As a teacher, I agree that having an indictor light to let people know the AirPods are in "hearing aid" mode would be very helpful. I can't just assume that students wearing AirPods in my class are using them in that way. Or maybe I could require a doctor's note or accessibility form or something like that, I just hate to be that curmudgeon teacher who gripes about it.
Thanks for bringing Harari, who was a great discovery for me personally. Love your show that addresses such serious topics and still makes me laugh multiple times in the same edition!
3D printer manufacturers have no ability to control what a printer can or cannot print. 3D printing is honestly not that high tech, its mostly just a few motors and belts that controls a heated metal block and a heated metal plate, all connected to a simple motherboard. And any attempt to restrict the printing of weapons on a software level will almost certainly affect cosplayers who make up a large percentage of hobby 3D printing enthusiasts. Lots of prop weapons are based on real guns, ex: the majority of Star Wars blasters
Love the podcast, but I wanted to mention that having a light on your AirPods to indicate that you can’t hear what’s going on around you might make you an easier target for criminals, weirdos, et al. Love the podcast 🎧
I agree with your guest that the printing press was not the start of tech…. It’s about the human experience. I prefer as many do, read a printed book on paper. The tactile experience even the smell and experience is so much better. Information technology advancements are turning people into complacent automaton. Who needs a fridge that monitors to see of you running out of milk… same goes for music, the experience of opening up an LP record with pictures, content about the band, posters, smell, etc. even cassettes and CDs recently I switched. I do not get this experience with streaming.
I want to upgrade my iPhone, and I'm waiting for the iPhone 16 to drive the price of the iPhone 15 down. I'm good with being one model behind and the price is right.
Happy 100 episode! (I think I've heard/seen them all). Where is Shania Twain? episode 100 was the chance to do the benchmark of all Apple Intelligence products!... That don't impress me much
I'm imagining a bunch of visually obviously new york times interns in some fancy studio doing nerdy tech stuff with borrowed museum property saying "remember we have to make it look like old timey found footage but not AI"
Love the video format. Piece of feedback: please reflect in the thumbnail or title if you have a guest or something. I almost skipped as I thought this is going to be ONLY/ MAINLY about Apple's recent event, and I already know about that. Glad I didn't! The interview with Yuval should be at least hinted in the thumbnail with his face. Thank you!!
We posted another video with the interview only. That title and thumb is all about Yuval. With youtube, it seems best to focus on one idea for the title and thumb, and so we try and pick the thing that’s most popular, that week it was iPhone. Thank you for the strategic advice
@@hardfork ahhhh I see, ok fair enough. Thank you for taking the time to respond & explain! And congrats to the whole team on the 100 episode milestone 👏🏼
Apple events have lost their excitement. I use to look forward to them. But now, i don’t even watch them the last couple of years. They are trailing behind in advancement across the board. This year I finally switched from an iPhone to a Samsung phone and they are so much better. There’s been no changes whatsoever in design and overall tech of their phones the last 15 years. BTW the Samsung Buds Pro already has earring enhancement and protection tech. way before this Apple announcement. Same with sleep apnea is monitored with Samsung watches and others. I get almost 3 days of use with the Samsung watches ultra. AI is already integrated with the camera, and AI is accessible all over the built in apps, I.e. notes, photos, home control, etc. Sold my Apple stock few years ago at the right time. I’m not going back. The only Apple tech. for me that’s still is best is their IPads due to the quality of apps available. The only other thing I might be interested in would be their Apple virtual reality tech. When it gets cheaper. Of course the MacBook will always be my main platform.
Interesting perspective :)I am basically the complete opposite lol I was always in the apple eco system but then switched 2 years ago to the samsung one. First had the z fold 4 and then sold that and got the z flip 5 at the release. I also had the regular watch 5 I belive and have the buds pro. But I ordered the new iphone today and will be selling the samsung devices. While I appreciate both ecosystems and both have their ups and downs, I feel like many of the apps just run so much better on ios. Since the iPhone lineup is so simple and doesn't change much over the years the app development and optimization is just so much easier on Apple. And that the hatdware itself is also a lot of vertical integration unlike the android one where I have a Samskng phone, android software and a Qualcomm chip. So yeah, ultimately I feel like I had a much better experience with the Apple ecosystem and will go back now. But Samsung was fun while it lastet :) you might have a difference experience but I just wanted to share this
i’ve listened to all 100 episodes, cheers fellas!
Music between sections is exceptional as always 😊

Also "first comment" if that's still a thing.... 🤣🤣
@@MobileMusicMaker Sorry, I was the first one, but just because I didn't wait to watch the video to post 😂
@@daydalaus Dang it, you beat me by 1 minute!!! I hadn't refreshed the page so It didn't show me your comment. 😆😆
@@MobileMusicMaker Sneaky win 😂. It did take me a while to look for the Shania twain reference
As a side note, all the newest hearing aids have BT connectivity and can be used to listen to music.

Love YNH, happy 100th!
When I forget my phone at home, it feels like I left my kid at the airport parking lot. 😊

I was going to say the same thing, and good point with the cosplay weapons.

Printed guns: Sort of like how photo copiers won’t duplicate money.
