11:07 for this part Pau is singing the lower harmony. Ale actually comes in and sings "breathe in, breathe out" in high falsetto harmony This song, from The Warning's third album *ERROR* (recorded in 2020 but released in 2022), dives into the crushing weight of overwhelming emotions. The protagonist doesn't seek escape but instead surrenders to the pain, asking to "let me drown" as a way of relinquishing the struggle. According to Pau, it's about being so consumed by feelings that you start to choke on them, offering the song as a space for listeners to feel comforted in their own struggles. Dany added that the music reflects the tension and struggle expressed in the lyrics, with every riff emphasizing that emotional battle. The song is a poignant depiction of hopelessness and emotional surrender.

I envy those few lucky souls who have heard Ale sign lead on a few songs like Hunter and Red hands never fade when Dany needed a break. Whenever Ale signs, the crowd goes silent to fully appreciate her.
Not always, unfortunately. In Toronto, the crowd went absolutely nuts when Ale stepped up to the mic for her part in Choke. I remember it being fine hearing her voice live, but in my recording the crowd up at the front is partially drowning her out. People just get so excited for Ale!
If you want to hear Ale sing go to "The Warning Official Quarantine Show." It's from March 2020 right after their tour got canceled and they are in their basement practice room (The Warning Cave). Ale sings "Hunter" and it's at the 26:36 mark. Also check out "The Warning Perfect Pitch Challenge" and see who has the best pitch.
There’s also a video here on UA-cam of the Preston and Steve Show for WMMR here in Philadelphia, with a full interview but also a performance of “Money” with a twist: Dany needed to rest her voice that day, so it was a stripped-down, almost acoustic version, with Pau singing lead and Ale singing backup as well as Dany’s “Give me that / I want that” lines. Ale managed to sound almost exactly like Dany.

Dany & Pau have said in interviews that Ale is incredible. "Perfect pitch, incredible timing, great technical skills, & should be a model." She' the total package
Unfortunately, it seems like her gifts also have their downsides. One of the most plausible explanations I’ve heard for why Ale doesn’t sing much is that her perfect pitch makes it harder for her to shrug it off if she hits a wrong note. After Hunter, Dany explains that as Ale matures she struggles with the verses in Hunter but is fine for the chorus because the verses are at the very bottom of Ale’s range. The fact she has perfect pitch may actually be the reason she doesn't like to sign as much. In practice she is also close to having perfect signing pitch also, but because she can hear it when she is off she may be less inclined to sign loudly.
Pau's "standard" mic setup is a headset microphone, which sometimes throws people off. We tend to think of these microphones as a "poor quality", but they don't have to be. Ale tends to be more dynamic in her mic use, although it very definitely depends on the song. Often she blends in so perfectly with her sisters to the point that we don't realize she's even singing.
I priced out Pau’s mic setup on a whim one day and was somewhat shocked at how expensive the entire system is, it’s more than just the mic. She also has the transmitter she has clipped to her outfit behind her back and the controller that interfaces with their overall system. High cost doesn’t always equate to high quality but in this case it seems to be true. That’s one thing about TW, they have nice equipment as any serious band should.
@@mjc1389 Yep - if you have crappy gear, you're going to sound like crap no matter how talented you are. OTOH, if you have the best gear you can afford, any crappy sound is all on YOU... and at least you can get better with practice. 😋
2:30 If you listen to The Warning long enough, you will hear a lot of stuff that is familiar. They're really good at bringing just enough of their influence into a song for it to sound eerily familiar. I have it happen virtually every song (then again, I am over 50 and was very into hard rock and heavy metal in the 90s, where a lot of their influences come from).
@@Abigirl_Reacts The day this dropped with the OMV, the girls were on a livestream introducing the song, then they played the song live from their basement practice room, known as The Warning Cave. The Warning Army lost their collective shit when Ale stepped up and sang her solo part. Favorite song, and note that it changes all the time, right now is Satisfied from their latest album.
Ale's singing in Choke is always a hightlight of the song - the crowd's reaction to her is so great! I really love the second verse of this song, with the cool bass line that she lays down. In my opinion, The Warning are the "Queens of the Second Verse". They almost always change it up and bring a bit more to the second verse. My current favourite is Automatic Sun, but that could change at any time!
CHOKE did get airplay streaming and on radio so you may have heard it before you knew about them. It was the first single released from their Mayday EP which became a full release LP called Error. Ale often backs away for a moment but goes back to the mic so perhaps the camera just didn’t catch it.
Ale singing lead is rarer than rocking horse shit! IMO the best place to hear Ale sing lead is on the Quarantine show the girls did from the basement during covid. You’re gonna have a blast watching that.
You may have heard the song in a store or something. People post online about hearing The Warning in the wild all the time. I heard them first when I was checking out music in Amazon Musics discovery playlist. Money was the first song that I heard from them so I have a special place in my heart for that one.
Ale's moment in the spotlight is the very best part of this song! This entire album is fire - but for me, their best song is still XXI Century Blood, which they also sing in this concert (although the original video back when they were still teens is the best version of the song). Can't wait for you to do the MV + Live reaction to that one!!
Many people don´t take the bull by the horn and deal with their problems. The song is about submerging your self in hardship and difficulties, because only by facing your fears you can get rid of them (hence the girl in the tank being unshackled and swimming without sorrows in the end) .
Our Mistakes/WILDFIRE (actually 2 songs but performed and released in one video) from the dakota bar my favorite song got beat out by UGH from the teatro the other day and i never seen it coming, hit me like a freight train, thanks for asking, awesome time, thanks again
Sometimes a song is as inside us, it's like being so strongly related to a melody, without ever having even heard it! It happened to me too, sometimes!
From what I can gather in following the Warning for the past few months... Alejandra is the introvert of the group. She is totally fine with NOT singing lead but her background vocals are vital to the song. She is the metronome of the group and her baselines set the tone for the whole song, whatever the song. She is the youngest of the 3, almost 5 years younger than Danyela. This may be my second favorite, after Animosity
Choke was the first release off the Mayday EP and it clearly demonstrated that TW had gone next level (and their earlier stuff was great too!). Three years later they are much improved over that.🤘 Think the term you're looking for is Déjà Vudoo Child and with any luck they'll cover that next! 🎸🔥😁
I have 2 songs that I can't choose between...But for the sake of this I will. "Queen of the Murder Scene". I'll pick that one, because it's part of a brilliant concept album that is like an opera that Pau wrote when she was only 16 years old. And though the album is a case study in teenage girl angst, it also has a maturity to it that is so incredible for what was at the time an 18, 16, and 13 year old band. The other one is "Money". If QOTMS wasn't such an overwhelmingly cool story/album, Money would be my favorite hands down.
I dont think i can choose a favorite song but my favorite Album is Queen of the Murder Scene. Im a sucker for a good concept album telling a single story.
You can always hear Ale’s bass for a couple good reasons. First, they usually don’t have the bass just follow the guitar, and I think that’s a big part of how they often manage to generate a fuller sound than people would expect from a trio. I really noticed this when I paid attention to their re-imagining of “Enter Sandman” (not the viral 2014 video, but the version for the Metallica Blacklist album, and which is in this concert). They reengineered the infamous riff at the beginning so that the notes are actually split between the guitar and the bass. In addition, though, since (as noted elsewhere) Ale is the one with perfect pitch *and* perfect rhythm (Pau calls her the human metronome) I think The Warning’s songs are particularly engineered so both Dany and Pau can ground themselves with her.
Because you ask to choose: from their first album (XXICB) Wildfire, from QOTMS album P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C, from their ERROR album Amour and from KMF album Que más Quieres. 😅 very dificult to choose just one of each album
The one song for me is so easy "23" sung by Pau - the live versions at the Teatro Metropolitan and as you will eventually see, here at The Pepsi Centre (unfortunately Pau was sick,so left out the final high notes she ended on at the Teatro Metropolitan) - possibly a double reaction to both versions would be worth doing,as they do differ, and they show how great Pau is as a drummer/vocalist. I think now, "Breathe" from the Pepsi Centre will now be a very close second, again as you are reacting to this concert, you're gonna find out why - be prepared to possibly shed a tear or two on that epic performance
This incredible and fully immersive sound is created by only three musicians... it's sensational. I compare it to Rush, who had an exceptional bassist and drummer, and a guitarist who invented everything that others couldn't do... and everything came out perfect.
This is an amazing song the OMV was the first time Dany showed off her vocal chops for me then I saw the live version and was blown away how she hits those notes so effortlessly. The live also shows how much Pau sings which was way more than I caught on the MV while killing it on the drums. Ale's vocals moment is a favorite for the fans. The riffs and bassline in this song are crazy good. Great reaction love how you're doing this show really enjoying it thank you. 🔥⚡⚡⚡
In case no one else has. Commented yet, the word you’re looking for is Premonition. You may have heard Choke on radio. There was a mash-up version done with Grandson and Zero 9:36 that received some attention, too. S, it is quite possible you have heard the chorus a few times.
When you get to Black Holes, if your starter vid is *_Black Holes - Live @ Dakota Bar_*, there's a (too brief) but incredibly lovely few bars at the end where you can clearly hear Ale singing. It makes me melt but yearn for more, every time. ---- I can't give you one song, that's way too difficult, but Amour, coming up next, is one of the most underrated songs in rock & roll history (not exaggerating, that's what I believe). Should've been a massive world-wide hit (if we lived in any kind of rational world, heehee).
*Choke* to me *Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... "that vice is overpriced"... i'll get through it my way, don't try to help... i feel that it is a song about emotional and mental strength... other original songs of similar nature are TW's *Evolve* and *Survive* (which you may have already seen) 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
such a good song, eh? the song number for the tracks from this show are in the lower-right corner of the thumbnail for the official video. the lyrics, if i remember correctly, are about wanting to work through your own problems and emotions even if they're overwhelming, rather than have someone else reach in and "fix" them for you. :)
If I had to name only one favorite song, then I'd probably say Money because I feel it's quite unique and different from their other songs. But only by a hair... and only because you ''forced'' me to chose... and I would probably have another answer tommorrow 😜. They have so many great songs.
First, don't apologize for rewinding Ale's parts. We all enjoy it. It doesn't happen often and deserves to be savored. Secondly, as far as 'perfect pitch'. That just means she can identify pitch correctly, not that she can sing it perfectly. Many believe the fact that she has perfect pitch contributes to her unwillingness to sing. She can hear all her own flaws perfectly. Third - there is a saying among Warning fans. Your favorite song is the last one you heard. They are all so good, that whatever is freshest in your mind seems to be 'the best' or 'your favorite'. Until you hear another song.
@@Abigirl_Reacts That is one of my favorites. Though I much prefer the Teatro Metropolitan performance over the Pepsi Center. So much so that I listen to it every night while going around turning everything off before going to bed. The vibe of the song just relaxes me and puts me in a great head-space for ending the day.
Love your reactions! You´re asking the impossible, I can´t chose just one song as my favorite. But I can narrow it down to any song where Pau sings lead. I love Dany, don´t get me wrong, but Pau is my favorite for some reason. I just love her to death.

I'm surprised Dany has the lowest range, I would have guessed it was Ale!
The fact she has perfect pitch may actually be the reason she doesn't like to sign as much. In practice she is also close to having perfect signing pitch also, but because she can hear it when she is off she may be less inclined to sign loudly.
Deja vu is the word you’re looking for … I love this band .. and this song 👏👏 great reaction 😊😊
That's the word!
Guess you mean a Deja vu, when you think you been there before
That's it!
I think she orders it that way anyway!
Hehe I'll need to listen to more warning ⚠️ then! ^_^
When Ale sings her little solo part, she Chokes me up every time. Tears and all. I love her voice. See what I did there? Great reaction.
Oh i see haha I felt the same way!
Managed to record that part of "Choke", being like 2-3 metres from Her, but no recording can give that feeling. Unbelievable.
This is the first The Warning song that had radio play!
Oh wow, that's awesome!
Excellent reaction. They're all my favorites, I can't choose my favorite song. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘
Haha you're the first to refuse to pick! That's dedication ^_^
Ale has perfect timing and perfect pitch, meaning she knows what note she is hearing without reference, but not perfect singing pitch.
She did the best of the 3 sisters in the Perfect Pitch Challenge.
That's true, perfect pitch is different than perfect singing pitch (which I believe is near impossible to do)
@Abigirl_Reacts I am pretty sure there are people with perfect singing pitch, Charlie Puth being one of them.
Haha I understand. Thank you, and I noted that down!
Right now, my favorite song of theirs is Escapism, tomorrow that could change 😊
Seems to be a popular choice!
the word you're looking for is déjà vu.....And I'm in love with their story and their music...
That's it!
CHOKE did get airplay streaming and on radio so you may have heard it before you knew about them. It was the first single released from their Mayday EP which became a full release LP called Error.
Ale often backs away for a moment but goes back to the mic so perhaps the camera just didn’t catch it.
Its possible then! 🤘😊🤘
I love your reactions, is really hard to pick a favorite song but I will go with "Animosity"
This is the first time i heard of this one, thanks!
Ale singing lead is rarer than rocking horse shit! IMO the best place to hear Ale sing lead is on the Quarantine show the girls did from the basement during covid. You’re gonna have a blast watching that.
Such a fun concert
Can't wait to get to that one!
You may have heard the song in a store or something. People post online about hearing The Warning in the wild all the time. I heard them first when I was checking out music in Amazon Musics discovery playlist. Money was the first song that I heard from them so I have a special place in my heart for that one.
I heard it somewhere that's for sure!
As much as I love all of The Warning's Music Videos, the live performances are on another level! Awesome Reaction!
They are, agreed!
It’s like finding a gold nugget every time!🎸🤘
Every time!
Ale's moment in the spotlight is the very best part of this song! This entire album is fire - but for me, their best song is still XXI Century Blood, which they also sing in this concert (although the original video back when they were still teens is the best version of the song). Can't wait for you to do the MV + Live reaction to that one!!
Awesome! That's in this concert right?
@Abigirl_Reacts It is! But you've got more than a few songs to get through to get to it. 😁
This is one of my favs as well
The Warning is always spot on.
Oh yea!
Many people don´t take the bull by the horn and deal with their problems. The song is about submerging your self in hardship and difficulties, because only by facing your fears you can get rid of them (hence the girl in the tank being unshackled and swimming without sorrows in the end) .
Love this interpretation, thanks so much for sharing!
Just one favourite song from The Warning?
Impossible!
🤘😊🤘
Ale 🫶 the biggest of a sweet heart 👍 the back bone of ⚡THE WARNING ⚡ the BIG little Sister 🎸
Love that, big little sister!
!!!GOODISM¡¡¡ The Warning is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵Ole Ole Ole Oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
🤘😊🤘
My favorite song is "Shattered heart" (followed very close by "Z", "Dull knives" and "Queen of the murder scene").
I didn't have shattered heart on my list, all fixed! Ty
My favorite song by The Warning is “23.” It’s coming up soon in this concert.
Awesome, can't wait to hear it ^_^
Our Mistakes/WILDFIRE (actually 2 songs but performed and released in one video) from the dakota bar my favorite song got beat out by UGH from the teatro the other day and i never seen it coming, hit me like a freight train, thanks for asking, awesome time, thanks again
Interesting ok, awesome! Added to my list, thanks!
@@Abigirl_Reacts thats way way down the rabbit hole, keep working that pepsi center, plenty more when that runs out, hehe
Sometimes a song is as inside us, it's like being so strongly related to a melody, without ever having even heard it! It happened to me too, sometimes!
Maybe that happened to me?
When the OMV was released in May of 2021 they were 21, 19, and 16!!! years old.
So impressive! 🤘😊🤘
My absolute favorite is Animosity. If you like Choke and the catchy chorus, you'll love Animosity.
Oh yea, can't wait to hear this one then!
Added, thanks a bunch!
Choke was the first release off the Mayday EP and it clearly demonstrated that TW had gone next level (and their earlier stuff was great too!). Three years later they are much improved over that.🤘
Think the term you're looking for is Déjà Vudoo Child and with any luck they'll cover that next! 🎸🔥😁
Deja vu, that's it!
Favorite song. That's sooo hard. The song that I've listened to the most is Survive.
First time seeing this request, thank you! ^_^
THANKS FOR YOUR REACTION TO ANOTHEE AMAZING WARNING SONG❤❤❤
Thanks for watching ^_^
I have 2 songs that I can't choose between...But for the sake of this I will. "Queen of the Murder Scene". I'll pick that one, because it's part of a brilliant concept album that is like an opera that Pau wrote when she was only 16 years old. And though the album is a case study in teenage girl angst, it also has a maturity to it that is so incredible for what was at the time an 18, 16, and 13 year old band.
The other one is "Money". If QOTMS wasn't such an overwhelmingly cool story/album, Money would be my favorite hands down.
Added both, thanks!
Ale sings red hands never fade and hunter at last years toronto concert. She sounds great!!!
I gotta hear this!
Deja vu is the phrase you were trying to remember
That's it!
I dont think i can choose a favorite song but my favorite Album is Queen of the Murder Scene. Im a sucker for a good concept album telling a single story.
I'll keep that in mind!
You also hear the audience backing vocals throughout the whole song.
Oh yea they're definitely singing along!
@@Abigirl_Reacts That would've been a great show to be witness to.❤🙏✌
You can always hear Ale’s bass for a couple good reasons.
I can't wait to hear enter the sandman from the concert!
Ale has a wonderful voice, and people wish she would sing more lead parts. But she really prefers not to. So we take what we can get!
I hear ya! ^_^
my favourite song is Revenant (Theatro Metropolitan 2022 with guest-guitarrist Pliego Villarreal) performed ba Pau
Nice, added! Tysm
Because you ask to choose: from their first album (XXICB) Wildfire, from QOTMS album P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C, from their ERROR album Amour and from KMF album Que más Quieres. 😅 very dificult to choose just one of each album
I bet haha
My favorite The Warning song is Hell You Call A Dream, especially the Pepsi Center version.
Can't wait to get to that one!
I think 23 is next!
many of us and reactors get those same feelings,, the "i've heard this, or, what's that song this reminds me of?" fav song? HYCAD
Thank you, added!
Great reaction! My favorite might be 'Martirio' but honestly, I could change my mind at any moment. Thanks!
Thanks for choosing one! I know it's difficult haha
This incredible and fully immersive sound is created by only three musicians... it's sensational. I compare it to Rush, who had an exceptional bassist and drummer, and a guitarist who invented everything that others couldn't do... and everything came out perfect.
So impressive! 🤘😊🤘
It really was incredibly effortless wasn't it?
In case no one else has. Commented yet, the word you’re looking for is Premonition. You may have heard Choke on radio. There was a mash-up version done with Grandson and Zero 9:36 that received some attention, too. S, it is quite possible you have heard the chorus a few times.
This must have been what happened
There's an old saying when it comes to The Warning... Your favorite song is the last one you listened to!!!
I believe it!
Haha thanks so much, added amour!
*Choke*
to me *Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help...
"just let me drown" in my troubles... "that vice is overpriced"... i'll get through it my way, don't try to help...
i feel that it is a song about emotional and mental strength...
other original songs of similar nature are TW's *Evolve* and *Survive* (which you may have already seen) 😹
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
I love reading people's interpretations!
such a good song, eh? the song number for the tracks from this show are in the lower-right corner of the thumbnail for the official video.
the lyrics, if i remember correctly, are about wanting to work through your own problems and emotions even if they're overwhelming, rather than have someone else reach in and "fix" them for you. :)
Oh in the thumbnail, thanks so much for clearing that up. I see it now!
If I had to name only one favorite song, then I'd probably say Money because I feel it's quite unique and different from their other songs. But only by a hair... and only because you ''forced'' me to chose... and I would probably have another answer tommorrow 😜. They have so many great songs.
Sorry for giving you! But happy you answered haha
It’s funny because Ale’ is the only one who never gets nervous before or during the show lol
Oh really? Wow! 👌
My favorite Warning song is always THE LAST ONE I HEARD!!!! :)
Well said!
I bet that's true because I really liked the one I heard today! Amour
If you want to hear Ale singin lead there are a few fancam videos out there where she sings Red Hands, Sinister Smiles, Hunter and River's Soul
Awesome, thanks!
Love your reactions! You´re asking the impossible, I can´t chose just one song as my favorite. But I can narrow it down to any song where Pau sings lead. I love Dany, don´t get me wrong, but Pau is my favorite for some reason. I just love her to death.
My favorite as well!
Ey, amiga. Todos estamos felices en el momento que escuchamos a Alejandra cantar. 🥰
💯
Hell yes my queen has just uploaded another reaction gonna enjoy watching this and of course I look absolutely stunning as always Ur pretty with and without glasses on ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
@Abigirl_Reacts Ur welcome queen 👑
The next one will be your favourite too 😀 Prepare for 20 new favourite songs.
Haha I bet you're right!
My favourite is still Automatic Sun.
Noted, thank you!
Right now, my fave is Hell You Call a Dream. But it changes often.
I'm sure that happens a lot. Added though, ty!
My favorite warning song is XX1 CENTURY BLOOD the official video.
Noted, thanks so much!
if i really Really REALLY have to choose one song, it would probably be *Escapism* , track 6 on their just released 4th album, _"Keep Me Fed"_ 🤯
it pushes so many buttons and reaches into places in my soul long thought to be inaccessible...
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Added, ty!
One song? OMG, that’s the hardest question you can ask with The Warning, with over 60 good songs haha. I think it would be The End, just because of Dany’s exquisite solo and because is the perfect ending song for their novel album.
Got it added, thanks!
6:56 oh no, you didn't let the music video finish !! One thing you'll learn with videos from The Warning, if you need to let them finish to the end. There's always a chance you're going to miss something!!
Lesson learned ^_^
Love your reactions. Is it deja vu you were thinking about? Doesn't get any better then this! Had to wait for Ale's part and she nailed it! They had a clip on tiktok with pitch. Ale was the best, Pau's turn was so funny. and Dany did good. S!CK is my favorite The Warning song. Maybe because I have lyrics tattooed on my wrist. You have a great day!!!
That'll do it haha thanks so much, added. I don't even recognize Alejandra in that clip haha
I’ve said it before and I will probably say it again. Ale recorded the album when she was 15. 15!
So impressive! 🤘😊🤘
I like all their songs, but one stands out QOTMS.
Noted, ty!
Favorite song for me is "Martirio".
Noted, tysm!
Deja vu is the word you were lookjng for.
That's it!
You’re hooked! The Pepsi Center concert was 10/28/2013. About a year ago… magic. Ale CAN sing. She just prefers not to. I think she sounds a bit like Linda Ronstadt.
Ale can for sure sing 💯
I think you meant 2023 not 2013. 😂
Typo…
Been following you down your Babymetal Foxhole from the beginning, and now I'm going down the rabbit hole with you and loving The Warning ! ❤🤘🎶
Awesome! Thank you so much for the support!
The last song you hear from The Warning is the good one.
The last song in this concert?
@Abigirl_Reacts In other words, it doesn't matter the order you listen them, the last one will be the better.
Listen Dust To Dust... with Paulina on vocals... amazing song
I'm doing the whole Pepsi center concert so I'll get to it eventually!
Check out "More" live at the 2023 VMAs. Alejandra sings a nice solo/duo with Danny mid way the song. And it's a different tone of her voice. Love your reactions!! I have been enjoying going on this The Warning journey. Here to support you!😊. Much Love from Denver Colorado ☀️🌄🔥⚡🎸🎶🎵❤️
Thanks for the support!
Viva The Warning!⚡⚡🤘🤘
