🤩
I’m excited
TY.
Lovely
The service points are waaay too big for smaller pedestrian zones!
I hope modders will create ones that are a lot smaller or invisible
Another idea would be to have multiple smaller zones all as one large zone, so they all use the same service point. Would probably also help reduce traffic in your city, since trucks would only need to visit one point instead of multiple smaller ones.
@@Khotetsu Use the fragmented area trick: paint one area, then draw a "line" towards another area, then remove the "line". Viola, one area, two locations. Works for districts too.
@@dbclass4075 Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking of - you can have a whole bunch of little zones that as far as the game cares are all one big zone that way, and put the service point for them somewhere that makes more sense.
1:38 never noticed people with walking sticks actually seem to walk with a hobble! ☺️
I wonder if we'll be able to have base buildings on these roads (i.e European high density to make a historic quarter or something)
Yes you can you can see some in the video
Can't wait for this DLC.
❤️❤️❤️
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
オシャレ!!!
Yes
I'm sold on the DLC, just disappointed that the zones have a levelling up mechanic. I'd rather them just be a specialised "normal" zone that having any hoops along the way.
At least it no longer have the star anymore.
I just wish the engine for CS wasn't so old and laggy, because I can get real creative with all of their DLCs paired with Steam assets.
I hope that new dlc bring us new cars
I feel like this will straight up be the most important DLC in CS history. Pedestrian Areas are something I always miss while building, and they're such a hassle to create by hand and mods.
I'm guessing the release date is 13th of 14th right after the last dev diary
🔥
the freight/garbage points feel really odd as someone living in a highly pedestrianised city, where delivery and garbage trucks just drive at 15kmh on the pedestrianised areas
Could you cheese this by making a tiny strip of pedestrian area to connect to the garbage area, and place a dump/recycling there? That would avoid the traffic
Possible, but note both buildings should be on non-pedestrian road.
I hope C.O. would also update their old assets with better textures and quality that is on par to their recent releases. Atleast make the older assets less cartoony.
I was really hoping this wouldn't be another progression based dlc. I just want to be able to use all the new stuff whenever, don't want to grind to unlock it all.
When are we getting parking lots and big box stores for console? Maybe a cyberpunk, like a dystopia expansion too?
Whoever suggested this feature to be on the next expansion Deserves a Rise straight way!!!
The only thing I dislike about the DLC is that the pedestrian areas are very focused on American style pedestrian zones, nothing for europe.
In Europe you also wouldn't need service stations
It's more for game functionality.
Seems a lot like the park life DLC, but with actual city functions as well
Gonna start a new city just for this dlc
I wonder if this will really change up industrial areas.
The sugar ban is hilarious! 😂 Any idea when this'll be out?
Sometime after 13th of September.
@@dbclass4075 - Thanks. 🤔 I wonder why DLCs are released on Tuesdays? 🤨
@@stevengalloway8052 Not sure. Closest I can think of it Health Tuesday in Finland.
Love it but not a fan of having to paint the area to use it.. Just want to be able to place into my city..
1:31 will there be a sunken metro station build in this plaza?
I doubt the unique buildings will have transport stuff built in, except busses, but we have plenty of sunken metro stations from the now 3rd most recent crop of CCPs
Sorry but I don’t understand how can I do to not brake the road medians in every interesction. It’s crazy. If I want to do a street with a median but I don’t to brake it in every intersection, I’m continue needint to do it by hand???? The which utility have this dlc?
I repeat my question: Is it possible to use pedestrian areas for industrial zoning? It could be a unique way to reroute cargo traffic.
There may end up being a mod for that
@@stuartygibson7079 Why a mod? Are you saying you can't do this by default?
@@Glitcher2000 I think you can
There like default roads with the zoning
Maybe. Industries are considered workplaces after all. Do note they require lots and lots of cargo vehicles.
I see batik building 😯
Fully simulated outdoor public markets please
MORE!
3 more videos scheduled on 2nd, 7th, and 13th of September.
Cuando se van a añadir expansión de mapa en Xbox edition.??
one of the "bad" thing about CS is that, their SMALL building/assets never that small lol...it uses slighter spaces than their LARGE buildings/assets with the stats drops pretty significant
Is it possible to change the trees like on usual streets ?
@Kermit21 Yes, that was what I was looking for, thx alot !
@Kermit21 I had no idea. You just turned my game around
Add also a red light district Mode
That… that’s not E-rated
Leisure commercial specialization from After Dark DLC have just that.
It looks like some of those assets have underground connections.
Maybe it will be obvious when I see it, but what does "deliver everything" do?
Everything inside Pedestrian Area, including buildings on regular (non-pedestrian) roads, will be serviced by Service Centers instead of vehicles driving to them directly.
I wonder how these new service areas and promenades act with the Parks pack...
Independent of each other. Pedestrian, Park, Campus, Industries, and Airport Areas cannot mix with each other. But some of their assets can be inside the other areas. For example, park asset may be inside a Pedestrian Area.
Soo 2 more videos then the release? Maybe in a week 🤔😁
3 more videos. 2nd, 7th, and 13th of September.
If theres Bus Depot, Tram Depot...
I'm waiting for Metro Depot
That would be great!!!
I don't think it is likely. Bus and trams do not need stations to place the stops, while other railed vehicles do.
do you know when we can download this dlc ?
Steam, online stores of respective consoles, and Epic Games. Sometime after 13th of September.
2:43 AH! Can we please get the people to stop walking on the grass here!
Where to buy this game and can Epic Games work with Steam Workshop?
Steam, online store of their respective consoles, and Epic Games. Somewhat, mods and assets have to be installed manually, but cannot be from Steam. Fortunately, most creators post their creations outside of Steam.
2:45 Is that a metro station
release it finally!
Based on release schedule of developer diaries, sometime after 13th of September for all platforms.
É bacana essa DLC mais a melhor atualização que a Paradox poderia lançar, seria liberar mods no console. E melhorar o gráfico do game.
Are there parking lots
I wish the pack also includes European buildings
@GarTree you've been to Europe already? we have large walkable inner cities due to historic reasons. Almost every big city has a walkable old town, where you can walk easily. Look at Munich for example
@GarTree Europe is known for it's walkable areas
Speaking for the UK, we definitely have pedestrian only areas for a start large sections of my town's commercial center, including the area where I work, is pedestrian only.
If you mean he ability to include European district theme that is part of the base game, yes they can be in pedestrian zones.
What an amazing DLC...
But as always I have something to complain about.
01:09 Why the heck can't the Wiener Cars swapped out by something good looking..?
😁😁😁
🤣
I love those vans though
When will it be realised what date?
**Likely** around 14 September-the day after patch notes are released. This would be consistent with the airports DLC.
When will it release?
Based on release schedule of developer diaries, sometime after 13th of September.
When are we getting more tiles on console…
I would do the street music ordinance without banning candy sales.
When will this dlc be available?
Guessing on or soon after 13 September, since that’s when the last dev diary is scheduled.
Is there a release date?
Based on release schedule of developer diaries, sometime after 13th of September for all platforms.
We need a highway or traffic manager update fpr console
One thing I don’t really like about this dlc is that it doesn’t really add that much stuff
Was posted the SECOND of 10 lol
