Delighted that you have found *The Warning!* Try anything from the Pepsi Center or the Teatro Metropolitan. If you do 'Breathe' (which the drummer sings while playing piano), have tissues at hand. She brings grown men to tears.
I will Gree with all the comments here. They are incapable of putting out anything but exceptional stuff. Pao, the drummer takes the lead in some songs. You have to watch this live. Phenomenal.
@@Abigirl_Reacts, because it's true. I'm 63 and have seen hundreds of bands live. On my personal chart they are in second place behind only Pearl Jam. And I'm speaking of 1995 PJ here, when they were still young. TW still have ample time to climb to the top spot. BTW: great call on the 7/4. Most reactors know too little about music to spot all these small things The Warning put into their songs to keep them interesting. Their toolbox of musical tricks and mastery is well filled.
@@wolfgangwalk337i grew up listening to PJ. The more I hear them now the more they drive me nuts. In my opinion the warning blow them away at any point in PJs career.
All three sisters took classical piano lessons when they were really young. Started playing each of their instruments (with lessons) also when they were young. Everything from their new album Keep Me Fed is excellent. Also, as everyone will tell you, they are amazing live, so find some live videos. All of the "Live at Pepsi Center" videos are great. Enjoy!
Yeah- they all sing. The drummer doesn’t have a mic for the music video, because it’s a performance video over the official studio track. Check out their live performance on the MTV Video Music Awards for an actual live vocal version 😀
Live at Pepsi Center in Mexico City is a must watch. Their best concert performance put on youtube yet. The audio mixing is second to none, it sounds even better than the studio recordings, and their performances are top notch despite all of them recovering from being sick. The videos all have a small number in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail indicating where in the set list they were played. "Disciple" is #1
@@Abigirl_Reacts they're very active on their social media interacting with the fans , and putting out a lot of content especially with their recent Pepsi Center concert . You should follow them
That time signature means these ladies are genius composers and songwriters. All 3 sing. Bassist sings one lower, drummer signs one higher.Harmonies for days.
With each The Warning song you listen to, you will want to hear another one even more. In 2014, they posted a video cover of the song, Enter Sandman, by Metallica at ages 14, 12, and 9 years old. This video went viral and opened up opportunities for them, some exploitive that they turned down. Theirs is a very interesting story, all captured in UA-cam videos as they progressed from talented children to a world-class band. Enjoy the ride!
Welcome to the world of DPA and TWA. When 25% of your viewers leave a comment, you know your about to discover something badazz. Kudos to your Patron, and hopefully you get more requests there for these amazing Ladies. Live from anyone of their concerts over the last decade works, but the their are plenty of new ones to choose from. My ultimate suggestions are either HYCAD or Automatic Sun... LIVE in Concert!! ⚡
You have it right about the post-chorus hook. I have transcribed it in 7/4 (or alternating 4/4 & 3/4). It is unusual and catches peoples attention for sure. Since this is your first time with The Warning let me extend The Warning Army's welcome to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With four studio albums, several live concert videos, we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records. This three-piece is: Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar) Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums) Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass) All three sisters sing, and all are classically trained on piano. The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of classic rock, metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex. What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as many of us fans, their musical maturity is exceptionally high. Need another suggestion? From The Warning’s UA-cam page you might choose from: - Disciple, Hell You Call a Dream, Z, Dust to Dust/Dull Knives, or Choke or anything else from their 2023 Pepsi Center Live performance - MORE or EVOLVE from the MTV VMAs - S!CK or Automatic Sun live studio performances from either MTV Push or Jimmy Kimmel - The official music video for their new releases Six Feet Deep, S!CK or Que Mas Quieras (in Spanish) - The official music video for XXI CENTURY BLOOD - SURVIVE from their 2017 TedX talk There are really no bad choices. They are something special live-I think it is their super power. Their energy, charisma, and musicality really shine when in front of an audience. In the past two years I have flown >20k miles all over North America, Mexico, and just got home from three shows in the UK and Ireland. Can’t wait for the chance to travel and see them again. The only other band I have traveled for like this in more than 45 years of concert going was Rush. We would love to have you join us in The Warning Army as one of the Warneros. The Warning can be a deep rabbit hole, but we have plenty of space down here for you. Good luck on your journey!!
@@Edgar_Medina I used to insist on that, too, but you know, there's not a huge difference. I'm just happy when 'Muricans take the time to try the right pronunciations. Side-note, you know that Dany pronounces her name not with Spanish accent, but Anglicized, right? (For other readers, she pronounces it like "Danny", not Dah-nee.)
They aren't self-thought. They started with piano lessons at a very young age. Their dad bought them the videogame Rock Band and that inspired Daniela (guitar) and Paulina (drums) to take lessons for their respective instruments. Later on Alejandra picked up the bass and they started playing together and writing their own songs. They're in their early 20's but already have 4 studio albums and 1 EP, all original songs. Very talented songwriters and amazing live performers.
@@torresilk4277 This is so true , they learned classical music very early on , which was a great foundation to start with , learning musical theory and all that it entails , which has given them a big advantage when it comes to writing and composing music . There are videos of them on their channel playing classical music when they were 7-8 years old , they were all excellent even then . .
@@Abigirl_Reacts There is a really good video of Ale learning to play bass. The Warning - Ale y su maestro Pablo (bajista de Los Claxons) Not only did Pablo teach Ale to play he is also the person that encouraged all 3 sisters to begin writing their own music. They have all stayed friends and he is often at their concerts in Mexico when he can.
Pau had drum teachers starting at age 6. The last being her mentor and idol Beto Ramos, who is a legendary professional drummer in his own right. He's been actively involved in their encouraging their careers, much like Ale's teacher Pablo González Sarre.
Shot on a dozen or so phones and one drone. They didn't have a budget for a video but the song was getting attention and they shot it on the cheap. They are amazing live.
And the reason there are so many cables everywhere is in response to people who pointed out the lack of cables in the "Choke" video and used it to claim that they were fake
@@jeffreygunn3530 That's in the same league of "FU" as Narcisista! For our channel host: Narcisista was the first song they sang in Spanish, and it is a giant middle finger to all the people who criticized them for singing in English.
*a concise history* *_The Warning_* are Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra, three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico... you'll see their names and band name abbreviated as DPA or DPA/TW... each goes by a nickname taken from the first part of their names... Dany for Daniela, Pau (like POW!) for Paulina, and Ale (like Ah Leh) for Alejandra... you'll also see "TWA" which is The Warning Army, their highly enthusiastic fan base 😜 DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar) when they started learning and playing classical piano... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all learned and played classical piano first... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau, at age 6, gravitated to the drums and Dany, at age 8, took up the guitar... Ale was 7 or had just turned 8 when she chose the bass... a few months after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are today... if you want to see where they started, the first link in this list will take you there... watch them in this order: 2014 viral start : ua-cam.com/video/1boUYB9LFJY/v-deo.html OMV reimagined of above w/ Alessia Cara : ua-cam.com/video/9tKQgesCcTc/v-deo.html live of reimagined at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX - Aug 2022 : ua-cam.com/video/vg9vNE7gm0I/v-deo.html live of reimagined with 10-piece string section at Pepsi Center CDMX - Oct 2023 : ua-cam.com/video/-stoqv5W8RM/v-deo.html TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Great to see these women on your channel. The Warning have a way of bringing a modern approach to familiar sounds, blending classic rock, hard rock, grunge and pop and turning it into something fresh and unique. If you continue to react to their music, you will get tons of info in the comments about these ladies. I definitely recommend watching them live as their energy and charisma totally jumps off the screen. As far as tunes to react to, for some punky vibes, I would suggest the song "S!ck" performed on the Jimmy Kimmel show. For a sheer vocal showcase, I would recommend "Hell You Call a Dream" from the Pepsi Center. And “Automatic Sun” (more hard rock/grunge), really shows a different side (check out their original video in front of a huge festival crowd on their UA-cam page). Hope to see more of The Warning on your channel soon!
This is also the first music video in my playlist. I also have different playlists for their live videos. I was born in Mexico and have been living in the USA since I was a young boy. I am very impressed and proud of the Warning. They went viral when they were very young and made covers of rock and metal bands. Their most popular is their cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman. Since then they made a video with a Canadian singer Alessia Cara and performed it live many times. Recently they did a collaboration with Japanese metal band Band-Maid which is also another one of their most popular songs. All their music and live videos are great. You will have a great time watching The Warning.
If you start going back over their history it is very interesting. At this point they are aged 16, 18 and 20, so they had already been playing live shows for at least 7 years and recording albums for 5 years...
*Evolve* OMV Pau (drums) releasing all her frustrations and pain through her _"Scream of Evolution"_ so she can grow past them and *Evolve* 😜 Pau came up with *Evolve* after watching a documentary about evolution and gene manipulation... this isn't the first time she has drawn inspiration from a TV show or movie, either... several other of their songs have been inspired by books, movies, and similar media... this video was shot in a parking garage at a car lot... they used 16 iPhones and a drone... you can see cameras on the mic stands and two hung over Pau on her left and right... speaking of iPhones, their OMV for *S!ck* was all done with iPhones, too... Fun Fact: Pau has four screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , one in *Hunter* , and the latest one in *Apologize* ... Fun Fact: during soundchecks, she's been known to use a much less powerful "Waaaaaaaaaa!" instead of "The Scream"... gotta save that scream for use at the proper times, ya know? LOL TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
@@Abigirl_Reacts look for their performance at the 2023 VMA's of this songand More. Evolve is from thei third album Error and More from their fourth Keep me Feed released last June
First reactions to The Warning are so much fun to watch 😀. It's the "...is this for real?1??!? They can actually play?". Plenty of other posters will fill in the background of TW so I'll stick with this... If this song really did peek your interest for further reactions, there are a few official live versions of Evolve available but the one that (normally) hits hardest is this: ua-cam.com/video/97Pxe9KTgJc/v-deo.html [Evolve - live MTV awards 2023] After that, it's a question of whether you want to go straight into the latest material or want to see what led to The Warning getting the wider traction. So, a couple of options... Now: ua-cam.com/video/s6b_FgQnXL8/v-deo.html ["Hell You Call A Dream" live Pepsi Center, 2023] ua-cam.com/video/PDFH9AcPpyA/v-deo.html ["Automatic Sun" - live video footage / studio audio] The song that went viral in 2014 and was then reworked in 2021: ua-cam.com/video/1boUYB9LFJY/v-deo.html [cover - Enter Sandman - 2014 when aged 14, 12 & 9] ua-cam.com/video/vg9vNE7gm0I/v-deo.html [cover - Enter Sandman live 2022 Teatro Metropolitan] ua-cam.com/video/-stoqv5W8RM/v-deo.html [cover - Enter Sandman live 2023 Pepsi Center] The problem with choosing recommendations for The Warning is that there are so many songs to choose from plus several behind-the-scenes style videos plus some official interviews on other channels. Also, amusing video footage playing the games "Truth or Drink" or "Perfect Pitch" - both are likely to work better after hearing a few songs. If you want to see something with Pau ("Pow") on part lead vocals, probably "Disciple" live. Or, ballads including "Crimson Queen" (Dany on vox); Revenant (live version with Pau); Breathe (emotional, live with Pau) or When I'm Alone (live with Dany). The closest you get to Ale doing lead vocals on TW's official channel is the song "Choke" but there are a few unofficial videos on YT from what have become known as live "unicorn gigs" where Ale (very!) occasionally sings lead on full songs to give Dany and Pau a rest. I'm not even close to being "expert" about TW, so brace yourself for when "The Warning Army" descend 😮, Er, you have been "warned"...!😄
The Warning is definitely one of those bands who are best experienced live :) All three sisters sing. Dany (guitar) is the primary lead singer, but Pau (drummer) often takes or shares lead in songs. Ale (bass) mostly sticks to harmony and backup vocal duties. She does not really like to sing lead, but has a beautiful voice when she chooses to. Their most recent album (Keep Me Fed) was released in June of this year. All of the songs from it are incredibly good, and they run the gamut of sound. Some are lighter, some are heavier. Hell You Call A Dream, S!ck, More, Sharks, Six Feet Deep are standout tracks (to me, at least). All of the tracks from the album have either lyric videos, official music videos, or official/pro-shot live performances available on The Warning's UA-cam channel. The Warning are reactor-friendly, and don't embed Content ID into videos from their official channel. If you want more from them, I'd recommend their performance of either Disciple or Hell You Call A Dream, live from their 10th anniversary concert at Pepsi Center, CDMX as great starting places to see what these sisters are capable of.
@@Abigirl_Reacts Automatic Sun or Burnout, I believe. Of the two, I'd point you at Automatic Sun as the better track, personally. Their official video for it is studio audio, over a live performance from the Tecate PalNorte festival in April. They used the studio audio because the live audio ended up having too much interference from loud pyrotechnics and other festival stages. It's a *really* good song, and worth checking out. If you want a true live performance of it, go with either the Jimmy Kimmel live, or the live from vevo studios version...
@@Abigirl_Reacts They released six singles starting last year and leading up to their album release in June. These included "Sick", "More", "Hell You Call a Dream", "Burnout", "Que Mas Quieres" (super fun video), and "Automatic Sun"
The time signature is 7/8. It is well known in classical music. Not so in popular genres. The sisters are all classically trained pianists with the drummer, Pau, being an expert on Vivaldi. She is also their main composer & lyricist. In Evolve the fun starts after Pau's scream, when they go double time followed by an off beat transition to the main 7/8 to close out the song. Add to that melodic rhythm changeups, some meaty riffs straight out of the stables of Deep Purple & Black Sabbath. Pau runs a parallel show from behind the drums. She was born for Broadway. While your immediate urge will be to go through their recent album, I will suggest that you review their 1st 3 albums - specially 2nd, Queen of the Murder Scene (a concept album) & 3rd, Error. After a long time a band is writing profound metaphorical poetry with insightful messages that make us pause and think. So its imperative that you check their lyrics while listening to their songs.
I'm so glad you found The Warning! This is a band that is built for Live Performance. You've got to check out something live. Anything from the Pepsi Center or Teatro Metropólitan is amazing.
@@gabrielalbertocastillomarq6120 Well, You know YT will block everything from Wacken and Pol`and`Rock so it can be done only "outside" YT. But my first step would be definetely Teatro Metropolitan concert. It`s a golden standard.
@@TeeSpicerReacts Sorry, but all I can do is to kindly and politely disagree. Pepsi has more "fireworks", but it does not make it better. However after all who cares? Everyone can have one`s favourite show. For me Pepsi is not even No 3.
Yes, they all sing. Yes they are sisters. Pau also sings lead at times. Check out Deciple from the Pepsi center. Want a treat? Check out their first official video, XXI Century Blood from when they were young teens. It will blow your mind, and make you think.
"I'm so impressed..." You have no idea... Wait 'til you see the Pepsi Center concert. They have four incredible albums, about 15 amazing music videos, and their life stories are on UA-cam and Instagram. They are incredibly addictive, as all these people from The Warning Army will attest.
Awesome reaction! They're all veterans at this point. Over 10 years as a band. Their fourth album, Keep Me Fed, dropped in June. This song was from their third album Error. All three play multiple instruments, with piano being their foundation when they were children. Pau (Pow) is Drumeo's rock drummer of the year. She also sings lead on quite a few songs. All three are sponsored and play custom instruments. They just finished their latest US headlining tour (nearly every venue sold out) and are now playing Canada with Evanescence and Halestorm. Welcome to The Warning! They are better live, but stick to their official channel to avoid strikes. ❤️⚡🤘
The drummer , called Pau sings several songs lead , including the songs called ," Narcisister" , " Dust to dust ", "23 ", ("Black holes "and "Breathe) ", were played by the drummer in concert on piano by her , at the Pepsi centre , all are must watches , cheers hun.
I can highly recommend Freeze The Fall. As some other people have mentioned 3 teenagers who seriously rock!! They guarantee no video will be blocked & they watch every reaction video. I would suggest Daughters of Witches as a good start!! ❄️❄️❄️❄️🤘🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts I meant that their songs blend a lot of different genres (hard rock, metal, punk, pop, etc.) and they can do everything from gorgeous ballads, acoustic renditions of their songs, ferocious punk- or metal-ish songs, etc. As for cover songs, I have too many favorites to list, from all sorts of different artists and genres. But The Warning have done some great ones. A lot of people will mention their cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” with Alessia Cara, but I’ll also mention a couple of the many great solo covers Paulina (the drummer, aka Pau) or Daniela (the guitarist, aka Dany) have done: Pau’s cover of Taylor Swift’s “You’re on Your Own, Kid” (from an appearance at the Decididas Summit, a conference for accomplished women from different walks of life) and Dany’s cover of “Growing Season” by Love You Later are both very beautiful and moving.
@@Abigirl_Reacts Their cover of Metallica's ATLAS RISE at the Whisky a go go when they were 18, 16 and 13 is one of my favorites, but with over 50 originals you just cant go wrong with any live.
A rabbit hole I've been stuck in for over a year. We are traveling from Phoenix Az to Toronto next week to see them on my daughters 18th birthday. They were recently labeled The Queens of Rock and rightly so.🤘🤘❤
Saw these ladies live the other week for the first time with Halestorm and Evanescence. They sounded incredible live, their merch sold out almost as soon as their set was done. All three of the sisters are beyond talented.
Pau uses a headset mic during live performances. Welcome to the Warning Rabbit Hole! It's a fun trip. They never disappoint. Most recent singles would be off the Keep Me Fed Album, S!CK and Hell You Call A Dream come to mind. They are currently on a Canada tour with Halestorm and Evanescence. Their live shows are 🔥. 🤘😎⚡
Their latest album is Keep Me Fed and it is awesome! They are an incredible live band... They started very young as I'm sure others will tell you and just celebrated their 10 year anniversary as a band last year. In fact they have just finished releasing pro-shot footage from their 10 year anniversary concert at Pepsi Center in Mexico City (CDMX) which is well worth watching.
This song goes from 4/4 to 7/8 and back. I think the first Rock band to do that on a single was Pink Floyd with the song, Money. All are classically-trained pianists, which was the origin of their interest in music. Each of them chose their other instruments around age 6 or 7 and received formal lessons from several professional musicians/mentor over the years, but they started playing together as a band when the guitarist was 13, the drummer was 11, and the bassist was 8. They started using the name The Warning about a year later and shortly afterward, they recorded the infamous viral video of them performing a cover of Enter Sandman that launched their careers as professional musicians.
Evolve is from their third album that came out in 2022. Their fourth album came out a couple months ago call Keep Me Fed. Personally I am Most impressed by their second album Queen of the Murder Scene, which they wrote when they were all still teenagers and before they were signed with a record label. Amazing song writing...
Nice reaction to a great band :) They're unusual in that they have two lead singers. Daniella on guitar does most of them but Paulina on drums does some too. They also switch off in some songs like Disciple where they both have lead parts. They all started off playing piano when they were very young and decided to learn to play and form a group after playing the rock band video game. They have taken lessons but they've learned a lot on their own as well. Paulina was voted rock drummer of the year last year and she's a show all on her own. I'm not sure on this but I think their latest single is Six Feet Deep. If you do the music video make sure you play it all the way through, there's a surprise at the end ;)
They all sing - you need to watch a live video. 1) because they're great live, 2) Because they all sing, and they're so energetic!! They are all sisters (from Mexico). They were about 16, 19, and 21 or so when they filmed this. The spotting of the 7/4 time signature was very astute of you ... The video was filmed on about 8 iPhones in an empty warehouse in a couple of hours - and a mini drone - another great observation. They started playing very young - 5 or 6 years old on piano - classically trained. They moved to the instruments they're playing now after playing the game 'Rock Band' and decided they wanted to do that, and so they did! They are currently 19 yrs old (the bass player - she'll be 20 on 13th December), drummer 22, and the guitar, lead vocals (on most tracks!) 24. Thanks for the reaction - given a thumbs up!
Absolutely love The Warning! Was hoping you'd get around to reacting to them. Definitely check out their live performances, they're on a whole another level. Maybe check out Disciple live from the Pepsi Center CDMX 2023.
Formed in 2013, latest album of four "keep me fed" released i june 2024, They got inspired to start a band from playing the video game rock band. have toured with major rock bands, there is a lot to listen to and watch by these girls/women. Only good songs. Dive into them!
This is the first time on your channel, I love your reaction to The Warning here. I'm impressed that you picked up on the time signature change, most reactors miss it. If you continue down The Warning rabbit hole, I'll be here for it.
Yeah, these three Sisters Villarreal-Velez blew me out of the water when I first heard them. There are four singles off their 2024 album, Keep Me Fed. Automatic Sun is my favorite but it's hard to pick one because in addition to them being such powerful players, singers and performers, they're also talented composers. They have an innate sense of how to create a hook. All this talent in three very young and unpretentious sisters is amazing on its own. My limited knowledge of their history is that the parents were rock fans, all three learned piano very young and all three attended my alma mater, Berklee School of Music, for a five week program. Other than that, they've been playing, recording and videoing with each other since they were little kids. I think the latter was the fertilizer from where their huge sound and endearing swagger grew. You can't teach this level of mastery of a genre. Pau, the drummer, usually has a headset mic. Check out their performance of Evolve on the MTV video awards last year.
If you get the chance, the live version at the MTV VMAs from 2023 is AMAZING!!!!! You really get to hear Pau's primal scream! Welcome to The Warning! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!
Glad you are doing The Warning...they are sisters, but you must watch their live videos. They are phenomenal live...I've seen them in concert a few times and they just blow you away....good luck, I'm sure the Warning Army will enundate your site.
Super 1st-time reaction to The Warning Abigirl! They are all classically trained on piano all beginning around age 5. Guitarist Dany and bassist Ale` also played the saxophone in school. Their father Luis bought them the video game ROCK BAND when Dany and drummer Pau were 8 and 6 years old and they fell in love obsessively playing it. Shortly thereafter they got real rock and roll instruments and lessons from professional teachers. Ale` originally wanted to play the harp, but there were no teachers, so she chose the bass at 6-7 years old. Surprisingly they didn't play together until they were 8, 11, and 13 years old. 🗣 Subscribed! 👋☺️❤
They all sing - Pau on the drums sings high backups, Ale on the bass sings the low ones - these girls are outstanding - listen to their four versions of Enter Sandman - also watch their version of this song at the 2023 VMA music awards - there is a video of their growing up with their music - also their collab vid of "Show Them" with Band Maid - The Warning played 120 concerts last year and have fronted for Halestorm and Muse on major tours - also poison, Gins and Roses, Poison. Foo Fighters and others - they have put out 5 albums since their Enter Sandman in 2014 went viral when they were 14,12, and 9 years old
I'm in my 50's and am hooked on this band. Half of their fans seem to be older rockers that don't care about the Warning being attractive young women, we are all just too delighted that someone is putting out the best new rock music in 30 years.
Haha, but being *easy on the eyes* doesn't harm their cause either. Though it seems they are _angels in wolf's clothing_ , doesn't it - you can hardly find a more wholesome set of -girls- siblings in the performing arts sphere can you?
@@christopherrmcarter1809 Great stuff - early 70's I see - just like your own years. Am assuming that The Mighty Zep and Pink Floyd omissions were just a "momentary lapse of reason" 😁
@@christopherrmcarter1809 Why watch, or even merely, listen to Metallica perform Enter Sandman when TW does it even better on the Black List album. And now with their original material, I'm hardly listening to all my old UK and US classic rock music.
The riff is in 7/8ths. Got started by playing Rock Band video game. Been around since 2013 as babies. Check out their redux of Enter Sandman from the Pepsi Center concert. GROUNDBREAKING!
Hahaa! Welcome to Pau's famous "scream of destruction"! She does that live at the end of nearly every show, since Evolve is their usual closing song. In some more recent of their headliner shows, she tells the audience to join in too, and they sure do.
The time signature of the intro riff is in 7/8 and goes to 4/4 for the verse and chorus. Also, you were right about the cameras. If you look, they have iPhones attached to their mic stands and the drums. The whole video was shot on 16 iPhones and a drone. If you watch the "making of" video, you'll see that they're in the end of a parking garage. They just threw a bunch of cables on the wall to give it some contrast on the white walls.
They are not self-taught; they've had many teachers over the years. They all started taking lessons when they were very young. The band has been around for about ten years. They've been doing this since they were kids. The video that launched them was a cover of "Enter Sandman" that they did in their basement in 2014. Dany was 14, Pau was 12 & little Ale was 9. Pau sings lead (the drummer) on some of their songs. "Dust to Dust" would be a good place to start for that. "Automatic Sun" or "Sick" would be newer singles to check out if you're so inclined...cool videos available for both of those tracks. Their fourth record dropped this last summer (in June).
You are right, the time signature in that little part is 7/4, as opossed to the regular time of 2/4 or 4/4, these girls are cool like that! Glad to subscribe for more The Warning reactions!
Yep, our favorite power trio, sisters, amazing musicians, even better human beings. Pau, the drummer, sings lead on some songs. Their MV's are always cool, live they're off the charts. Their stage presence is only matched by their personalities and charisma off stage. It's hard to find a kinder and more intelligent trio of rock stars. They are self taught, and blew up the internet, or UA-cam at least, when they did a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman, at the ages of 9, 12, and 14. They played the game Rock Band as kids, and knew they wanted to form a band. They released their fourth studio album, Keep Me Fed, this summer. I really recommend that you check out this song live, either at the MTV VMA's 2023, or at the Pepsi Center 2023. The whole Pepsi Center show is stellar, you'll love it, and soon, you'll find yourself at the entrance of a very enticing rabbit hole. A rabbit hole that is deep, and if you go down it, you'll find yourself in wonderland.
@@Abigirl_Reacts Cool 😁 Their dad Luis sold his Harley Davidson, so he could buy instruments for his three miracles. Luis and Monica should write a book on parenting. Three sisters from Monterey, Mexico. They all sing but Dani, the blondish one, is more or less the lead singer. Pau, the drummer sings lead on some songs though.

So cool to see your fist time reaction to The Warning. The live version of this song was my first and I think my heart skipped a few beats. Good call on the phones and the 7/8 timing! Good engaging commentary too! Blessings!
To answer some of your questions, they've been a band for about 10 years (you possibly saw them as children doing covers). They Have 4 albums (only the last two with a label). All 3 sing, but the Bassist doesn't sing lead on any official recordings (tho she does fill in sometimes if Dany is sick). Their most recent single is Six Feet Deep. Or at least that's the one with the most recent OMV. They definitely aren't self taught, but they learned at very young ages.
Thank you Patreon patrons, helping *The **_Warning_** Army* on their quest of world domination using the weapon of good, wholesome rock music. The Villareals (🤩🤩🤩) are the real deal, the saving grace of quality music since the slow and painful decline since the late 70's..
@@Abigirl_Reacts I just typed "Villarreal music" into an AI search, it listed them 2nd - shame on it, who even knows of Daniel The Villarreal sisters-Daniela "Dany" Villarreal Vélez, Paulina "Pau" Villarreal Vélez, and Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal Vélez-are the members of the Mexican rock band The Warning. These sisters mostly write their own song therefore creating their own sound. The drummer is does the backup vocal as well a lead on several songs. Paulina (Pau) won the Rock Drummer of the year for 2023 by Drummeo. You should check out their MTV performance; read that the production manager never heard of the band and while they were playing he uttered over his mic "holy shit". After the sisters finished he approached them and exclaims "I'm a FAN"...then another "holy shit"

For more information about them and suggestions, you will surely have plenty in other comments, I will talk mainly about their music. Great reaction from you and I'm excited to know that if you keep reacting to more of this power trio's material they will soon be your favorite band too, inevitably!! That's for sure... It's The Warning!! Because as you get to know TW better you discover that their music is steeped in various rock styles but invariably it’s pure rock. And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very personal opinion that their structure, their cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, their endings... All of it is masterful. The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection, with sophistication predominating. There could always be other options, but the ones they choose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art. Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvements and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture. Each of their pieces can be very different, but always with all the flavor of TW. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time. This is the youngest veteran band in the world of rock!! Without forgetting that they are only three, yes, but three authentic geniuses in their specialization. Melodically they are the best, without a doubt, because they are the queens of the hook, the riff, the changes of tonality, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!! The new masters of rock: The Warning ⚡ For now I subscribe to your channel because I hope to see many more reactions and opinions from you about my favorite band of all time.

With each The Warning song you listen to, you will want to hear another one even more. In 2014, they posted a video cover of the song, Enter Sandman, by Metallica at ages 14, 12, and 9 years old. This video went viral and opened up opportunities for them, some exploitive that they turned down. You have been WARNED!!!⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘
Indeed!
This three-piece is:
Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar)
Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums)
Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass)
All three sisters sing, and all are classically trained on piano.
From The Warning’s UA-cam page you might choose from:
- Disciple, Hell You Call a Dream, Z, Dust to Dust/Dull Knives, or Choke or anything else from their 2023 Pepsi Center Live performance
- MORE or EVOLVE from the MTV VMAs
- S!CK or Automatic Sun live studio performances from either MTV Push or Jimmy Kimmel
- The official music video for their new releases Six Feet Deep, S!CK or Que Mas Quieras (in Spanish)
- The official music video for XXI CENTURY BLOOD
- SURVIVE from their 2017 TedX talk
There are really no bad choices.
Is not pronounced "AH-lay", it's pronounced "Aleh", as in "Alex" without the X

@@Abigirl_Reacts There is a really good video of Ale learning to play bass.
The Warning - Ale y su maestro Pablo (bajista de Los Claxons)
Not only did Pablo teach Ale to play he is also the person that encouraged all 3 sisters to begin writing their own music.
They did a great job!
And the reason there are so many cables everywhere is in response to people who pointed out the lack of cables in the "Choke" video and used it to claim that they were fake

*a concise history*
*_The Warning_* are Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra, three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico... you'll see their names and band name abbreviated as DPA or DPA/TW... each goes by a nickname taken from the first part of their names... Dany for Daniela, Pau (like POW!) for Paulina, and Ale (like Ah Leh) for Alejandra... you'll also see "TWA" which is The Warning Army, their highly enthusiastic fan base 😜
DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar) when they started learning and playing classical piano...

Thanks so much for the info! They are great
If you start going back over their history it is very interesting. At this point they are aged 16, 18 and 20, so they had already been playing live shows for at least 7 years and recording albums for 5 years...

this video was shot in a parking garage at a car lot... they used 16 iPhones and a drone... you can see cameras on the mic stands and two hung over Pau on her left and right... speaking of iPhones, their OMV for *S!ck* was all done with iPhones, too...
Fun Fact: Pau has four screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , one in *Hunter* , and the latest one in *Apologize* ...

First reactions to The Warning are so much fun to watch 😀. It's the "...is this for real?1??!? They can actually play?". Plenty of other posters will fill in the background of TW so I'll stick with this... If this song really did peek your interest for further reactions, there are a few official live versions of Evolve available but the one that (normally) hits hardest is this:
ua-cam.com/video/97Pxe9KTgJc/v-deo.html [Evolve - live MTV awards 2023]
After that, it's a question of whether you want to go straight into the latest material or want to see what led to The Warning getting the wider traction. So, a couple of options...
Now:

ua-cam.com/video/-stoqv5W8RM/v-deo.html [cover - Enter Sandman live 2023 Pepsi Center]
The problem with choosing recommendations for The Warning is that there are so many songs to choose from plus several behind-the-scenes style videos plus some official interviews on other channels.
Yessss thank you so much for the links! This really helps ^_^
Hey what's their most recent single?
@@Abigirl_Reacts Automatic Sun or Burnout, I believe. Of the two, I'd point you at Automatic Sun as the better track, personally. Their official video for it is studio audio, over a live performance from the Tecate PalNorte festival in April. They used the studio audio because the live audio ended up having too much interference from loud pyrotechnics and other festival stages. It's a *really* good song, and worth checking out. If you want a true live performance of it, go with either the Jimmy Kimmel live, or the live from vevo studios version...

@@thomasalbrecht5914 that it does, for sure. i think it's funnier for fans, though, than someone new to the band, personally :)

❤️⚡🤘
Thanks for the tip! ^_^
The drummer , called Pau sings several songs lead , including the songs called ," Narcisister" , " Dust to dust ", "23 ", ("Black holes "and "Breathe) ", were played by the drummer in concert on piano by her , at the Pepsi centre , all are must watches , cheers hun.
Dont forget Revenant

The End es una súper canción que canta Pau.
I can highly recommend Freeze The Fall. As some other people have mentioned 3 teenagers who seriously rock!! They guarantee no video will be blocked & they watch every reaction video. I would suggest Daughters of Witches as a good start!! ❄️❄️❄️❄️🤘🤘
Thanks for the suggestion! ^_^
Those measures where you counted to 7 are in 7/4 time (the 7 means 7 beats per measure, the 4 means each quarter note is a beat.)
Thank you for explaining that, it confuses me haha
@@Abigirl_Reacts Hey, your instincts were dead-on though
i would say it's more 7/8, since it is just one eighth note short of being 4/4
@@hamster7511 Pau has an opinion on that, too. But I don't remember which!
An absolutely brilliant band. They’re great songwriters and performers, and their music covers a wide range of styles and genres.
What's your favorite cover?
Thank you, I'll have to check it out!
@@Abigirl_Reacts They have a new cover on You Tube "You Ought to Know"!
You need to check out the MTV Musiv Video awards performance of this song and 'More.' They nearly burn the place down with how on fire they are.

A rabbit hole I've been stuck in for over a year. We are traveling from Phoenix Az to Toronto next week to see them on my daughters 18th birthday. They were recently labeled The Queens of Rock and rightly so.🤘🤘❤
Have fun! I'm so jealous!
Watching them live is a whole another level. The MTV VMA version of this song is something you should see.

So impressive! I'm sure they're having a blast on tour
So impressive!
I'll keep that second album in mind, thanks!
10 years of writing, composing and singing one of the best music at all
So impressive ^_^
My favorite band. They are brilliant.
💯 %
Woah way to go Paulina!
@@Abigirl_Reacts Teatro Metropolitan - "Narcisista". Without knowing You would not believe She`s drummer.

Welcome to The Warning! I hope you continue down this amazing rabbit hole, you will not be disappointed!
I definitely plan to! Pepsi center concert coming soon!
Thanks for the support! I too was obsessed with rock band. Those were good times!
Absolutely love The Warning! Was hoping you'd get around to reacting to them. Definitely check out their live performances, they're on a whole another level. Maybe check out Disciple live from the Pepsi Center CDMX 2023.

Welcome to the wonderful world of The Warning. You will enjoy the ride

Formed in 2013, latest album of four "keep me fed" released i june 2024, They got inspired to start a band from playing the video game rock band. have toured with major rock bands, there is a lot to listen to and watch by these girls/women. Only good songs. Dive into them!
Definitely thinking about it! They're amazing
This is the first time on your channel, I love your reaction to The Warning here. I'm impressed that you picked up on the time signature change, most reactors miss it. If you continue down The Warning rabbit hole, I'll be here for it.
I plan to for sure, I'm hooked already!
Calling it now, Paulina will be my favorite 😍
@@Abigirl_Reacts Ah but Ale will steal your heart! And Dany will pull you into her soul!

The Warnings super power is playing live! Automatic Sun is on their new album, but anything from the Pepsi Center will rock you.
Added, thanks so much!

Foo Fighters and others - they have put out 5 albums since their Enter Sandman in 2014 went viral when they were 14,12, and 9 years old
So impressive ^_^
I'm in my 50's and am hooked on this band. Half of their fans seem to be older rockers that don't care about the Warning being attractive young women, we are all just too delighted that someone is putting out the best new rock music in 30 years.
Haha, but being *easy on the eyes* doesn't harm their cause either.
Though it seems they are _angels in wolf's clothing_ , doesn't it - you can hardly find a more wholesome set of -girls- siblings in the performing arts sphere can you?
Yup. I'm 73. Brought up on Deep Purple, The Who, Stones, Beatles etc. etc. These girls can hold their heads up with anything I have seen. Love them.

The riff is in 7/8ths. Got started by playing Rock Band video game. Been around since 2013 as babies. Check out their redux of Enter Sandman from the Pepsi Center concert. GROUNDBREAKING!
I love rock band! Will definitely check out that concert soon ^_^
They wanted to do a video of this song but the record company was maxed out so they did this themselves on 16 lPnones & a drone
So impressive! I wonder who flew the drone?
Hahaa! Welcome to Pau's famous "scream of destruction"! She does that live at the end of nearly every show, since Evolve is their usual closing song. In some more recent of their headliner shows, she tells the audience to join in too, and they sure do.
Paulina is feisty. I like her!
@@Abigirl_Reacts She's awesome! This tiny 5-foot tall nuclear reactor.
Very creative for only 2 hours!
Added all of those, thanks so much!
You are right, the time signature in that little part is 7/4, as opossed to the regular time of 2/4 or 4/4, these girls are cool like that! Glad to subscribe for more The Warning reactions!
Yea 7/8, I knew I heard something cool and different on that part!
Aw I played rock band too, how awesome! I was more like 17 though lol
